      MK Black Panther by Priest the complete collection is available on amazon in 3 volumes, Vol 1 has issues 1-17 covering most of what is mentioned in the video its a great read and it's free on kindle if you have Prime (In the Uk at least I'm not sure about other regions)

      It's inevitable. Especially seeing how HUGE Black Panther has become in current popular media. Most likely we'll beseeing the first appreances omnis (Lee/Kirby) and if we're lucky, the Priest and Hudlin omnis sooner rather than later. Most likely when the sequel to the movie comes out

      It's in 3 volume complete collection format and is great. The dialogue, I admit, is a little dated at times (some of the NY slang in the early issues) but the storyline and the tactition that Priest writes BP to be is legendary

    I loved Priest’s run on Black Panther. Definitely a classic.

    I cannot BELIEVE people had problems with the vibranium suit. I HAVE all the Don McGregor BP issues---I bought them when they came out on the newsstands. So I've appreciated what COULD be done with T'Challa for a long time. And I FLIPPED in '99, when I learned that someone had FINALLY taken this character seriously enough to think through what he would really do, sitting on a MOUNTAIN of Vibranium back home. Of course, HE WOULD USE IT. Why had no one thought of this BEFORE? Priest was right to seek inspiration from Stan and Jack's initial concept of the character. How did ANYONE think it was more interesting to keep him a mere costumed superhero (and one of the lesser ones at that)?

    I didn't realize that so much came from that run. I remember pages flying into Marvel and just loving the art and later when published digging the story. Heck, TEX as we called Mark was the one that drew me into the world of making comics when I made the leap from having a regular 9 to 5 day job. (And Jimmy of course.)

    The strange thing is fans who read both Preist and Hudlin's run prefer Preist but oddly enough Hudlin's run sold more. Wasn't until Coats came around they got rid of the Hudlin's ism to BP. I really hope they get another great writer soon.

    • @jaybeeeasy
      @jaybeeeasy 5 лет назад +2

      Jerel Boza truthfully Hudlin’s run build on Prieist run but both their runs are the best.

      @@jaybeeeasy I'm not saying his was bad but we didn't get he's the badass king. I think a mixture of both have their plus and minuses. For instance under Preist 616 BP never smiled once, he also would was weird around other heroes like he always seemed like he might kill them of they even look at him wrong. While with Hudlin's run BP was far more violent, he seemed smarter but yet less regal.
      I think both versions are good for me the Dora Milage looked better under Hudlin.

    • @jaybeeeasy
      @jaybeeeasy 5 лет назад +1

      Jerel Boza for me I like Preist upgrades made him unique and Hudilin’s run made him a big gun in the 616 before Hickman’s New Avengers run btw what do you think of Coates run now

    • @rell127
      @rell127 5 лет назад +1

      @@jaybeeeasy Coats run is iffy to me. Sometimes it's nice other not so much. My problem is it's way too much dialogue over action. Now I love the upgrades he did with T'challa and Shuri but he rarely has them doing anything with them.
      I think Al Edwing should pick up the book next.

    In all honesty, I've read the entirety of Marvel Knight's Black Panther and it's really not that good. In my opinion, the best parts were "The client", The Killpanther issues, and the Kasper Cole volume (Complete collection 4).
