- Finally I got a chance to install the HKS DCT oil cooler for the R35. It wasn't an easy install because lack of proper tools and hoist but I still got the install completed.

After watching your video a couple times, I just installed my HKS Trans Cooler today (1/15/23) on my GTR. I referenced your video throughout the install while I was under the car, It Really Helped 👍🏻😀 I have a lift at my house so that helped out a lot. Thanks 👍🏻

Nice video. Unlike many other install videos, it’s actually helpful! So does this trans cooler actually circulate the trans oil to the newly installed radiator? Or does it add extra cooling to the engine coolant that travels to the heat exchanger (similar to the Dodson trans cooler)?
It circulates the transmission oil through the new radiator. The new radiator and lines needed an extra 2 liters roughly of dct oil.

How much have street driving temps dropped overall since installing this cooler?
Normal street driving temps are around 90-95 degrees celsius. Mind you I live in Canada 🇨🇦

Hello Sir, Nice Video by any chance do you have a torque spec for the heat exchanger?
HKS did not give any specific torque specs. Where the bolts are located I don't think you would be able to get a torque wrench in there to torque them down.

Good video. What upgraded cooler does ?
Keeps the transmission Temps cooler. The gr6 transmission is known to over heat on the track.

When will you test this out? You've installed alot of mods but haven't shown the results on the road yet
@@snvs9395 that is a great question. I will have it on the drag strip and track probably in the next month. Unfortunately Where I live there is not a lot of options for both drag strips and tracks. I will definitely share the results with you guys.
