My gosh, first plants you've shown- it was like trying to show an elephant. But that big philos... it was like trying to fit in a frame a whale! Their leaves are huge! Now I understand that the name is so true - philodendrons really love and need a support to thrive. Cool hairdo 👍

OOOOHHHHHH That Yam Plant is amazing. I can see why it would be your favorite. Or one of. I FINALLY got a giant leaf or super large leaf big fat stemmed pothos after begging some one to sell me a cutting with no luck for about a year. I walk into the grocery store and always check the gift plant section and there is was!!! And 9.99 for a nice really full 6 inch pot. This grocery store really gets some amazing plants a person would never expect to see in a grocery store. Much better than home Depot or Walmart my two plant shopping options. I forgot how many large and tall trellises I have now but a bunch of them and YES my vining plants really love them. Thanks for sharing your babies. All so gorgeous!
Yes, I am so very impressed with the yam plant. It is so unbelievable and fun to watch it grow! I can’t say enough about growing climbing plants on a trellis. Thank you for watching and it is called the Dioscorea dodecanuera, Dioscorea Discolor & Variegated Yam Plant. You can google information on it and may also find them selling it online. It is a plant that is a little bit difficult to find as they often will sell out. So if you find it, definitely jump on it. P.S. note that this plant will go dormant if the weather gets too cold. So to prevent it from dying back it is best to bring it indoors for the winter. Best of luck and I hope you get one soon...IT IS WONDERFUL!
I love,love the addisonia I just did some cuttings on mine it wasn't that big but can't hardly waite till I can really get it growing good. How long does it take for cuttings to start rooting? I started them in moss with growth hormone.
That’s awesome! I do hope you can get some great results from your cuttings! These are easy to root up and usually take about a week or two to see the new roots coming in. Once they grow in you should notice rapid growth. It is recommended that when the roots get about 2 inches long to pot up. I don’t like my roots to get too long when potting. I find that once they get two inches to pot them up right away. In my experience it is less of a condition shock for the cutting. Again best of wishes and Happy Growing. PS please keep me posted. I would love to know your results.
It really is a phenomenal plant, very distinctive and unique. One of my faves because it really does stand out. It’s hard to imagine that the leaves will get a lot bigger and longer and is why I gave it such a big tomato cage to climb on...I wanna see those huge leaves! I know right...I am still shocked but very thankful. You know this is the first year I am growing all of these aroids outdoors...and yea about overwintering my plants in the bathroom... WHO AM I FOOLING!? I am trying to see if I can make a space for them in the garage...but I will have to get one of those battery operated sprayers that hold about a gallon of fluid. It will make watering so much easier for me. I told my hubby whatever holiday or gift giving event comes up, that will be the first on my wish list. I just am not good at watering my plants indoors and I believe that will help me to be a better indoor plant mama. Keep your fingers crossed for me because I don't know what I am going to do for winter.

No, they need protection from full sun or their leaves will become severely burned. I have a huge tree and taller bushes and plants at the sides of the garden that allows filtered and dappled light throughout the day. There are some areas that will receive a little direct light but only for a short while in the morning.

I would love to send you pics of my aeroids, ferns, calethias, and EVERYTHING else I have because I NEED your advice! My monstera alone are going crazy but they have gotten to the point that I can't stake them because there are so many plants in each pot. Plants are literally medicine to me. I am a nursing student and they are how I decompress. Is there any way we could communicate through email?

I water every day or every other day when it is not raining. It gets very hot here and my plants dry out almost instantly in my garden.
