That S1000R sounds MUCH better. I test rode one a few weeks back and thought it was a fantastic machine, just too quiet. Some would say it 'lacked character'. But I think a lot of that comes from the sound a bike makes. This upgrade definitely gives it a voice/character!
It's just really refined, which some may find "boring". We've learned to appreciate the lack of attitude haha
Bill you should change the tft display to sports mode when doing your track rides. Lean angle, g force breaking vital info when giving instructions around the track
Why would you be concerned with the dash when you need to be 100% focused on the track....
Dude don’t need to be 100% focused to watch a video. For entertainment purposes his viewers can watch lean angle and breaking and traction control in real time. Trying to point out some of the benefits of the S1K tft screen.
You can turn off the light warnings by choosing Race track, in the settings menu.

Also one more thing. How does the s1000r braking feel with the stock calipers and master cylinder? In terms of brake fade, performance loss and the lever getting squishy with it not being a “track oriented machine” like the RR.

Yes, I can see that perspective! I should have said 'sport' probably -- for me it's whether I want those M wheels and the pipe. Silver is gorgeous, and clearly it can move

I do miss the wheelies from my 19' s1kr. So much harder to wheelie the punchy sdr. I imagine the v4 would be the same

Hi, i also bought a s1000r with ddc. how does it work on track. Are you plan to upgrade your Suspension or is it possible so setup something manuel over the 3eletronic stages like Dynamik, road...?
It works great on track. There's some manual adjustability and then you can change rider amounts to help stiffen the bike. Please work with your local suspension guy on the suspension.

Hey Bill! Do you think the shorty CRT can may have something to do with the existing dip in your bottom revs? Perhaps try out the long akra to see if it solves the problem?
@@CaliMotoTV yea you'd mentioned. I was just a little bummed at it not getting ironed out completely like how it does on the RR. I think bren had mentioned that they faced issues with shorty/gp style pipes, so for a test if you can check it out? Too much hassle? Worth a shot?

Why no M-Package with Carbon Wheels ? :)
Tbh we'd probably replace all the expensive M package bits anyway, and it's cheaper to just by the wheels at that point.
What's the tankpad you are using?
Hello great video really would it be possible to tell me how many turns had you added to the preload of the front and rear springs kar me I find my bmw s1000r 2021 pa very stable that would be cool just thank you in advance 🙏👍
7 in the front, 10 1/2 in the rear.

What does 145mph with no fairing feel like
i was wondering if you have this famous wobble at a higher speed? there is a lot going on about that and people are saying that this illness is not gone on the new model.
I added an adjustable damper but even with the stock damper I never had that bad of a wobble.

This suspension BS is just a classic example of a manufacturer using software to needlessly limit a product line to create a false sense of divide between 2 products with similar hardware capabilities. I'm sure this is a great bike, but this would totally bum me out, not being able to adjust the thing to my taste and instead be caught between just 2 pre defined semi active modes. 🤷♂️
