- Mark Starts Over & Makes Omni Man WORSE... | Invincible REBOOT Explained #invincible #comics #shorts In Invincible’s Reboot Arc we see Omni Man arriving on the scene to help the Guardians against the Thraxans, and as he gets there he realizes that Mark is Invincible, and that he’s been hiding his powers from him this entire time telling Mark they’ll discuss this at home. As Mark is doing the dishes that night, Nolan asks him why he wouldn’t tell him about his powers, and Mark lies saying that he was trying to find the right way to tell his dad, but Nolan isn’t buying it, causing Mark to ask if the two of them could talk up in the sky. Up in the clouds with both of them completely suited up, Nolan continues to worry about his son as Mark asks him if he loves him, telling his father that he REALLY needs to think before he answers whether or not he loves Mark and his mom, because it’s never been more important. Omni man scrunches his face a bit for a second but tells Mark that he does deeply love the both of them, and assures Mark how important the two of them are to him. This gives Mark the confidence to put his hand on his dad’s shoulder and say Okay, then please don’t conquer the planet dad.. And from that moment on, the energy in the sky completely changes, as Omni Man drops the father act and puts on a furious face, realizing that something is wrong here, as a fight between these two is brewing AGAIN.

Once Mark awakened his powers Nolan's plan went to phase 2 in which he would kill the strongest protectors of the earth so the viltrumites could conquer the planet and using it as breeding camp so they could create more viltrumites
In this timeline Mark knowing Nolan/Viltrumites's plan he didn't tell him about his powers so he wouldn't proceed to phase 2 (killing the guardians of the globe)

This is an alternate reality some random being Mark encountered sent him back in time to make the universe a better place and save countless lives but at the sacrifice of everything he built in his own reality. He ended up choosing to go back home knowing many who died would stay dead, when he gets back home through it had been a few years since he had disappeared.

I was wondering if it really was a matter of how long he had his powers. Or a matter of knowing how to use them. He honestly might be able to actually put up a fight due to him knowing what he’s doing now or being able to stop holding back
@turntsnaco5946 Viltrumites grow stronger in about every aspect as they age and train. They get physically stronger, faster, and more durable, so a fledgling like mark wasn't strong enough to do much as tickle Nolan in his younger body, regardless of skill. But Mark was skilled in flight, so he was able to outmaneuver Nolan as he was fleeing.
Yeah honestly he should have kept it hidden or just. Taller nolan from the start to keep it hidden then join the guardins fight when nolan attacks them there he would have had more help plus he missed the point were when he got his power was an big bonding time for him and nolan

He knows nolan at this point is more vultramite than having emotion... So mark asking him to not conquer earth seemed foolish..
Basically, he fought with him, led him to the Guardians of the Globe, and let them defeat him. As Nolan Is imprisoned, Mark speedrun his father's humanization, making him more Human in the span of a couple of weeks, and avoiding completely any death.

Now that I think abt it, it actually makes a lot of sense why Mark goes out his way not to tell Omni-man because the day he got superpowers is also roughly the same timeframe when Omni-man murders the Guardians

There are definitely certain storylines that the show will have to avoid in order to retain casual fans. If we're being honest the show is significantly better than the comic. I think everybody acknowledges that. There are certain things that casual fans aren't going to be able to keep up with though.

There are people who have watched this show that were not anime fans. Those casual fans that make up a very large percentage of the invincible audience would be completely thrown off. Did you watch game of thrones? Katlyn Stark dies during the Red wedding and in the books she comes back as lady stoneheart. They bring her back as a reanimated zombie corpse LOL have they done that in the show, they would have lost a significant portion of their audience. You want certain arts animated? Wait until the spinoffs man otherwise they'll never even get a chance to finish the show the way people turn away.
I actually like the reboot timeline where mark actually manages to stop nolan from killing the guardians after getting him to admit that they were his friends

If I were Mark I probably wouldn’t have opened with asking Nolan to NOT conquer the planet. Instead maybe he could’ve have done a little prodding, maybe asking if Nolan knew of timelines or alternate dimensions first - or at least something that could get him to maybe see Mark’s opinion a little more easier than just “Hey - could you NOT conquer the plant?”
Then again Mark will still be getting hit once he asks that question so 🤷🏻♂️
