0:33 Agreeed on the Omega World Timer. It is a beautiful watch. I tried it on recently in an Omega Boutique. It's definately on my want list for a future purchase.
IWC overpriced, wildly overpriced , the Spitfire is definitely not any better than the Tudor ranger yet costs £2000 more !!!!! WHY ????? cannot understand the pricing from IWC and when it comes to IWC, I can’t help throw a B&M comment , The Riviera must be one of the most underrated watches you can buy.
Brands position themselves differently and decide to set their own prices accordingly. That’s the reason why some watches which may be similar or why not identical aside from their respective brand logos command widely different prices. That’s how it is.
I agree, they don’t even have COSC. Buying their watches is like a lottery, either you get one which is perfectly accurate or you get one that loses or gains 7-12 seconds a day. Unacceptable for the prices they charge. Such a shame because their designs are pretty good!
@@ersozsozer2 you will find with the Ranger that the movement is very very good. I own one and you are really into something there. Yes it is a very plain looking watch.
The blue leather strap on my Jazzmaster Gent is stunning. But as for my 2017 SMPc, I enjoy wearing it on the metal bracelet. And the Carrera is just perfect on a perforated rubber strap.
It’s kinda amusing that the ck859 is always considered a dress watch when all Sector Dial watches were specifically made as readable Pilot watches. It’s funny how designs don’t change but the ideas of fashion massively do.
Agree with you. Personally I call a dress watch a dress watch, and something like a CK a 'Dressier Watch'. That said I think watches such as the CK and even bracelet sports watches pretty much are dress watches these days, and I appreciate guys making the effort to own one and wear it as a dress watch over say a diver. The strap/clasp is the weak link in modern day 'dress' watches IMO. Its 2024, not 1924, and the watch industry is simply not interested in a modern day dress watch IMO. Rolex and Breitling make the biggest effort.
After my recent failed attempts of finding straps with modern materials I’m going to revert back to leather. I’m tired of sponsored strap reviews and feel like I’ve been deceived my so many watch RUclipsrs with their number / sailcloth / nylon offerings

Leather straps do look great but they don't last long and need to be replaced every few years. Just a few days of wearing a leather strap in the summer can ruin it.
Glad you put the Ranger and not the 1926 for Tudor. Surprised you put two Onegas on the list. For Hamilton, I think the Jazzmaster performer or the Aviation pionee (pocket watch movement) are more underrated than their Navy scuba. Great video though
Is the Cellini automatic or manual wind? You say it has an automatic movement, but the picture of a Rolex movement on screen is a manual-wind movement as it has no rotor
The Glashütte also has a 'Fully Automatic' movement...... Whatever that is 😂 Micro Rotor would be interesting but Chisholm Hunter probably do not sell any of those.
Love leather straps, comfortable, warm and look killer with the right watch. Wouldnt have a dress watch on anything else and my Speedmaster loves amazing on leather too.
I have a Ranger and I love it. Mostly because of the tool watch simplicity and the COSC certified movement. It's definitely a watch you either get or you don't.
All of these watches are not porpular for a reason. For example, any watch that has a date funciton but dont have a quick date setting is kinda useless. This is the only reason i didnt buy a speedmaster 57 and worldtime.
The world timer is just a GMT with an overly fussy chapter ring. Where was the rotor on the Cellini 'Automatic' movement? It looked manual wind to me. Props to Rolex for the curved end (but not fitted to case) strap. Weird you do not mention the important stuff lol.
I’m not a fan of metal bracelets. I use leather and rubber for all my watches. Wristwatch check: I’m wearing my zenith defy skeleton in blue (which has an el primero movement), with a white rubber strap on (it’s summer!). Zenith are way underrated/under appreciated. I love it, as do I love my green GO SeaQ panorama date (GO are also way underrated/under appreciated) Dare to be different and don’t wear what everyone else is wearing! As one AD said to me, 1/2 the.guys in the gym are wearing a Rolex (he’s a Rolex dealer, and I’ve never seen him with a Rolex on his wrist). I rarely wear my Daytona
Excellent video and the definition of underrated is always challenging, with it meaning entry level to some and then alternatives to more popular watches to others. The Zenith in this case being an alternative to the Daytona. The Zenith is a magnificent watch and not underrated by people who know watches, and can afford one, but the acid test will be how well it makes money for LVMH. The Aqua Terra is not underrated, at least going by used prices on Chronograph 24 but I’ve not seen a RUclips video covering them for a while.
The Grand Seiko SLGH013 gets my vote as a massively unappreciated watch. The compact, relatively thin ( 11.7 ) case houses the same 9SA5 movement as in the award winning White Birch, in GS proprietary Ever-Brilliant steel. It sports an intricate, nuanced, and wonderfully textured iridescent dial, revealing the icy snowscape of Mt. Iwate in spring, as it’s grey tones segue to a near violet hue as it reacts to different lighting conditions. Presented in a 44 GS case, it’s a sublime bridge between GS’s past and their future. Don’t sleep on this one!
I'd certainly area with 2 on the list: The Glashutte SeaQ. At 38mm, it pulls in the vintage feel, but to have one in your hands, it feels so special. Solid, compact, great lume, accurate, tool-less micro-adjust, and on and on. Gorgeous watch. The other is Zenith. A forgotten brand, that makes some amazing pieces. The company is outstanding and appreciates theri customers in ways you will never see in a Rolex. I also love their 38mm chronomasters. Essentially a near re-issue.
If you like the ranger you will love the Christopher Ward Sandhurst and yes it is COSC certified. 😊. Used you can find them in around $1000. Now that is a bargain 😊
My favorite strap that I use for several watches but it finds most it's time on my Hamilton Khaki Field is the Omega Leather NATO. If you don't like leather, it'll change your opinion. If you don't like NATO, it'll change your opinion. Once it wears in, it's an absolutely unmatched watch strap.
I love my speedmaster professional moon watch manual winding it feels more natural to wind the watch to keep it running i have had many automatic but this feels just right
Hi Chisholm , thx for your interesting and funny video ! I will never own any of the watches you present here . Bui I enjoy looking at them. I get along quite well with my Seiko, Victorinox and Certina ... Cheers !
World Timer is amazing but don’t think it’s under rated. The most under rated Omega is the Planet Ocean, the aesthetics, the movement, the bracelet, all of it phenomenal, and a proper Sub rival.
I love Hamilton. However, I can’t justify spending that money on a scuba as a “dive” watch when the kamasu gets 200m water resistance for half the price and keeps just as good time. When are you gonna break down and get the Tissot PRX ice blue dude??
ISO dive standards are 100M. You can dive with it. Are you a deep diver to where you are at 300 feet down ? If so, surely you would use a dive computer anyway.
The blue oméga worldtimer is a True worldtimer because it shows summer and wintzr time because of the color of cities. There is one color for cities after. I hope they will put a bezel with north south east west on the Ranger to put it à real watch for explorers. Glashütte is very underratted and union Glashütte too whereas the quality for the price is so good. Chronomaster sport is not a Daytona from Zénith. If it is, then every watch with 7753 is a Daytona and there are a lot. Hamilton is indeed underratted with less quality than union Glashütte.
Chanel j12.1 ceramic Kenissi movement, thats essentially the same as Tudor 5400 just better finished. 200 meter WR dive watch. And bought a 1995 Vacheron Constantin Phidias two tone gold in pristine condition, for less then an Omega ck859. Thats ridiculous.
Love the SeaQ design language , finishing and movement but for the love of god I hope they get rid of the cartoonishly large and odd looking Arabic numerals on the dial and use simple stick hour markers. It would look so fucking good!
I'm wearing my Orient Mako I today - I've modded it with a new coin-edge bezel and "Yachtmaster"-style insert. Wearing it on the same NATO as you're wearing Harrison; we're twinning.
Omega Seamaster -> Grade 2 instead of grade 5 and Frederique Constant worldtimer is way nicer Rolex Cellini -> Proportions are so wrong Tudor Ranger -> Way to much dial (proportions are not good, weird hour hand,..) IWC Spitfire -> Just a Big Crown without the big crown.. (bronze is also not for everyone) - Buy Hamilton instead, almost the same Glashutte -> Numbers on the dial are to big Zenith -> Copy of the Daytona and would be better without the date Hamilton Scuba -> Nice watch but need also a steel bracelet and normal colours Omega -> Just a boring Omega and wears larger than 39 and it"s a numbered editions without numbers and the olympic one is typical Omega, change the colour and were done There you got the reasons they are "underrated" or just not good/nice enough to buy or speak about them
0:33 Agreeed on the Omega World Timer. It is a beautiful watch. I tried it on recently in an Omega Boutique. It's definately on my want list for a future purchase.
Would be great to see more Glashutte brands like Nomos & Muhle. Amazing quality luxury watches, that are very underrated.

That can be said about every watch company
if you think that way ranger is also overpriced, you can buy similar and way better watches half the price of ranger ...

Am a real fan of leather straps I replaced all my watches bracelet with a strap. Makes the watch lighter and once worn in soo comfortable
Totally agree with you. I replaced my airking with leather strap and it feels a lot lighter and same with SMP 300
The blue leather strap on my Jazzmaster Gent is stunning. But as for my 2017 SMPc, I enjoy wearing it on the metal bracelet. And the Carrera is just perfect on a perforated rubber strap.

Today on my wrist: the OSP 300m white dial,as always 😉 the Zenith looks so beautyful ❤
Leather straps wear in better after time. Glasshutte is better than Rolex in my opinion

So what happened to your planned Tag Heuer Skipper video ? Also, I suggest looking into the Norqain Night Sight, specifically on it’s OEM flex strap.
Hes working on it
Working on it 💪

2024 Tag Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300-black dial
Wearing my tiny 1968 Seiko 66-7070 today. Wish I liked the Tudor Ranger more than I do! If only it had applied numbers. Great vid…as always
I agree it would be a stellar watch with applied markers. All its missing.
I'm wearing my new Omega seamaster planet ocean. Loving it.
Love leather straps, comfortable, warm and look killer with the right watch. Wouldnt have a dress watch on anything else and my Speedmaster loves amazing on leather too.
The leather on the bronze is banging actually.
Great video as always
I have a Ranger and I love it. Mostly because of the tool watch simplicity and the COSC certified movement. It's definitely a watch you either get or you don't.
My Spitfire in stainless steel is so versatile. I have it on the Mark 18 bracelet and it’s amazing and I do think IWC makes nearly a perfect bracelet.
All of these watches are not porpular for a reason. For example, any watch that has a date funciton but dont have a quick date setting is kinda useless. This is the only reason i didnt buy a speedmaster 57 and worldtime.
Agreed. Would you believe the royal oak doesn’t have a quick set date. What a joke!
Wearing the gshock 9400
The world timer is just a GMT with an overly fussy chapter ring.
Where was the rotor on the Cellini 'Automatic' movement? It looked manual wind to me.
Props to Rolex for the curved end (but not fitted to case) strap.
Weird you do not mention the important stuff lol.
Wearing my Breitling SuperOcean Heritage 2 steel/gold with blue dial. What an awesome video, thanks Harrison! LOVE the CK859!
The Tudor Ranger and the IWC Spitfire are the best watches from this video. I do prefer the IWC mark 20 however.
Wearing my Rado DiaStar original with the blue dial. Good video, wow that Tudor Ranger is really starting to grow on me. I like it! :)
If you want a similar watch as the Omega ck859 , get a LONGINES Heritage Classic 38.5mm. L2.828.4.73.0
My RLT20 is on the wrist, I love the Glashutte btw

Chef’s kiss.
Yeah French kiss is something completely different 🤣🤣🤣
Isn't the Glasshutte SeaQ based upon an old Le Forban Securite Mer design? The Brestoise is very similar and based on a design from 1969.

Rolex Explorer 40. Maybe I should have saved 4 grand and bought the Ranger!?!? 😂
The Rolex Explorer 40 is the perfect watch imho. The ranger is too simple. I think a second iteration of the ranger will be much better
At least you'd know you wouldn't get caught with that amplitude issue
How can Hamilton put out a "dive" watch with only 100m and still sleep at night?
You do understand that ISO dive standards is 100M right?

Tudor black bay 58 blue.
