A Special "Thank You" to Dale Mathis for the sheet music for Ramblin' Rose!
In this video I will be creating 4 User Programs for use with a song (or performance). I will then give you two demos of the 4 User Program.
Note: I was doing In The Mood and had a power outage and thought I would leave it in - just for fun.
I will be covering 3 items in this video:
Creating User Programs: We will create all 4 User Programs in the video, in real time. They are in the time stamp below.
Output Level for recording (I would suggest setting it to -6, the options are Off, -6, -12). The default is Off. I have found that you get distortion with this setting when recording to a computer. It may be better if you need to “drive” more for the equipment.
Bellows Curve: I am using setting 3 so you will see the User Programs without bellow expression.
    00:00 - Intro
    05:48 - Orchestral Bass Selection
    06:05 - Orchestral Chord Selection
    06:42 - User Program U1A Selection
    09:12 - User Program U2A Selection
    12:40 - User Program U3A Selection
    15:00 - User Program U4A Selection
    18:47 - Demo: In The Mood U1A
    19:32 - In The Mood U2A
    19:35 - Power Outage
    19:41 - Continued In The Mood U2A
    19:51 - In The Mood U3A
    20:08 - In The Mood U4A
    21:00 - Ramblin’ Rose U1A
    21:30 - Ramblin’ Rose U2A
    21:58 - Ramblin’ Rose U3A
    22:25 - Ramblin’ Rose U4A

Hi Joe. I thoroughly enjoy your videos, they are so informative. I play a Roland FR4X and I'm very happy with it. The editor is easy to use and I enjoy programming the Accordion and editing my own sounds. I recently bought a Roland FR1X as I need a small Accordion when I play on the festival circuits in the summer. However I'm having trouble saving the edits that I make like Orchestra touch, Program Change TX and Midi TX. Am I right in thinking this small accordion does not save all the edits like the bigger Roland accordions do? I.e the FR4X & FR8X. Kind regards.

Hello and thank you for viewing my videos. I am so glad that you find them informative. I am not sure what you mean when you say "save all the edits like the bigger Roland", so I am going to take a "stab in the dark". You are correct, the 1x is very limited compared to the the 4x or 8x. For example, a lot of the edits are global and you need to save the system setting to keep the edit, and then it will not change again until you go in and change it. The User Programs are very limited, in that they only save about 40 settings. That being said, the 8 User Programs with the 4 User Programs makes this guy a great addition for festivals.

@@joekarwoski Hi Joe - thank you for your prompt reply. It is much appreciated.
Yes, you are right. My problem is exactly that. I am not able to save the system setting to keep the edit. Would you be kind enough to advise me how that is done on the 1X?
These are the problems I need help with:
      1) Adjusting the touch sensitivity on the 1X, and then saving the adjustments.
      2) Program Change TX - When using a midi module the 1X changes the sounds on the module -
I need to be able to stop the 1X doing this, and be able to save the adjustments.
      3) Saving changes I make on the Bellows adjustments.
I use a lot of orchestral sounds such as pianos, guitars, Strings, and bass on the 4X and would like to replicate those on the 1X. I need to be able to make adjustments that makes the touch sensitivity almost non-existent. I make adjustments to the touch sensitivity and turn the accordion off. When I return to the accordion later, I find that my adjustment has not saved.
Because I use a lot of orchestral sounds I use the bellows for expression I need to be able to save the adjustments I make to the bellows.
This is how I use the 4X and I would like to replicate this in the 1X.
I was led to believe rightly or wrongly that on the 1X some of changes cannot be saved.
Thanks again for your help it is much appreciated.
      Kind regards
      Rinty

@@rintysmusic6651 Thanks again for viewing my videos. And thank you for giving me material for another video. I have created a video to answer your question and here is the link to the video: ruclips.net/video/RAcSvKx68RU/видео.html Here is the simple answer: While in the parameters list you will hold the set switch until “urt” comes up. At that point you will select register 2 (Yes) and then press the “enter” button. This will save the system settings.
