They are both the best sounding engines in the world to me, but I prefer the 4.6. The ol 5.ho does more of an old school hot rod sound but something about the 4.6 just hits different.
@@swfl_elonas took 10 years for the 4.6 to get back to the torque the 5.0 had back in the 70s. Also the fox body was way lighter, go drive one and you'll feel the difference. That car was dangerous! Way more torque per pound!
4.6s I typically think sound better, but between THAT 5.0 and THAT 4.6 my vote is the 5.0. I personally think off-road x-pipes on a two-valve sound too blatty and raspy. That 5.0 sounds deep, clear, and throaty

A buddy of mine picked up a 98 cobra from someone he knows for 1,000 if I remember right. It needed a transmission and wasn’t perfect but he’s got it running now and it’s clean.
My 04 GT 4.6 2V has super 40s, a Pypes OR X with cats welded into it. It sounds like a damn Hyabusa drag bike at high revs. I always have to rev it under the railroad bridge before I hit the freeway.

Yes it is. It’s a ‘95 Triple black Mustang too. It was fully restored in 2018 and is immaculate. I like the way 2vs sounds more than 5.0s too but the 5.0s still sound better than most v8s imo.

Gotta love the 4.6, it actually screams in higher rpms as that is where most of the power will come from.

On 2vs I prefer the H to the X. The H gives the 2vs the extra bass they need imo.

The Flowmaster is hurting the 4.6 most of all, they need a straight through muffler and they sound wicked
