      Taking on the challenge of the damage was impressive. The end result was really good. The ways to the end can always be discussed, but that's the fun! Keep up the good work, both the jobs and the videos, and ignore (or block) the people who like to be negative. Good to see shop dog! I hope working with your parents is working out!

    Your first responsibility is to your customer, not your RUclips audience. If you found yourself getting frustrated and videoing the process became stressful, you did exactly the right thing by turning off the camera and finishing the job. The result is beautiful and you should be proud of your work. Thanks for sharing with us.

    First-time commenter here from the States. Bravo, you are human! We all make mistakes. As a female, almost 76, I've made plenty. But, young lady, you picked yourself up and created a masterpiece! You are a talented woodworker! Please don't be so hard on yourself. If a troll wants to spew hate, let them. The vast majority of viewers admire your work. Love and hugs, young friend!❤😊

I think seeing that even the absolute professionals, which you are, run into problems encourages those of us that are really hard on ourselves too. I can't imagine how difficult it is to run into the criticism public people encounter. It is easy for us to say "don't let it get to you". Much easier said than done. At the end of the day, you know how much you care. You know how willing you are to extend yourself on behalf of the people lucky enough to bring their prized possessions for you to rescue. Those items mean a lot to the people who own them. You are making the world a better place and you own that! Nothing and no one can take that away from you.

    The problem with so many DIY shows and RUclips channels is that they only show when everything goes as planned. For home amateurs, nothing goes as planned. I think the key to a really good channel is for the host to always think for every step, "What if they can't do it?" then explain workarounds. The point is that the best channels show everything: the good, the bad, and the ugly because they will answer the millions of questions that never get answered. All the "what ifs". That's more important than all the "know-it-all" comments.

There you were talking so nonchalantly, whereas I would have known I was bound to fail. Doing that much repair would never work. In a time where everyone posts their oh so perfect work on social media, it's nice to be reminded that making beautiful things can be difficult and stressful. Thank you for this! Truly inspiring. Now tell her to get that dusty yucky TV off your beautiful finish!

    Just want to say, your channel has made me fall in love with antiques. You really do things right, now when I watch other channels it annoys me when they don't do certain things

    Your first obligation is to your customer and TRUE supporters will understand that. If you feel like you need to stop recording to concentrate on getting the quality result you need to then that is the right thing to do. If someone does not understand that then they have not been in a similar situation. I know there have been several times building something I get frustrated and just walk away as I know if I keep going I am going to make a bigger mess. Trena, you have taught me so much with your videos and in fact so much that we have expanded our business to doing furniture repairs and minor restorations. So thank you for being you and never stop being that!

    Unless in the next vid, you walk on water, not sure how you can top this for difficulty overcome by skill and dertermination. Couldn't even see your patches on the final footage. You ROCK, Trena. Even with the missing footage, thanks for sharing this amazing save.

    You know, it's really helpful for us amateurs to know that the pros make mistakes and aren't happy with how things go. We can learn a lot from watching someone fix the things that go wrong. I would have liked to see the footage of how you blended those patches in.

    Honestly, it's helpful, sometimes, that it DIDN'T go as planned. As someone who is beginning their journey, to see someone as skilled as you (I've been watching you for a while) make wrong decisions or have something not work out as planned is encouraging. Not that it was fun watching you struggle but the fact that even if you make mistakes you can sometimes correct them. As a newbie, it's too easy to throw in the towel and give up on a piece.
    "Trust the process" as they say.
    If the process isn't working, "plot twist!" and continue on
    Thank you for showing us the good and the bad. It's more helpful than you know.

    Trena, don’t be so hard on yourself. We all have made mistakes on projects, but in The end you knocked it out of the park! 😊

Very proud of you lil grasshopper. {I'm almost 76 and my Timex is still tickin, when I'm dead, it'll probably stop. LOL}

    Dang Trina! If your customer only knew what you went through. But, like you said, you knocked it out of the park in the end. It looks amazing! You are a master at what you do and it's OK to make mistakes. You figured it out.
