Dear Joe , thanks your clear explanations on the FR-1X . I was surching how to save the transpose ..1 or 2 up or down in the user program ? Is it possible under the user prog.? Maybe another way? Thanks Joe... Musical greetings from Robert ..
Hi Robert, Thanks for watching my video. That is an interesting question and I believe it will be my next video - thank you! I am going to start the short answer with - the manual is confusing on this point. They talk about transposing with octaves and also keys. That being said, you can change the octaves and save them in the User Programs. This will allow you to "jump" up and down the keyboard with the touch of a button. If you are talking about changing the key (which is what I think you are asking), that is not as easy to do. You can change the key to say "A", then you must save the system setting to keep this change. It is kind of being able to have a "C-trumpet" or a "B flat trumpet". There is a way (not a good way) to change the key with the registers, but I don't think the process is very good. This will be easier to show in the video, which I think will be out sometime this week.
Thank Joe for reacting ...I think many accordeonists have the same problem to transpose while they are playing...Almost every song has a transpose..that's why the question....You doing very well you explanations and presentations congrats...I am looking forward to your next .. Musical Greetings from Robert...
Hi Joe my little FR1X seems to have locked up in crazy mode . I have tried a factory reset but this is not working. Joe do you know if there is a deep reset for the FR1X. Kind regards. Rinty
Hi Rinty, Thanks for watching my video and commenting. I am not exactly what you mean by "crazy mode", but I am going to give you two things to try. This first thing is to turn it off, take out the batteries and then use the power supply to see if that takes care of the problem. I had a problem when my first set of batteries got "weak" (not low in power, but weak from age). My FR-1x did "crazy" things - it even play the wrong notes. Everything worked fine when it was on the ac power unit. Once I got new batteries, everything worked again. The second thing I am going to tell you to try is to turn the accordion off, hold the Orchestral Bass, Orchestral Chord and the Free Bass all at the same time while turning the accordion on. This will reset the sensors and may clear up some "crazy" things. I hope one of the two will work for you and fixes the problem.
@@joekarwoski Hi again Joe, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. It is much appreciated. I tried both of these fixes but sadly it did not work. The bass is playing all the wrong notes. I can't seem to fix the problem. Not even putting it back to factory settings has worked.
@@rintysmusic6651 There are two more things you can try since the problem is with the bass side. Try changing the Bass and Chord Mode (bCN). The default setting is 1, which will give you the two rows of base and four for the chords. You may have changed it by accident and this setting is not reset with a factory reset. If it is a problem with the Free Bass Mode, then change that setting (Fbn) to the default of 1. I am hoping one of these will take care of the problem for you. Let me know.
