In Invincible we’ve discussed how Mark has a son named Marky that eventually gets his own superhero costume and becomes the New Invincible, however one day after Mark abandons his son on earth to go and be with the Viltrumite Empire, we see Marky visiting Nolan’s Grave as he tells the grave that he looks up and constantly thinks about his father’s legacy and how he’ll have to be invincible to live up to it, something that weighs on him his entire life until when he reaches around Mark’s age in the TV show, and actually ends up in a fight with his father Mark because he eventually started to hate him for leaving him behind, since he thought that Mark hated him because of how he was made. This made Marky start to hate himself and feel like his existence itself was bad, and without his mother Anissa around anymore things were really hard for him, but as him and mark lay in a crater and talk things out in the Grayson home, Marky apologizes to Mark saying that he lost control and could have killed his own father, how could they possibly come back from that? And after all of these years, finally in the same situation that his father was in and much wiser, Mark says with time son, something we have an unlimited supply of.

In the comics it’s actually the opposite by the end of the story. Marks Wife Atom Eve can manipulate matter and everytime she gets old she goes back to being young again. Along with marks genetics he and his family outlast everything basically what Omni man was saying but with Mark ending up with a family that never dies out

Mark didn't really abandon Marky though. The man Anissa married, who raised Marky up until that point, asked Mark to let him raise Marky on earth. Yeah he didn't check up on him as much as he said he would but he was the leader of an empire, he had stuff to do.
I think that’s the point, Mark wasn’t there for Marky as much because he was constantly busy, and that caused Marky to think his father hated him because of little he seemingly cared about his son.

To anyone who thinks Marky can even injure Emperor Invincible, he can't. Not even EoS Allen can even stratch him who is the second strongest at the EoS. Plus Mark will never let his sons live as hard of a life as he has so they will never become as strong as Mark unless they have been in more near death experiences.
The only reason mark and Nolan were as powerful as they were is because of the royal families bloodline. Market has the same bloodline and he has more viltrumite dna than mark. This fight takes place 100 years after mark leaves earth so it’s not implausible

Space Racer, Ragnars, etc. so no I don’t think Mark is the only viltrumite with all that near death experience. Even when they’re holding Nolan captive you see that they beat on him while he recovers to give themselves a sense of respect among each other. No matter how you try to frame it, viltrumites are all about getting stronger through battle

He's not. He loathed and gave Marky the cold shoulder for a majority of his life and didn't particularly enjoy being around him.
He also decided that his daughter, who has been disrespectful and bratty for a majority of her life deserved his care and attention more than Marky who has sadly done a lot of good things and been trying to be a hero so to follow in his father's footsteps.

Markys father becomes one of the strongest Viltrumites (not sure if he does become the strongest) ever lived and Anissa was one if not the fastest Viltrumite ever (I read it somewhere). Marky is going be even stronger then Mark someday having these two as is genetic parents and being Viltrumite royalty.
Probably not since a) he lacks the near death experience that helped mark push trough his limits cause everyone that a threat is dead b) he will probably not get buffed from Eve c) he’s less human than Mark so he probably lacks Adrenaline (since his powers Awakend like 10 years earlier we can assume that his human side is much weaker)
Atom eve gave mark super powers that make him basically a super viltrumite, like captain America, or Goku ss1

@@scarecrow4611 Markys thoughts could have literally been put to rest by Mark visiting every now and then.
Mark didn't intentionally abandon and ignore his son, but after starting a family with Eve and everything he has to do as the leader, sadly he put Marky at the bottom of his priorities even though he should be at the top.
It goes to show that even 100+ years later, Mark still makes mistakes and is a flawed character.
Mark in my head: “I wanted to take you with us, but by the time I was ready to… deal with what happened with your mother, you had been adopted. You had a loving family, a loving father.
