I literally just mined 3 leviathans next to each other. I didn't need it, but was amazed at seeing them so close like that

I usually see 2-3 of them pretty close together. You also see loads of them falling off the edge of the map as well

I've literally got a world with 2 spawned next to each other, so close you can jump from one to the other, within about 1000m of spawn.
As someone that goes crazy for rare stuff, i appreciate that they showed love to early supporters

Rare my ass i found four of those leviathans in the same session of 4 hours, so i found one every hour, amd i didnt even sail for long, i was sailing yo islands to set up portals and go them, best part i was already in the plains so them shells they just wasted away in my inventory serving as a "mystery" materials for my friends to ask me about and its always the same

Yeah Leviathans, First Time playing and i found 2 next to each other, i was trying to find a place to Made a little base and i found these 2 weird islands, until i found their eyes and my heart stop working, i got talastophobia

Lies! I get at least 10 Levis whenever I play the game, lol. And in most cases 2 or 3 spawn next to each other and very close to the land.

You were able to craft a maypole at some point so I had one in my base with max comfort. It was during hearth and home though.

Leviathons are not that rare. Get out of here. Find them constantly. And often more than one at a time.

Found two maypoles right next to each other. Just exploring the world normally. Built a massive castle on top of it so it's got a pretty wide spread

Ive seen 3 leviathans at the same time in a small area where they all fitted into a screenshot. Ive also seen a surtling spawn in meadows. Got attacked by 2 serpents at the same time. Some real effed up shit can happen. :)

What is it good for? I got one in my server.
It gives you an extra comfort when resting which can increase your rested bonus
It's called a Maypole- it's craftable. It adds +1 comfort. It's made with wood, dandelions, and thistle. It's only available to craft during summer, if it's not summer for you - change your computer calendar to summer.

ive had a few times ive come across 2 or more leviathans within swimming distance to each other. they're not 1%, its sensationalism.

Me and my friend is a newbies of valheim 4days ago, and two of us didn't spoil our selves and it took 30 days ingame before two of us to make and made a bronze set😂then when me my friend sails through the ocean i was pointing at something there's another bigland then our boat just hit into a big rock island, i was set it on foot cause i saw something like ore then when i go near it, it was a barnacle i tried to use pickaxe, the ground suddenly shaking, then the land is sinking, me and my friend suddenly sail back to nearest land cause it got us scared the hell out of us😂 thinking i just stepped on a hydra or kraken or maybe some other big sea monster😂

Anyone wanna tell me about the grim reaper looking dude that I keep seeing off of the coast during the thunderstorms sometimes he’s like a hooded figure and when you walk up to him he vanishes ?
that is Odin. He starts appearing randomly at night after you kill The Elder. Hes just an easter egg really. you can't interact with him at all and he disappears if you get too close
About 30 hours of playing without even leaving the island I found the maypole. Idk if maybe I should make a new base there.

Me and my friend once had found 5 leviathans next to each other. Then we went for a pit stop to fix our pickaxes and found 2 more leviathans in the same place.

Huh, leviathans weren't a chance to spawn when i last played. Every seed had a specific place where they would spawn

Found a world seed that has two maypoles in close proximity to each other both right by the ocean and you can get there without a boat.

Leviathans aren't spawn in they are generated by seed and their location is fixed.

@@silentdeath7847Be very careful, I saw him a few times then he started appearing in my base. He has now started to kill and spawn camp me in my main base unless I am quick and shoot him with multiple arrows. You get some useful and unique items though, if you can send him back to his shadow realm enough times.

Supposedly so says the wiki. But for whatever reason they often spawn in groups
@@SpazzyjonesGaming the leviathans are generated when you generate the word, much like crypts, you don't actually spawn them while moving into a cell, they're already there waiting for you, the cluster leviathan phenom could be explained by the true randomness of the equation, since there's soooooooooo much water the probabilities of leviathans spawning in close proximity it's not as rare as one would think

Pretty sure that’s a part of Thors lore. They even brought it into the latest Marvel Thor movie.
In norse mythology Thor’s chariot is pulled by a pair of goats named Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr.

Leviathans are set spawns by seed. You can look up their locations for your particular seed on the valheim map generator online.
Thor is not locked behind moder. It's just random. Weather is not random tho - it's the same on every server based on world day/time and biome.
You can build the maypole yourself wherever you want - its available during the summer. If it's not summer for you - just change the day to summer on your computer. Voila!

I saw Thor two times in a row while sailing with a friend lol, and leviathans are rare ? I didn't know that- i've found many on my way home with Iron and Silver ore to base 😂

@@santiagocar6674 no problem! yes thats Odin, hes harmless and will disappear when you approach him. Hes not super rare and occasionally shows up at night
just started up again, i have ones of the maypoles. didn't know what it was but i took refuge in the village it was in for a bit. what does it do?

I wish they would tune down the thor appearance. Either keep it 50% but once per storm, or just lower the chance because I see him too often it's kinda annoying
