The comments on this video already have people saying stuff like that. These people have no respect for victims fictional or not it’s still a horrible subject and should be treated as such. The amount of young men in these comments calling him “lucky” or wishing to have “traded places” with him shows how parents fucked up in teaching their kids basic human decency. As soon as I was old enough my parents sat me down and told me about the concept of sexual assault and how it should be treated. Actually, her story aligns with reality very well, and is very well written. Not everyone in life gets what they deserve (good or bad). Some people are incredible human beings and live a life of suffering and despair. Some people commit war crimes and live to the ripe old age of 85. The character is a product of her environment. A world where only the strong survive. The new mission of her species made her feel inadequate and in a way weak. Which is a mortal sin for her kind. We can hate what she did, and that's fine. However, all heroes are capable of atrocities, and all villians are capable of redemption. I appauld the writer for being willing to take this risk, and diving into the gray area that is the human psyche.

Sexual assault is no joke, in comics or IRL, people saying “lucky mark” or “nice one mark” have no true idea what sexual assault can be like, I don’t either and don’t know anyone who has/who has told me, but just reading and listening to victims described it, it can destroy your life, and if you have a partner or relationship with someone it can mentally scar you and give you trust issues, this is not a joke nor should be taken as one, I find it disgusting everything she did to mark and even in the end at her death there was no justice for mark and I wish whenever marks dad omniman was strangling her that mark would’ve said something so he could’ve gotten justice for what she did, I wish anyone who has ever gone through this can find peace and overcome the traumatizing incident, honestly just disgusting how many people can just be okay with sexual assault because a “woman did it to a man” and now if they had a male character sexual assaulting a female people would be all over it and be raging and screaming at the comic creators, honestly can just be disgusting how there is no respect for anyone nowadays 😕

For those who are angry and are comparing this to women vs. men, remember that Anissa is a Viltrumite, a race that's all about only the strong surviving.
Nolan explained that Viltrumites are all about continuing their species, and Mark happened to be someone Anissa fancied. She couldn't do that to other Viltrumites because she couldn't force herself on them as she did him, because he's not stronger than her at this point in his life.
What she did was despicable, but that's by our human standards and because we're probably still trying to compare her to a human woman, when that's not what she is. Nolan even explained that Viltrumite women generally do that kind of thing when he found out that Anissa did that to him. He made Mark understand, but explained that Anissa is a Viltrumite and not a human so this isn't a crime in their society.
Her "redemption" arc isn't necessarily that, it's more of showing her better side because she ultimately died to defend Earth.
If Anissa was say, Amber from the show or hell even Eve? That's grounds for all of that anger and backlash because they know what they're doing is wrong. For Anissa, it's another Tuesday. It wouldn't surprise me if Viltrumites go even harder than what she did to him.
Note: I'm not defending Anissa, I'm just saying that the comparison drawn between her and what actually happens IRL can't really be drawn because she lived her entire life doing what she did as if it was normal and fine. And that's hundreds, if not thousands of years. If Anissa did this after settling down? Then yes, 100% that's horrific and should be punished. But when she did what she did, she didn't see it as rape, she saw it as Mark playing hard to get and that he should be honored to be a contributor to the Viltrumite race.

Since she entered the fray, she doesn't even understand the point of saving people, because when she went on patrol with Mark, she didn't even remotely understand the point of it.

Once again, you're forgetting that Anissa isn't from Earth and therefore, doesn't adhere to human society and social constructs.
Nolan literally explained that Viltrumites are monsters that cull the weak from their race. Mates are chosen by right and by who are the strongest. There's no dating, there's no romance or courting. It's literally you're my mate and that's that.
Anissa tried to do it the human way by her own admission, but considering that she's spent probably thousands of years living as a Viltrumite compared to being on Earth for at most a couple of months, she's not gonna understand how horrible what she did is at that moment.
Mark knows because he was raised on Earth and in human society. Anissa grew up as a Viltrumite, survived the culling that destroyed half of their race and lived for thousands of years following the Viltrumite way.
The only reason Nolan probably ended up the way he did is because he actually fell in love, and blending in for that long caused him to care about the planet he was supposed to conquer. Debbie and eventually Mark gave him humanity, because he's not as ruthless as the rest of the Viltrumites.
Anissa doesn't have any of that stuff until later in her arc, so comparing what she did and her situation to real life doesn't make sense because Anissa isn't human, both literally and mentally.

By any definition, that makes it even worse.

If this arc is not adapted to the animation, I shall wash my hands of it entirely.

Tbh I think they did the best they could with Anissa’s fate. They would have to change key parts in the story to implement an execution or imprisonment (if imprisonment would even work). They would then have to recreate Markus and his relationship with his family.

While brutal, it is a fantastical concept of an overpowered female with procreation on the brain, it sheds light on real sexual assault and a super dynamic and undeniably interesting turn of events. As men, we cannot control our bodily functions, many believe the concept that if he wasn’t attracted to her or wanted to be faithful to Eve, he wouldn’t have gotten, for lack of a better term, hard. It’s not difficult to make things happen, and it rarely falls within our sphere of control, so it must have been very traumatic for mark to have so much strength, to be a man of superhuman capacity, and still be literally r**ped and forced in a way that isn’t typical even in a situation where they don’t have superpowers.

Pretty much, people’s body during sexual assault often doesn’t align with what’s going on because of trauma response as well.

When i read the comics, i really wish they wouldve let Nolan snap her neck in half when he felt she did something to Mark.

i like how they made it all complex and real but i also understand that people are really averse to this kind of thing being portrayed in any form.

Omni Man will go brutal carnage mode if anything happens to Mark if she's touches him. He will go doom slayer mode on all of the Viltrum Empire if they try to get to him. Anissa will be most unlikely to be kill by Omni Man's Rage. Brutality is coming.
