My heart fucking broke when Makoto agreed with Yu on the "We'll meet again, I'm sure" statement, mainly because in the canon storyline that leads through Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Yu and the Persona 4 Group never meet Makoto, because at that points he's acting as the Great Seal that holds Nyx back.
All I have to say is this: fuck you Erebus!!! At least Liz is trying to keep it at bay while trying to figure out how to get Makoto back without breaking the great seal.

I love how Minato doesn't say "We'll meet again" It's almost as if subconsciously he knows he's not gonna make it. That little detail is so sad.

headcannon: Shinjiro remembered everything about this event and wanted Ken to continue to live, because he didn't want him to be sad,, and wanted to take care of him like Zen took care of Rei
So Yu gets to wake up in his warm familial home while Makoto comes to in the creepy supernatural elevator that no one but him can enter (at the time)

Actually, for Makoto, he was listening to the story being told by Elizabeth.
It is because in P3, the events of Persona Q occured during a storm, where door-kun slept for 3 days and in the game, he is in the velvet room and Igor informed him that he can fuse more than 3 personas.
I really like how the after credits for the P4 side is "just another day" while the P3 side is a lot more cheerful considering the over-all tone of P3 plus P3 MC's fate in the end.
omg those triple dots behind the 'take care' that Minato said to Yu. It's like- omg- idk it's like there's something sad there. Like, Minato has so many things going on for him- too many things for him to even put into words- and since Minato knows meeting Yu again is not a possibility, he decided to end and seal it all with a kind 'take care'. No 'we'll see each other again' but a kind wish for Yu.

Minato doesn't make promises he can't keep (as seen at the end of p3). The other make promises to him, wishing he'll be there too.
Well, during the thyphoon so he doesn't knew of the seal and all that things...
And he's not the promises man kind either so...
I felt like, when they say were saying goodbye to eachother, they were actually saying goodbye to us, the player. Thanking us for all the good times we had in all of the games, getting ready for P5...See you soon guys. :)

If it's not for Minato/Makoto, Narukami wouldn't be alive to dance all night.
Also if not for Narukami everyone in the world would be just Shadows making that sacrifice pointless, also Tatsuya letting go was pretty much the reason P3/P4 even exist. Damn, all Persona games stories are so sad and cheerful.
Also don't forget, if Naoki hadn't used his head to determine the truth back in Persona 1, everyone would he living in a dream dimension.

at 12:20, the sound effect that plays when they do those poses reminds me of trauma team, i think it's the exact same one for when you heal someone in the first response missions. it makes me think atlus never forgot about trauma center, they just left it behind.

I've recently played through the Persona 4 Side and i was kind of surprised that they didn't show us a scene which implies that Magaret still remembers the Events like Elizabeth did. I know the P4 Side started different and so, ends different, but still.
Instead it implies that Yu dreamed of it. Whatever. Maybe they both remember what's happened. Makoto remembered Yu's name as well on the Persona 3 side.
And i'm sorry i spelled something wrong or if something was incomprehensible. English is not my native language.
I can't wait for Persona Q 2 to come out this year!

It is rather sad that given the circumstances of this game, it HAS to end with a "and everyone forgot what happened so it didn't mean jack shit" ending. Kind of puts a massive dampener on all the characterization between the P3 and P4 cast that happened.
I suppose if you want to be optimistic with it though, perhaps their meeting here was why they ended up fated to meet up together properly by the events of the P4 arena games and bonded quite easily as a result. But then, we don't really hear anything about the casts from both games having casual meetups afterwards, which is kinda sad.
It's implied that despite them forgetting the actual events that happened, they were still affected at least somewhat by everything that occurred.

I bet the reason why they are summoned there is mainly because philemon got stuck on the spider web. It really shows how weak he is now compare to before.
no, Chronos summoned the persona teams there to force Zen and Rei free from that world (dident work out too well for him obviously). Besides, I'm pretty sure the butterflies are just signs of his will or presence, not his actual self.
The butterfly is a symbol of the cycle life and death. It being trapped in the spiderweb represents the cycle being halted or stuck in because Rei wouldn't move into the afterlife after she died, so when she did, the cycle was able to continue and it broke free of the web.

If they make a persona q3 they should let you play as the new character meeting the persona 3,4, and 5 where you create your character.
I like the fact that people are saying they will never meet again, this isn’t cannon and since a sequel is happening I wouldn’t see why Atlus would take advantage of having P3 P4 and P5 all together, even with Minato, and Shinji. It would make everybody happy and maybe the P3 and P4 cast could remember each other, lol then P5 would be like WTF

As much as I like this game, this ending angers me and in a way ruins the entire game (if not the series). 3.5 of 5.

It makes the series (at least their world) pointless. According to the mythology of this series, the reason why Susanoo came, the reason why there was increased encounters with shadows, the reasons WHY the shadows all of the sudden wanted to meet humans, the reason of a "T.V." world and the "misadventures" of Marie is all their fault; likewise the appearance of the tower in PS3, the death of Shinki and the main character of PS3.
They killed the entity, who's main purpose of existence were to keep the Quilphoth and the Sephiroth separated. Its reason for creation was to keep Shadows out and balance our world. Without a Malkuth the shadows eventually started to mess with the world, which lead to the events of the PS3 in-game and PS4. They f'ed themselves and possibly everyone in the future.
Without Chronos there to complete the natural cycle, this possibly leads to the events of Digital Devil Saga [DDS] (instead of Digital Devil Saga being a different world as implied in DDS 3). The story of DDS is depressing. And PS3 & 4 cast are the cause.
The reason for dicking humanity--a agent of Chronos didn't want to do his job 'cause someone decided to ask questions, so I guess it's time to screw the world. She was gonna go back to "creation" regardless if it happen there or later (as shown after the credits). The ENTIRE BATTLE WAS POINTLESS. The only thing that happen is an agent erased himself 'cause he didn't know how to do his damn job. The ONLY ones that benefit are the demons--oh I'm sorry, the "Velvet Room Residents".
I don't know, if they tried to write a Christian meaning or theme at the end, but regardless if it's done maliciously or ignorantly; it is stupid--by definition STUPID. It is foolish to eradicate the ONLY being keeping back the enemy you are fighting.
If you like it, nothing against you. I never said it was a bad game or bad story. It's just when you look at its entirety, it's disappointing.
