    Dr. Carr is the TRUTH!!!!!

This is indeed a welcome but long overdue discussion that is good to hear! The panelists appear to be aware of the issues; yet, it is Dr. Carr who's bringing some TRUTH and educated KNOWLEDGE from his own personal experiences that, if embraced, could change the trajectory of our lives as a people going forward!! In so doing, he's showing these folks he KNOWS what time it is!! I'm so very PROUD of you, brother, for ALL you continue to do to make your people hold their collective heads high!! You're truly a GENIUS sent by TMH to be an inspiration to and for our people!!
It's all well and good that there's 'awareness' of the injustices and inequalities we face as a people, but nothing equates to the first-hand experiences of those who have FELT the hand of injustice/inequalities and its effects on the psyche, pocketbook and quality of life of those it affects!!
For all this talk, however, one wonders if there'll be solutions since we continue to hear the 'problems' but yet the conditions that create the problems persist!! Just saying...💕💯

This debate is pure brilliance and shows what can happen when true intellectuals discuss the most pressing issue in America, racism and its structure and how, if at all possible, the country can try to move forward.
The questions asked at the end were insightful and probing, but the answers were seriously eye opening and just leave room for more exploration. Dr Carr's summary of his lived experience as a Black man echoes the thoughts of so many Black people (Jacob Banks being shot this week in the wake of George Floyd et al), and it's just so sad that he thinks he might get killed by racism or the cancer of it by another Black person. Doug Blackmon's assessment of the constitution which states that all men are created equal really only means that all white men are created equal meaning that only white men can aspire to be equal to kings and queens of England and no one else, especially not women and definitely not people of African descent. They do agree that being excellent is the only real way to stand and say I'm a human being and asking white people to acknowledge black people is not necessary.

Unfortunately, Mr. Douglas is not on the same level as Dr. Carr, yet he is taking up a lot of space...being vague.

ShahTe Gardens I don’t agree. He wrote very interesting articles and this book which shoots like an arrow in business circles... He is a journalist rather than a historian.

Awesome discussion.. The reason America is confused about the Confederacy, in part, is b/c lawyers could Not prove secession illegal in the court of law and Jefferson Davis and others were not convicted..

He's in traditional African attire, not a regular shirt. This is a professional event. He's dressed as an African professional.
