When Yu said to Makoto that they will meet again, I can't help but feel so very sad since Makoto won't see them again after P3 events are over and done with....
It's even sadder because Yu is the only one of the two that says that they'll see each other again. All Makoto has to say is "Take care." on the P4 ending.
Makoto could never say "See you soon" because I think a part of him just knew...he wouldn't.

+Kyle Mcmillen They probably use the dark hour to preserve his body. Remember the thing they introduce in Persona 4 Arena that can replicate the effects of dark hour? yeah that thing. the game didn't really explore its importance though but i do believe its related to how they can save p3mc.
You can see at the end how Margaret's been intently looking at Elizabeth when they enter the doors... it seems, she really misses her sister.
Not to mention that she knows Elizabeth's guest only has like less than a year until he dies...
@@CrimsonSunMouse sadly it's not even death for Jesus, his/her body basically dies, but his/her soul isn't resting, it's in a state of limbo, not dieing or living, constantly serving as the seal :'( Hence why his/her fate is so sad,, he/she is neither with his/her friends or with his/her parents

Rei's story reminds me of the sun arcana social link in p3. Its sad how their life ended briefly like that but I guess thats how life goes.
Ok, but imagine that when the guys are reunited in Arena Ultimax, as the story goes they start to remember all of this. They end up remebering everything and everyone, Rei, Zen, Makoto and Shinji. They can't help but realize that this last two are missing, then they go and ask the P3 guys "Where are Makoto and Shinji? What has happened since we met?" And the P3 guys can't help but smile sadly and some of them even star to cry. What do you think would have been the P4 guys reaction to hearing the truth?
+Rinkash It is impossible for either side to remember the events of Persona Q, because the fake Yasogami High was an alternate plane of existence completely separate from the real world's concept of space and time. Since Chronos and Philei are no longer there to hold the plane intact, it would theoretically no longer exist, thus taking the gang's memories with it. Those memories no longer exist.
But just to humor you, I'm pretty sure the Investigation Team would have seen this coming, especially people like Naoto. SEES' battle was on a far grander scale than anything the IT has ever faced, so suffering only two casualties would be a great blessing.
+Anson Ip Well, yeah, I know all of that and it is indeed impossible. They made that pretty clear, it was just a "What if..." or an "Imagine that..." thing.
Yeah, probably Naoto, Yu, Yukiko, Margaret and Marie would have not been that surprised, maybe even Rise would not be. Still, I don't know about the others. I feel like Chie, Yosuke, Teddie and Kanji sometimes don't like..."notice" the amount of danger that it's involved. Like you said, the guys from P3 had it harder and it was kind of more dangerous, and there's a point in P4 that Yosuke lost the track of things and then is like "Wait, it is real and not a game, there's a murderer". They are the most likely to end up shocked at first, after that...well, everyone would be super sad. In the end we will never know, at least not for sure. Anyway, thank you for bringing that up. (Sorry about my english xD)

In the end where the MC spoke. "Hey,I'm home." Gawd. And anyway,this ending is really sad. Rei made me cry a lot.....She died,and all those mazes were the tracks of her life. And also,that butterfly in the end....I suddenly thought of....Philemon....Or maybe it's just me.
Man... never has a game affected me so much... it's made me realize just how much of a good life I really have. and this game is beautiful too... Atlus team really went above and beyond with this game. bravo Atlus. Bravo.

So I was eating during the Ace Detective part... my poor monitor. After that was pretty mushy.
Also I feel the dinner at the end happened in FeMC's story, something to do with Shinji's Social Link but I could be mistaken as I hadn't finished playing through it.

Cierrakahana Considering some youtube comments I've seen just for P3P videos on how they find her better for being more interactive ingame and through playing most of her story myself (stupid joystick doesn't work properly) I can see why. Though I suppose it's because of The Answer there's little hope for a continuity change, heck I would settle for them being twins honestly.

I thought Aegis couldn't lose her memories, that's why she was the only party member that remembered everything in Persona 3...besides yourself that is.
I think this has to do with the collective unconscious. Like, the events of the game don't follow the normal flow of time, which is always forward, it was explained thoroughly in the game though XD
+IdTapThatWater Aigis remembers the events of Persona 3 because it took place within a comprehensible flow of time . Since Persona Q's event technically never took place at all, Aigis' datalogs hold no records. There's a difference between not remembering something and having your memories become null.

The only problem with the game was that Margaret never brought up the MC's death. Would've loved to see the reactions on that.

Well, Elizabeth tell her fairytale about him, but she never mentioned his name or is that really happened.
I think there are a few times near the beginning of the game where Marget considers telling Elizabeth about his death, but probably decided against it due to it going against her role as a resident of the Velvet Room. They're forbidden with interfering with fate.
Yeah I remember her going against it and I understand why (also it wouldn't of matter in the end), but it's just something I would've liked to have seen.
She did bring it up, though. At the beginning of the game.

So I'm replaying the whole series to get ready for Persona 5 and I'm currently replaying Persona 3 (best game btw), I am definitely playing this last to end the Persona 3 and 4 era, it's a perfect send off to both.

It is if the context for the tree falling involves everyone reminiscing about the tree falling.
I really doubt it. Cannons are metallic, not made of wood.
Besides, one mortal needs to witness a cannon...seeing as those are manmade weapons. Therefor, it would be impossible for a tree, as an individual, to become a Cannon. It needs surgery in order to do so. Only divine intervention would let the tree become a cannon WHILE no one witnesses it. Or it's a Transformer and humans will die.

Do you guys really think they won't see each other again? This is Atlus, I'm sure they will briefly mention Persona Q story like in Ultimax and Arena for Persona 3 story and they somehow remembered they've met each other in Q.
Pretty sure the P3MC will be back and see the P3 and P4 crew. It doesn't have to be in Persona 5 it can be a direct sequel to 3 or 4 like Persona 2 innocent sin and eternal punishment. And if you played P4 true ending, Igor will show you and your teammates the "paradise" they've visited. Maybe that's how Elizabeth, P4MC or P5MC will help break out the P3MC and they can finally kill off the "beast" completely.
Well tbh I really wanna see Rei & Zen reincarnated I really like them even its a cameo but I really wanna see them again. Its just a feeling that Zen will be a persona and Rei will be controlling Zen or Chronos as her own persona in P5.

+draph91 As they said in the ending, they do not remember the reason to the party. However, Makoto seems to give a knowing smile to the camera. Potentially, he has somehow been able to hold his memories.

+draph91 I think the reason came up in Inaba Pride Exhibit.
For since almost beginning of the game Yukari was pretty envious of the easy friendships between the Investigation Team members. She was sad that SEES was somewhat cliqued and that the seniors especially kept their distance from the rest of the group. She tried to gather enough confidence to confront others about this and slowly through conversations and "Strolls" had vented it out to some others like Rise and P3MC and finally brought it up with Mitsuru/Aki/Shinji at Inaba Pride Exhibit.
They had some pretty good conversation about it there and SEES collectively decided to start rectifying the situation by holding a party when they got back to their own time.
In short, they decided to have a party as a kind of a get-together to build team unity that was lacking before.
