    Recently I purchased one of these from an authorized dealer and absolutely love it No alignment issues or any other QC concerns .Mine also is a “made in Japan “ model .One thing I have noticed after looking at many videos about this watch is that the watches that come in the plain cardboard box are all made in Japan .All the ones I saw that came in the limited edition box hade no indication they were made in Japan . Having a watch that was made in Japan is much cooler to me than a special box

      Interesting info about the box. Thanks for the comment !

    I bought mine from that Dubai seller on eBay. I actually made a stupid offer and they accepted. Shipping tracking originated from Jordan but came in under a week and watch is legit.

    I have one, and love it. The metal keeper also does not bother me, although for a large buckle, I wished they made it so the thick rubber strap would fit better under the buckle, like the way ALS makes its tang buckle so the strap fits under it without stacking.

      Crafter Blue makes a thick rubber strap for Samurai but it costs 65$

    Great video, I purchased one and love mine. The colors pop, and I love the way it looks like it’s glowing all the time, it gets people’s attention, which in turn makes them want one as well. Very happy with mine, I hope you enjoy yours as well. Thank you brother, cheers, Matt😊😊✌️✌️

      SRPD23. I modded bezel, insert, and crystal on it

    Looked a bezel misalignment in 12 oclock, am I right ?

      No. I'm pretty sure I had done this video after I did some tinkering with the chapter ring. Indice, chapter ring, and bezel insert all line up fine at 12 currently

    What makes this strap less functional for divers exactly?

    • @watchify1775
      @watchify1775  Год назад

      From what I understand, the accordian folds can stretch to accommodate a wetsuit sleeve

    • @a_single_white_female
      @a_single_white_female Год назад

      @@watchify1775 Not exactly. The supposed benefit of the accordion design is so that it can be overtightened on the surface, so that when descending it will remain tight as the wetsuit compresses due to pressure.
      I however, have yet to experience this in my 3 years of diving. And not a single dive computer manufacturer makes an accordion wrist strap, which you will see on the wrist of 99% of divers that wear something on the wrist. Even my super high end Shearwater computer comes with a straight silicone strap.
      Many tech divers have much larger computers and elect to use nylon straps or use surgical tubing.

      @@a_single_white_female OK - good to know. I am not a diver so thanks for sharing that info. I think the layperson would have thought that the folds served some purpose.

      @@watchify1775 I think most people do. I think Seiko themselves even advertised it that way back in the day. In practice, I feel they don't make much sense tho.

      I am not sure. Seiko does not mention that on their website. I wish they would.

    Thanks for the review man. Been eyeing up one of these for a little while now and this was a helpful presentation.
    I was a bit concerned about it being too large but it seems similar sizewise to my seiko 5 sport, and looked OK & not overly chunky on your wrist. Think you've swayed it for me pal. Sorry you won't get any commission ;)
