In Invincible Allen and Oliver get into it with Mark and he is backed into a corner before Thragg comes out of nowhere to save him
Thragg reminds them that they monitor all orbital activity and are aware of Allen’s plan, asking them to give him one reason not to destroy them both right now
Allen is clearly tense at the sight of Thragg but planned for this, pulling out a perfected strain of the scourge virus claiming he can end Thragg right now
Thragg cannot believe the disrespect of Allen, to threaten him with the same virus that turned his home planet into a tomb and says he can easily obliterate Allen before the virus takes effect
Mark steps in to mediate, saying Allen’s plan will no longer work since the Viltrumites are aware of his presence
Thragg then offers the same truce he offered Mark and Nolan, that the Viltrumites will live on Earth peacefully and the coalition will leave them alone or they will slaughter everyone
Oliver is still itching for a fight but Allen stops him, knowing they have no choice but to accept
But suddenly they are joined in space by members of the expanded Guardians of the Globe including Robot and Monster Girl who attempt to detain them, unaware that they are speaking to the strongest being in the entire universe

If mark was a typical Viltrumite pre-earth, Thragg wouldn't have a problem stepping aside.
But Mark wants to change the Viltrumites away from what Thragg was taught that a Viltrumite should be.
In Thraggs eyes, Argall's heirs can't inherit the throne since they are traitors to the Viltrumite empire and thus must be eliminated.
And considering their heritage, they just became at the top of his list.
@@darshanneupane4055I don’t think that’s the case. I think Thragg spent so long on the throne he hyped himself into believing he deserved it more than anyone, even Argall’s descendants. Thus, I don’t believe even if they were discovered pre-Nolan betrayal, that it would have changed much.
All population of earth will become viltrum, and who knows maybe after hundres of years they will start conquering planets again
I commend Thragg for the patience he had at that moment to not kill everyone, especially with Robot's bullshit.
Thragg is still a leader to his people and sees that violence isn't the answer for the sake of saving the Viltrumite race.

Like you're entire race is compatible with the Viltrumites and they've promised to cure your world of all of it's present issues quicker than they would've ever been able to progress if left to their own devices, and within a century like 90% of the human race would now be Viltrumite hybrids which would make the entire race much more productive and efficient. And with the integration of human DNA would introduce generations of hybrids with the harmonization of Viltrumite and Homosapien, giving them the smart atom's of the Viltrumites but the adrenaline, emotions and everything else of humans. Meaning if the Viltrumites were to ever try to "purge" like they did before you'd now have tons of Viltrumite and Human hybrids that once they found out about the purge would instantly stand before the pure blooded Viltrumites and protect earth.

It took Krieg, Thula, Anissa and Lucan to knock Thragg out and put him in chains, and they had to get the drop on him to do that. One on one, it's Battle Beast or nothing.

I don't think the Guardians have ever had good timing since Nolan forced a hard reset at the beginning of the series. Just about every time they show up late to the party or when the party is already over. Granted, I'm mostly going by the show on Prime since I haven't read the comics but still. I think Cecil needs to start sharing the teleportation tech so the Guardians can do their freaking jobs.

I am kinda dissapointed that thragg just later become generic evil, up to this point he still comes off as a ruthless leader that still has some care for his people, the moment hes no longer on the throne, it kinda felt like he lost a lot of character.
Nah Thragg has a lot of character, he was raised from birth to lead Viltrum and subjected to brutal training to be the epitome of a Viltrumite.
He was a dutiful Grand Regent until the Viltrumites betrayed him and the old Viltrum empire.
And after that betrayal, he felt immense rage and sought revenge.
