So cool. I moved to Southern California (West LA) as a 7-year-old boy in 1958. My mom had an Australian boyfriend who used to take us on drives up PCH on weekends. We would always stop at Malibu pier for lunch. You could see the (balsa) boards leaning against the iconic wall. I asked what they were and was told "Those are surfboards mate". The next year "Gidget" came out. Surfboard were in damand but hard to find. Thanks to Hobie, Velzy and others the boards got into the public's hands. The rest is history.

What about all of the other hardworking folks that have been a loyal employee from the start of the company? Sanders, glassers, finish?? The ones that if they left your board business would be trash.
