- This is an in depth video on how to install an AMS Performance race intercooler on the Nissan GTR. I watched a few videos from other vloggers and found them to be no help so I made my own how to video. I want to share how I installed it with you.

I'm going to try to install a X intercooler on my GTR. Alot more cutting but we'll see how it goes.
The plastic shroud isn't that hard to cut with a jigsaw. The crash beam is a whole new level. Best of luck with your install!
That’s a super clean install and definitely lots of patient to get it done perfectly. kudos to AMS for supplying the necessary parts. Most of the shops out there gonna ditch the plastic shroud instead of modifying it to fit.
What would be the purpose of keeping that plastic shroud?
The plastic shroud is for directing air towards the intercooler. Without it the air would escape.

@@Hahaha6055 the plastic shroud gives it a very clean oem plus look. AMS did a really good job with this kit.
@@phothrottle it does. I planned on doing the install myself, this was the only part that made me apprehensive; appears to take some experienced hands to make that piece fit back in and seat correctly.

Hay I have gtr 2014 so if I put ams do I need cut ✂️
The intercooler shroud from 2009 -16 is all the same. You will need to cut the shroud if you are installing the race version. If you are installing the street version you do not need to cut.
Should of just binned the shroud
