I would have gone cut up the tree service wood also, that is actually how I got all my firewood at my old house. As far as the Hackberry goes for selling, If it's string, but still decent looking splits, you may find folks like some of it in the mix. My wife, for example, she likes to use them, says it's built in fire starter. Take care and I'll be see'n ya soon!
Yeah as long as the tree service wood is close, I have no problem going to cut it up. Less waste and I can leave anything I don’t want! We actually did just mix the Hackberry in with our bulk facecord rows. It will dry and be just fine. Thanks Bobby👊🏻🥃
Yeah that’s true, it would start easier! Hackberry here isn’t the most desirable but it holds a good fire. This was extra stringy! Thanks for watching and commenting Chris👊🏻
Good deal on picking up another tree service . When ya make there job easier they usually return the favor with free wood . That hack berry looked like nasty stuff to work with .
Yeah I believe the easier I make it for this tree guy since he works by himself the more he will call ME! Glad I’m done with the Hackberry! Thanks for watching Phil👊🏻
That pile of Hackberry looked like a bomb went off in it. If you want I can go get the Montgomery Ward from my cousins and let you use it for awhile. When you done Old faithful will seem lighting fast! 😆 Take care fellas! 👍🏻
Always feels good to get some chores completed. You had me going & I was really getting jealous over the 16” precut tree service wood 🤣🤣. But even with you going to get it, it’s still a great deal for you in my opinion. Enjoyed the video buddy!!
Yes it does. I have to get a little something done everyday or it really eats at me! I agree on the tree service pickup. It’s actually great to have it cut the right length and when it’s loaded, it’s ready to split! I appreciate ya watching Jacob👊🏻
Doesn't matter to me who does the work as long as it is free wood! Glad you were able to get the wall of rounds finally split and on to the next job. Nice that Evan was able to also get some bundles done!
True. It’s still easier than dealing with brush!! Evan has stocked up on bundles and I’ve got every round in the woodyard split! This splitting session over the last week has made a commercial splitter sound even better😂 I’m used to splitting a half hour here and there. When you put some time into splitting all at once is where you realize the time saving of commercial vs boxer. See ya soon Obie👊🏻
Bet that sucked coming back to the old box store splitter after splitting with the Eastonmade Ultra. I figure you have one on order and will roll it out in a future video. ;)
Well splitting wood is always relaxing and fun no matter what splitter. It’s definitely more fun with that Ultra😂No I don’t have one on order. Maybe next year? Thanks for watching Everett👊🏻
You have to try Jeremiah s wolf ridge too before you go all import on us lol. Both seem like they are great though. No bad purchases when choosing either.
That’s the plan. I’m gonna get my hands on it in a couple weeks! I would also like to try the super split kinetic. Those three splitters fit my needs. Thanks for watching Stan👊🏻
Another great video. I know hackberry makes some really good camfire wood. I have 4 of them trees in my yard the limbs do not smash they are like trying to stack and smash springs. Then the little leaves clog up my wood stacks. They are probally my least favorite tree. I have to clean up when i cut on the farmers that allow me to cut wood.
I don't think I've ever had any hackberry wood. Looks like it splits a lot like a cord of beech and a couple cords of sycamore I've split in the last month. Real pain in the rear! I want sell any of that. I'll use that for personal use. Most people around here want oak anyways. I separate all my wood by species now since i have the space to do so. All most all the wood i get is from tree service, random lengths, anywhere from 3 feet to 12 feet. I hual most of it from their job sites when im available. If not they will bring it to my woodyard. I try to do like you do, a little each day i can. Keep up the good work! 👍😁
Yeah I tried to split sycamore once, Never again😂 I said it but I’ve split a lot of Hackberry and it’s not perfect but this particular tree was bad! Oh well it’s all done and stacked now. We used to separate all or species but space was the issue for us. We still try to keep a couple cords of Oak and Cherry separate. Thanks for watching Robert👊🏻
Dang that’s some stringy stuff, makes ya appreciate the nice stuff even more!😂 I’m glad that stack of rounds is done, I’m sure it has been bothering you for some time now! Great job guys👍👊🍻
Yes it was! We are gonna split it right away next time and see if that makes a difference. If not we will just pass on it. Yeah that wall of rounds was starting to irritate me😂 Thanks Jeremiah 👊🏻🍻
Well I haven’t had much trouble with Hackberry or Elm in the past. I guess sharpening could have helped. It’s all split now and I’m glad😂 Thanks for watching Bryan👊🏻
I agree 💯 with your advice and insight, my fellow wood hound friend! If i haven't already asked, I'd love to have you on my Firewood Addicts Podcast Series soon. Let me know if there's any interest. Keep cuttin'!
Hello Travis! I’m flattered you would want to have me as a guest on your podcast! I’m not sure im interesting enough to do an hour long feature or if I have the knowledge on my end techno wise to do it??😂 I have my contact info in my channel description. Shoot me an email and maybe we can work it out. Thanks for watching and commenting!👊🏻
Yesterday I had a deal of my life. There's this guy that I sale wood to. And he wanted 2 loads of firewood. He gave me 2 ms170s, a ms290, a 029, and a 311 Stihls and he gave me 20 bucks to deliver. I've done got 3 of the saws running.
No I have had a lot of trouble in the past getting tree services to work with us. This guy actually came to me and it is working out really well well so far. I appreciate ya watching and commenting 👊🏻
@@toddsoutsideagain you bet! I have enough wood for now and my yard isn't really conducive to a log delivery. But u have a few numbers of service guys I have if and when I need wood. Seems very hit or miss on the tree services
Well I wish it was for a new splitter🤣 I was saving it because Genin was going to come here with the ULTRA but we never could get our schedules together🤷♂️ Thanks for watching Ken👊🏻
Todd sound like a bark box 📦 on the ATC , Where the west coast dogs on front or the back ? Did you see the guy on u tube use his ATC for sawing up firewood 🪵 in the yard ? Bolts to front hub with a 36” bar , young guy it was fastest chainsaw around .
Well ya got a point🤣 I think I strive to make it look as good as it can because eye appeal definitely helps when it comes to sales! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Neither. I was saving some rounds to split with Genin from 765 Guys. He was going to come to my place with the ULTRA. We could just never get our schedules to work out. Thanks for watching Chris👊🏻
Hackle berry slow goin for you for sure, but might be nice for the right customer. Like the one Follower said “built in fire starter” with the stringiness 🤷🏼♂️
Yeah we mixed it in the mixed hardwood bulk firewood. It sure was stubborn to split but never had a complaint on it. I’m just not ready to split a bunch more of it😂 Thanks for watching Mike👊🏻
Well this particular tree we let set for almost three months. I thought that was why it was abnormally stringy? Oh well it’s all done and stacked now. Thanks Jimmie👊🏻
I wouldn’t mind a long video but I’m sure editing ain’t fun, but awesome video like always, every time the notification comes on you post a video 2/3 times I drop what I’m doing to watch it 😂
Well I appreciate that!! I believe this particular video I had 48 minutes of footage😂 I do try to keep the vids close to the 20 minute mark. I just know there is a lot of good content out there to keep up with. I really appreciate the positive feedback. Thanks for watching Ben👊🏻
Well as I said I have had good luck with it in the past. Even got bundle grade Hackberry before. I’m still not sure why this tree gave me so much grief. Thanks for watching Bill👊🏻
You got that right! He did after to bring it but I like it cut the right size and he also helped me load it! Ya can’t beat that. Thanks for watching Jeff👊🏻
Yeah that is an idea. We finished it all up and just have a small amount mixed in with our facecord stacks. Moving forward I’m gonna limit what I take. Thanks for watching Matthew👊🏻
Very good ❤❤❤
Thanks 😄

I thing I like about stringy wood is that it starts easier. But in Texas Hackberry is a trash wood. But I burn it outside
Yeah that’s true, it would start easier! Hackberry here isn’t the most desirable but it holds a good fire. This was extra stringy! Thanks for watching and commenting Chris👊🏻
Old faithful ! 😂. Nice load of tree service Wood. I was a little surprised when you said it came cut that way until you spilled the beans 😂
🤣Well the surprise was what I was going for! I just couldn’t hold out and spilled the beans. Appreciate ya watching Tom👊🏻

Thanks again!

Knew that was a Honda as soon as it fired up without seeing it. I had one for a lot of years. Tough machines.
Yes sir! I’ve had mine for 23 years!! Great machines! Thanks for stopping by Russ👊🏻
Great Video! Nice work getting those rounds split and stacked! Stay Safe, Continue Stacking, Keep Cuttin!🪵🪵🪵🪵
Well thank you! We just came in from cuttin for lunch! Splittin and stacking to follow. Stay tuned…. Appreciate ya watching 👊🏻
Great video!! That tree service wood is Definitely working to your advantage!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Nice load of tree service wood. I'd say no to the hackberry. Way to get after it. Great job.
Well we are definitely not gonna be too eager to get Hackberry from now on! Thanks for watching Jerry👊🏻

I don’t get a ton of hackberry but what I do I just keep for own stove, good splitting Todd and Evan!
Yeah I’m gonna it be as eager to bring home Hackberry. This particular tree tested my patience🤣 Thanks Genin👊🏻
Nice , busy you guys are . That Hackberry is one stringy stuff . Good work fellers 👍.
Yes this particular Hackberry tested my patience😂 Thanks for watching Richy👊🏻🍻
That Hackberry looks difficult . Ive never had any of that . I'm like you , I like the the cherry , oak . Nice splitting . See you soon !👍👊
Yeah you’re lucky!🤣 See ya soon Del👊🏻🇺🇸
The best all around wood I like is ash.
Try sharpening your wedge. I did it on my box store splitter when splitting sycamore an was impressed how much better it made it

I don’t see much cherry in our supply. Cherry and walnut would be nice if we could get it. Walnut is pretty stuff.
My two favorites for sure! Both smell great and dry fast! Thanks for watching Dana👊🏻
Приветствую 🇷🇺. Техника отличная. На мой взгляд рабочее место организовано не совсем правильно. Каждый делает то что умеет. Удачи вам в ваших делах.

@@toddsoutsideagain well maybe the sweet spot if really fresh or sit for a really long time. 🤷
