- Seeing how this hasn’t been posted to RUclips yet, this is from the second season episode The Ricardo’s Change Apartments. Part of Lucy’s efforts to crowd the apartment is to have a Lionel Santa Fe 2343 or 2353 AA set and aluminum 2500 passenger cars run throughout the living room to annoy Ricky (train appears at 1:02). Thanks for watching!

Lol, Ricky decided to spin Lucy around 😂😂😂
What a beautiful train. Lionel set 2190W - the Super Speedliner, as it was described in their catalog, from 1952. Few of us ever called it that, and usually referred to it as the Super Chief set.
My jaw dropped to the ground the first time i saw this beautiful set!
A gorgeous set that’s for sure! Yet quite expensive too
@@richardstrainsandmore Appears to be Lionel set 2190W - the Super Speedliner set from 1952. A real beauty for sure.
Lucy, Ricky and the Super Chief along with her funny laugh. Perfection.
I forgot about that scene with the Lionel ATSF SUPERCHIEF! That was a funny episode😄😄😄😄👍
Good ole super chief probably one of lionels best trains
chief i before e
suzycreamcheesez well uhh...........you got me there
Isn't Super Chief the poster train of Lionel?
@@kaijufan6246 yes

Love that scene! I love Lionel Trains!!!
,I have a couple of Lionel trains, love them!♥️
1:20 - THAT LAUGH! 🤣🤣🤣
Actually, Lionel never called this train set the Super Chief. It came out in 1952 and was called the Super Speedliner. Set #2190W.
That superchief is one of the Lionel sets I WISH I had. The other is the 263e blue comet set. I hope to find either one at a garage sale.
LOOK OUT FOR THE SUPER CHIEF HAHAHA SUPER CHIEF WOOOWOOO
Imagine if they used her as a Railroad Crossing Signal.
Railroad Crossing signals: Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding
Lucy: LOOK OUT FOR THE SUPER CHIEF!
I remember seeing a photo of this scene from a classic toy trains magazine that talked about Lionel Trains in TV shows during the 1950's. Since then I wanted to see this scene and now I wanna see the entire episode.
If you’re curious the episode is The Ricardos Change Apartments from season 2. The train was only shown in this brief scene along with all the other toys Lucy buys to prank Ricky. There’s another Lionel train (a 1615 set?) shown in a later Christmas episode as a gift to little Ricky. Not sure when that one aired though
She knew how to act a Goofball but when she was on The Tonight Show she reclined back in the chair like she was a Queen.
Never saw this one. Real nice.🏆
Of course they used the Super Chief, one of Lionel's most popular models.
One car on the shelf PROUDLY saying Lionel Trains
Almost no doubt that’s gotta be a Lionel product placement
Yes it most certainly did!
lol santa fe all the way in your house
I bought a Lionel train set . Well two Lionel train sets from a garage sale about 10 years ago . They was bought for two boys in the Christmas of 1957 . I looked them up once and found out one of the sets was vary rare and the other one was not so much rare . I wish I could remember the set number of the rare one was . I have them put up in a crate now and getting hard for me to get them down . The boxes a vary ruff but at least they have boxes .
This episode is so funny.
How did she make the train start and stop at the right time without even being near the controls?! It couldn't be a timer because she wouldn't know when he was going to go on the slide. Maybe Ethel was hiding somewhere and controlling it. But how do you explain the horrible horn? Just sayin
Hahaha!! That’s the beauty of “TV magic,” or in other words a stagehand behind the set with the controls and another guy with a whistle/horn whatever that thing was. I’m more perplexed how Lucy was able to afford that Santa Fe set when brand new it cost nearly $900 in today’s value. That’s quite a lot just for a practical joke against Ricky, plus add in all the other toys too. Maybe they just didn’t expect us to ask these questions...
@@richardstrainsandmore Perhaps products on loan from the manufacturers for promotional purposes.
The Lionel train and indiscreetly shown Lionel boxes have gotta be product placement for the show but realistically large corporations wouldn’t give out that many products to an unknown person for promotional purposes. Lucy must’ve bought all those herself and intended to return them after Ricky’s prank
There's an answer, it's a 1950s sitcom.
Not to mention the Box CLEARLY displayed on the Mantel. Plus that sweet Schwinn Bike
🤣🤣🤣🤣I used to watch Lucy reruns after school in the 70s😃😃
Lucy was the most childish and wacky housewife in the history of the world ❤️
I’m not sure if Joan from “I Married Joan” had her beat or not.
Thanks for the video, I forgot about this episode 👍
Lucy reminds me of Harley Quinn.
How? They look nothing alike
@@richardstrainsandmore Her voice, and personality in this video.
Love this
There was a real fun episode of Ozzie and Harriet and Lionel had a large part in it.
One of Lucy's attempts to get Ricky to move lol
I wish I had one.👍😁👌
Love that Lionel train part and Lucy saying watch out for the...what did she say again?
“Look out for the super chief” I think, which was Santa Fe’s famed passenger liner
RichardsTrainsAndMore Thank you. I just looked it up. By the way, do you know which episode this is from?
It was from the second season episode “The Ricardos Change Apartments”
RichardsTrainsAndMore Thank you so much.
Look out for the Super Chief nah, nah nah! Nah, nah nah!
The whole time Lucy is spinning around, the train is not seen until Ricki lands on the couch
1:05 there you go!
I love trains but I have to say this made laugh as a kid of the 1970s.The one thing about lionel was its tv ads of the 1970s.The ones with the word lionel trains. With the word lionel puffing smoke.I wanted to see trains not some words puffing smoke.
I would have redubbed the Lionel F diesel with a 1 chime air horn, a Nathan K3L horn or an RS5T horn
Using a toy whistle to dub in for a diesel was an awful match but it was probably all the studio had on hand. I think a 1 chime air horn would’ve been perfect
Great scene but not much airtime for a classic Lionel train .
I would like to have Lucy take me on a shopping spree but due to the time period I my or may not have been born at that time .
scene may

Lucy and Desi were probably having to do multiple takes with the spanking scene.
