I've been riding motorcycles for over 7 years and stunt riding street bikes for 5, none of that experience really prepared me for riding dirt for the first time. Budd Creek motocross park is one of the most iconic dirt bike tracks in America and debatably one of the scariest ones to ride for the first time! learned so much in the total of 6 laps I rode and will buy a dirt bike if this video hits 15,000 Likes! #motocross #dirtbike #buddcreek

People underestimate how hard Motocross really is "you just sit down and twist the throttle"
Actually you stand up majority of the time 🤓
i hate it so much when i speak with people about mx and they say that shit i hate it so much i dont talk to them again sry for that shit english
@@alex.1457 Same here, my friend bought a pitike and has never rode off road and he jumped on my practice track with 1 jump only and came off first lap...Also said his arms were killing after 2 laps XD
this one olympic judge or something once said that motocross is not a sport xD hardest sport i have ever done.
@@suomiman100 not a sport but the hardest sport I’ve also done 😂
Whats with the chopping the throttle on and off over and over? This isn't a bike life ride hahaha but yeah those tracks are kinda nuts when you never been on one.
Now I know.
My 10 year old special needs cousin rips harder than this pansy😬
@@dantheman7931 neat
Dan The Man get on the street and say that 🤣
You guys are wild... love the vid tho
The guy how broke his back was Doug Henry and still rips on a dirt bike despite being paralyzed from the waste down
Wasn't here the crash that paralyzed him... He recovered from this crash.... Supermoto crash in Florida broke his back
@@SuperChefShaun ^^ this
@@SuperChefShaun exactly, many people think budds is where he broke it, but it was during supermoto practice in Florida like u were saying
@Pack Money they are the definition of full send
@Pack Money yeah he was nuts lol. Can't forget about McGrath either. Dude dominated ama for years

Good job for the first time out there. That’s a pro track, it is no joke.
Best part
“Holy shit I need to smoke I’m not even stoned” 😂😂😂😂😂 thanks for keeping it raw !!!💯💯
I thought dankwheelie knew how to hit jumps after all the kawi 636 pothole crashes

Man I remember I’m on a 230 😂and I remember going to the track for the first time terrified about worrying about what others think and how I’ll do. If your new to tracks the best thing you can do is take it slow and don’t worry about others. Make sure to stay out of others paths if you can. Everyone is there for the same reason to ride and be safe. All takes time and practice
Hahahaha I love when stunt riders try dirt. It’s quite a shocker huh?! 😂
i went to flordia hoping to see him and he is in my hometown
I live in florida and didnt know he was gonna be riding so close
Attention motocross is addicting 😁 Well done for the first attempt on the motocross track 💯
After tbe first time you want to go again and again 😂
Street rider for over 10 years, recently added dirt bikes to the collection this summer. Trails are one thing, tracks are insane and I feel like I’m starting from scratch. Budds Creek is also the first track I went to.
Very relatable first MX experience, especially coming from a street background.
Gonna need a lawyer for that case
As of today, 11/18/20 i completed my Motorcycle training courses. Thank you for the inspiration. Able to finally ride with my father (hes 72 and rides a bmw r1200 sport touring). Hope to ride with you one day when you come back to Dallas area.
So rad dude, congrats!
Killed it for you’re first time on a track my dude, hope all is good with you though. was a sweet switch up of bike content for sure. Ride safe brother 👊🏻🤙🏻
Im learning how to ride motocross right now , it is scary as hell but the more used to the track u get the easier it is
This is exactly where I started in March now I’m very comfortable on my bike. A couple tips I can give are smooth throttle control and learning the track, also don’t worry about the fast guys they will go around you and most importantly look through the ruts not at th
Gotta focus on looking more forward, and through the corners/ruts. Try not to stare at front fender . You want to lean bike not steer much, can cause front end wash out . Try and sit on the back of the seat when in a deep ruts help keeps the ass end from cross rutting. Try to have no coasting time , either braking or throttle. You want to ride in the “attack” position , get comfortable hugging the tank with your knee caps. Try to not grip the bars as hard as you can to help lessen arm pump. When entering corners jump down onto the front of the seat to compress the front suspension to help lower your center of gravity through cornering! Best of luck and don’t be give up, motocross is freaking awesome
I have two tips. One is not to let it discourage where your at/not being as fast. You’ll pick up speed the more you practice it. Even doing some trail riding will get you more comfortable with the bike. Tip two is to stay in your own lane when riding. Like you notice someone faster than you coming up behind you. Don’t try to get out of their way cause that’ll just make the situation worse. They’ll pass you on their own. Anyways for you first time you did well!
Thank you brother! Seeing this inspires me so much for my street riding! I grew up on dirt bikes but still have the fear when it comes to standing her up on the streets!
they say if you arrive early dank you like it
Dang it
Ayeeee good shit Dank! Stick with it my dude, you killed it! Your last lap is miles better than the first... literally. All that progress in a day. I would love more if this content
Yeaaa welcome to my world be so jealous of how u can wheelie let me see a scrub boi
This was great. It reminded me of my first time on a motocross track and I was only 10 years old so the jumps seemed 10 times bigger than they actually were... but I kept going and fell in love with it. Props man
Nice to see you on a dirtbike! Love the vids keep em up!!
This track is amazing! Should try trails next. Awesome to see you on some dirt. 2 wheels or 4 as long as its got a engine its fun!
How'd I do for my first day on the dirt? 😂
Dank Merch! www.dankwheelie.com
Glad to see someone else like this lol. My first time I was pretty scared 😂. Plus there was a bunch of other riders. But those jumps are huge when you get on the track. Even trail riding is rough at first, but fun once you get used to it. I sold my bike but definitely want to get back into it!
This was an amazing video 😂😂always entertaining when a street rider tries dirt love the vids man
I know we all start somewhere & have our strong suits but it was wild to see someone so skilled on motorcycles struggle so much.
Thanks for sharing this one 👍
Great video dank really goes to show how much you can learn while still not knowing everything🙏🏼 I never got into dirt bikes but they’re dope
Teach you a little trick to help keep your elbows up. Hold the grips like your turning a screwdriver. It will force your elbows up. We ride and race all over Florida 😎
Thought it saw super rad that you showed a raw learning curve. Cool perspective.
I ride a KX85 and a KLX110 your one of my favorite you tubers - I live in Maryland!
Love seeing your learning process!
dirt is where the skill is at. totally different dimension compared to street, keep at it, you wont regret it
Nice safe riding you did a fantastic job here , it’s a total leap of faith your completely living the unknown , learning the Bike learning the track and worrying that you will not ruin the other riders fun also that they will they will not land on your head
it’s all about trust technique and then confidence I’m very new to this sport it’s so dangerous but you have to stay relaxed and spend time on the track
I found it very useful to stay behind the slower guys then gradually get faster
Budds is my local track ! Crazy my favorite stunt rider is riding motocross! Stick with it man
That's so dope Budds was your first joint. I've been to watch High Point, Redbud, Unadilla, Budds Creek and Ironman. Only been riding since 41 yrs old and 43 now. Never hit a real track yet. Shoot. Never even wheelied yet. Lol. Cool seein how comfortable you got. Quick. Can't wait now. Peace n ride on
Awesome riding man for your first time on a dirt track.
Good effort my frend. Currently saving for my first motocross. Can't wait to get stuck into it
Going from street to dirt is definitely polar opposite when it comes to controlling the bike and how it reacts. But you made some really good progress for just going out with a few tips here and there. Especially when your first time ever is on one of the most wide open pro nationals tracks. Catch the dirt scoot bug and get yourself one, within a year you could make some big progress around those type of guys and be holding your own out there! Big ups for giving it the go and just beating out laps 👊✊
That case looked pretty hard hahaha but props to you for already sending it on your first day! Very entertaining!
YEARS OFSTREET, AND YOU HIT THE DIRT, WHERE I COME FROM. YOU IMPROVED,TRY TO THROTTLE INTO THE WHOOPS AND YOU WILL AIR ACROSS A BIT.THE TRACK BUILDER WON"T SEND YOU INTO A TREE,AND KEEP THE GUY IN FRONT OF YOU IN YOUR SIGHTS, SEE HIS LINE, FOLLOW IT, AND IMPROVE, YOU"LL DO GREAT. I LOVE YOU MAN.
The thing people who have never rode dirt don’t understand is that you’re going to go down, a lot...
Or your like me where you never come down but when you do your not gonna see your bike for a few months lmao
First time at the track, went down like 6 times, learn to fall and just get back up and keep going. Loved every bit of it
Yeh I tend to stay up but when I go down I go down in style haha, and then start the rebuild of myself and the bike
You progressed pretty good just in that time. You did pretty good man 🤙. Keep your knees tight, ride on the balls of your feet (it keeps your weight shifted back), keep your head over the bars, your elbows up, and don't be afraid to stick your inside leg out in the turns. You killed it on your first day man good job
You learn fast! Love from London
@4:00 “i needa smoke” lmaoooo same
Haha that’s wicked. Making me miss the dirt. Totally different when those wheels wanna slip in every direction
Ayyyyyy good shit bro u went to one of the gnarliest tracks you could go to for your first time u killed it tho🔥💪💪
Omg that looks like so much fun
Sickkkkkk! Dank!
Glad to see you on the dirt!!! I am excited to watch your progression through the years, hope to see you out riding sometime, idk where you are but Budds Creek is within my reach to ride at once I get to moved to Oklahoma City lol.
CRAZY to see you guys at my local track!!!!!
Bought time ya did this man . You will love that. Maybe try trail riding so fun
My favourite thing about dirtbikes is no matter your skill level its fun.
This my first ever DankWheelie vid I've watched and when he said I've never road in dirt I got a little worried LOL
for first time looking pretty good. i have only riden a 50cc pit bike on dirt once but am about to get into motocross
I’ve always wanted to go to a dirt track it looks super fun
Great footage! Very relatable! I am tryna get good at MX too, it's harder than it looks!
Keeps you in shape
Looks fun af
yall better like this video so he gets a dirtbike !!!!!! there is alot of potential in you! just keep practicing
MORE OF THIS PLEEAASSE. ur my idol
You inspire me to ride bro 💚
Riding dirt takes a minute to get used to but the faster you go the more control you have ...welcome to the club 👍
Bro great video thank you for showing us what really is riding on the track for the first time my friends and i are thinking on going to this track we are from maryland bd want to try the track this summer great video bro thank you.
Footage is so smooth
Awesome man!
Bro yah. My first time getting on a MX track was shortly follow my my first time getting off. Lol. You did good man
Honestly looks like a great track to learn on, great dirt, jumps spread apart, no deep ruts or whoops, no gaps you can’t get away without clearing, most importantly it’s not loaded with riders
Keep going back every weekend man, you picked up fast, don’t even go with any goals or expect to be competitive. Just ride your own level, but going with guys better than you sometimes helps push me, than I like to go with guys I’m better than so I have more confidence and am willing to try more... you did great bro, it’s so much fun. That and if you really wanna have fun try some single track trail riding.
Fire i hope to try a track one day
iam a street rider and just bought a crf450r damn its a whole different world the dirt riding life lol i like to feel the sensation of dying lol 😂 that adrenaline rush its nice
“I need to smoke “ literally me😂
Yo, a bit random but do u maybe know the song that was played at the beginning of the video where he was talking about riding for the first time on a track
Bro, me and you are going through the same thing. I've always dreamt my whole life about racing motocross and now at 32 years old I'm actually able to afford a crappy old CRF250R and I'm gonna give it a shot. Your first day looked just like mine. It's unreal how much hard work we have ahead of us in order to get to that level we want to be!
I personally have always been riding street bikes mostly and trail riding and jumping these large jumps is very daunting to me. I am working on holding onto the bike with my knees and legs and trying not to do unintentional Superman's (totally happened 😲)
Respect brother! I am tired of reading about really young guys have all the fun. I got my first proper not too old dirt bike (that doesn't break down) at 29 and I am documenting my riding on my channel.
I want to get to a good novice pace. I want to show the progress for guys like us from wobbling around to actually riding.
The first day is just conditioning you're mind and body to the bike and the track really.
Peace!
1 year after this comment, are you still racing? Damage report? 😂
@@thecommentor8384 😭
I live right down the street wish I knew you guys were up there I would of came out wit y'all
You’ll be rippin around the track in no time. Already had some wheel chatter going braking. 👍
Also a tip for jumps (I know you weren't trying to jump) is to not let off the throttle till you land and try to keep the throttle steady and dont chop it :)
First time ever riding a dirt bike track my dad just told me think of it as a really rough dirt road and haul ass I learned pretty quick
Might be heading to my first track soon… 2020 yz250F here never been but good amount of trail riding but kina nervous lol
thx for the inspiration
This is lit
You did great for your first time
I was there that race villapotos first amateur race championship and Carmichaels last race i think, it was a mx national
Badass!
Wow! I was thinking about getting into the sport but I can't afford to break limbs. Maybe I'll just do trails and track ride for funm
Crazy as it sounds it’s so much easier the faster you go
New Channel .....Dirty Dank Wheelie !
I wish i knew this, this is my hometown track 🥺
Definetly would love to see dank snag a dirtbike
I live 45 mins from Budds, I'm scared to go lol. Never been on a track and I'd be going alone. Gonna say F it and just go a random weekday.
Yo, I live like 30 minutes away and need some riding buddies. Let’s Go!
Hell yeah workin on the dirt bike life lol let er rip
My buddy was A class rider in his late teens, ended up having a race at budds creek and they ran the track in reverse and he was riding his CR500 like a 250 and hit the triple 4th pinned on the 500 and cleared the corner and everything , about broke everything in his body
I see everyone commenting on Henry’s wreck, ie; dubbed Henry hill, what most people don’t seem to realize is how tricky that hill actually is. The first time I came over it during pro press day, I launched about a quarter of the way down completely unintentionally, didn’t even scrub to keep myself low, was literally taking a sight lap. In the heat of a race he just didn’t slow down, and that hill is easy as fuck to launch yourself down.
Tip for cornering.... if your turning right, push down on your left peg and power through the rut, turning left then push down on the right peg, it'll plant your rear tyre and feel so much more stable
I'm a new dirt bike rider and I was riding on the track the same way you are
Brooo!!! You guys went to my home track!!!
Bruh you livin the dream out there
