- Invincible Season 2, Omni Man, Invincible Viltrumite, Invincible Angstrom, Evil Mark Invincible, Rex Splode Discovers His Family’s Biggest Secret.. #invincible #comics #amazonprime In Invincible as Atom Eve and Rex try their best to escape the area of the Whitehouse with a crazed government agent named Erickson after them, and eventually this leads to Rex charging the Gas main to the entire facility with his unstable atoms which causes it to explode as he kisses Atom Eve for the first time, and denies Erickson who was trying to recruit him to work for the Government. After this because his suit is more or less destroyed, Eve brings him to Art and they create a suit that looks much more like the one we’re used to seeing, but both of them make comments about Eve’s suit and how it could be upgraded, causing her to walk out of the room annoyed as she upgrades her outfit to a more adult look since she’s grown quite a bit since her last costume update. Eventually we see as Rex does some research and finds out where his real family has been living for all of these years after selling him, but when he marches through the snow ready to blow up the entire house, he sees them happily celebrating christmas with their new son and living a happy life, causing him to fall to his knees in the snow as he realized they were better off without him.

Rex wasn't born a douche, he was made one.
He allowed himself to become one. No one is responsible for your actions but you.
No one is born anything other than divine consciousness. You cope and survive however you can within your environment. Rex rejected everything that first rejected him and thus became a, "douch" in order to survive.

Rex was a character I related to a lot, my biological parents beat the every loving snot out of me as an infant and sent me to the hospital. Found their facebooks 6 months ago, they’ve had 4 kids together since me and have seemed to have moved on from their wrongdoings, while I still suffer after 23 years.

This is why I love heroes like Rex. They aren't always great people, they can be real assholes, and they can fuck up but at their core they aren't villains. They feel like real people and not some bland cardboard cutout hero where they're always 100% the best person ever with no real character traits other than being a Boy Scout

Its not excusable but absolutely explainable that he treats others with a lil bit of contempt and expendability eg. His relationship with Eve- dude has been raised and conditioned into this life of "you are replacable and a mere asset to those you love, so this must be how one expresses said love."
Love the way you phrased this, we shouldn't excuse any bad behavior because of any past trauma. You can consider someone to be bad, but also understand why they are they way they are. It doesn't have to be one or the other

The sad part is that they aren’t exactly “better without him”, they were given a ton of money in exchange for Rex, which they used to turn their life around.
Rex wasn’t responsible for their suffering.
With Rex they were starving.
Without Rex they were able to turn their life around.
They were better off without Rex.

The parents just learned how to handle money better after receiving a ton.
Rex would have to have been a delinquent who caused so much damage that his parents had to pay for him to *_actually_* be the legitimate reason for their poverty. He wasn't, he was just a kid.

While you can argue they became ‘better people’ they still did something inhumane and terrible, overall. They didn’t know what he’d be used for or go through, just they were getting paid to sell their son and there’s a lot to be said, but Rex not blowing up the family now is him being the bigger man, though he shouldn’t blame himself for something completely out of his control, or say his parents were better without him. Sometimes we just don’t get to choose our family.
