Hi Shia, how lovely to meet you , a excellent tutorial and so well explained, i had been looking for a tutorial on hexagon cardigan with a dense stitch for some time, thank you so much for sharing and am definitely going to try this out and crochet a baby cardigan first 🙌👌Hasumati from London Uk 👍👍❤️🙏🏻
Looks like I'd done a cut there before because I saw the mistake in my words but I didn't cut out the right spot. It's fixed now. May take a minute to catch up in the system. Thanks!!
It's no longer in stock but, it was the I LOVE THIS YARN hobby lobby Plums (428) yarn and then black for the hem and cuff. Both worsted weight, acrylic. On Amazon there are 44 options for colors though and I'd go with 3 skeins of one of those. amzn.to/3Ytbwqp
Yes that's right. You make two halves and just size it accordingly to the length you'd like. You can adjust the sleeves, length and width a bit as well at the end when you attach the two parts . This is part 2 should help: ruclips.net/video/VAVJf0DERHk/видео.html
hi it's moody mosaic yarn from I love this yarn. You can find it at hobby lobby. I am going to write a pattern but haven't yet. I'll post it on my website at CraftyTurtleco.com when I do. subscribe to keep informed. thanks for asking.
Hi I mainly did it as it was easier for me to find where I needed to place my hook next and it worked as part of the rhythm for the pattern of the moss stitch.
@@CraftyTurtlethanks. I was actually having a hard time finding my chains to do the correct stitch. I love the moss stitch but always have a hard time starting it and doing the hexagon is even harder. Thank you for your feedback. I might try different yarn. Oh and that yarn is absolutely beautiful 😍
I don't want to be rude, just give constructive criticism: this yarn is inadequate for this tutorial. I came here for the start/tricks (i'm not a beginner now) but i can't understand why to use a colorful yarn for very basic/beginner-friendly tutorials? The most important first stitches can barely seen :/ Explanation is OK, but i suggest to use a better yarn (one color, a bit shinier/smoother). Thanks for the video tho

Thank you for the comment. I am so glad I helped. It's my mission to help others learn to crochet! I hope to see your cardigan soon!
Hello. On the second round, why is there a sc ch1 sc ch2 sc in the first chain 2 space but all the rest is only sc ch2 sc?
Here: 3:23
Oh boy good catch, thanks for showing me. It's definitely just a SC, ch 2, SC for the corners. I'll edit the video.

Love the yarn you're using for this tutorial. Care to share yarn brand and color?

Today years old when I learned that Hobby Lobby yarn on Amazon. Thanks
I have never made a hexi cardigan. Would like to make one for my daughter. Do you just keep repeating the rows until you it is big enough?

If I want to make a size 2X, how do I do that just by increasing the hexagon or bigger hooksize. Please help!!!
The hexagon would need to be bigger. I'd do a many rounds until it seems to fit half your body. Use a tape measure
What yarns did you use. Is there a written pattern
hi it's moody mosaic yarn from I love this yarn. You can find it at hobby lobby.
I am going to write a pattern but haven't yet. I'll post it on my website at CraftyTurtleco.com when I do. subscribe to keep informed. thanks for asking.
What size hook did you use
I used a 5.5mm hook and worsted weight yarn.
Whats the weight of yarn please is it cotton
Hi is a #4 or worsted weight acrylic but you could use a #4 cotton too.
Why do you turn the hexagon with each round?
Hi I mainly did it as it was easier for me to find where I needed to place my hook next and it worked as part of the rhythm for the pattern of the moss stitch.
It also prevents a slanted "seam" look.

Subtítulos en español please
Hi I'm sorry I don't have Spanish translation on here. If I do find a way I'll let you know!!

Sure no problem.
@@CraftyTurtle personally, I’ve always found that ombre yarns make it easier for me to see stitches. Thanks for the beautiful work!
