Awwwww thanks so much for such kind comments. I really appreciate it! Thanks so much for joining me on my plant growing adventures and I am wishing you only success in yours. Happy Growing dear!
I’m so glad you are able to get your wishlist plant. It is beautiful and unique plus with a great price too.👌😍 The philodendron caramel marble is so gorgeous but it is just going to be for my eyes only.😊 I love hearing you speak tagalog and your husband singing is so awesome.👌🌱🌿🌵💐💞😘
I was so happy to get it and that Carmel was a dream...I’m happy to have seen one in person. It was really neat to see....I’ve been polishing up on my Tagalog...I watch Filipino plant channels and get to learn about plants and freshen up on my Tagalog! LOL! ...oh my husband told me not to include any of him singing...I actually snuck that part in at the very end so he wouldn’t see it! Ha ha ha! I love how he sings...but he is kind of shy when it comes to that. I keep telling him that him singing to me was one of the reasons I fell madly in love with him! LOL! But it doesn’t work...he normally only sings in front of me or at church. I think we are going to the Edison and Ford Plant Sale tomorrow. I have never went before and would love to see what they have.
I relly enjoyed watching both your videos . Mostly just for the entertainment value of them. So many fun plants to be had. As many others commented the $$$ were out of reach for me. Just seeing the plants though was great! Thanks for sharing.
Hey I feel the exact same way...even though majority were out of my price range...I really appreciated and enjoyed the experience and the wonderful opportunity to witness and expand my knowledge of plants. I had so much fun and was so deeply inspired, regardless of anything else...
Darn! I would have loved to see a video of you tackling people for plants :) your philodendron warscewiczii is awesome... let us know when we’re heading to Europe for those $20 plants :) Ps thx soooo much for the shoutout!! :)
HA HA HA! ...it would be guaranteed to go viral after the broadcast of my arrest on the news. LOL! It's so hard to imagine...that some of these higher priced plants can still be found for $20! ...it definitely would be the perfect vacation!!! I will let you know! HIGH FIVE!
Hey girl, awesome video. Thanks for the shout out! LOL. Congratulations on your haul. BTW There is a valentines Orchid Festival at Krull and Smith in Apopka 12-14 Feb. Next door to Ecuagenera USA. Go check it out. They have a nice list of aroids for sale.
Hey there Luz and thanks for the info on Krull Smith. I was invited by a friend to attend the Plant Sale they are having on the same weekend at the the Edison & Ford Winter Estate. They are supposed to be having over 40+ vendors. So I am curious to see what they will have. I've seen videos on it in the past and they usually have an awesome assortment of plants including lots of aroids. I do hope I will be able to go to a Krull Smith event in the future...because they have some phenomenal orchids/plants. I love them and plus Jim is an awesome fella we always love to chat it up with him.
I am in Maine and wish we had something like that show nearby I could attend! I think I need to get to Florida to check some of these out in person. AND OMG in the past year I have watched the plant prices jump up like crazy. I really liked the Fantasy too, it had the coolest ears!! Love the Philo W you picked up!! Gorgeous!!
....You are right...I checked around in your area and hardly found anything except for the Flower Show and The Home & Garden Show. I even looked at your Botanical Garden Facility and they don't have any Plant Sale Event listed either on the calendar! SHEEEEESH! Unfortunately since your area is not booming with major plant event...you may have to travel out. I would suggest taking advantage of the opportunity whenever you go out of state or country and familiarize yourself with all of the events and plant places to shop before you go so you can really make your time count. I hope you do get a chance to come to an area like Florida...it is buzzing with all sorts of nurseries and plant events. If you come to the Central FL area make sure you let me know. I will definitely make all attempts to meet with you and perhaps give you some nursery tours...and yes that Fantasy is a Fantasy and I am so pleased to be able to cross the Warscewiczii off of my list! YAAAAAAAAY! I can't wait for him to become large. I will be sure to show him off when he does. Thank you for watching and HAPPY GROWING DEAR!
PSS...it may be up to you to start some of events going...I am sure there are other plant lovers that feel the exact same way as you and all that may need to happen is a bit of organizing and coming together...just a thought. You never know what you can do...UNTIL YOU TRY.
@@PictureMaria1 You are awesome, thank you so much for looking! I have been to the flower show a few times, it is fun but always was more... flower focused haha. Still great fun, AND the Botanical garden is awesome, but never seems to have a lot of events. Good idea on maybe trying to make something happen here,...I have a few friends who would be interested, and could ask a few of my local greenhouses about it too. Maybe more stuff will pop up with the houseplant boom. YES! I have a list of out of state stops for when we can travel again. Adding FL to the list, but I might have to drive so I can bring all my new plants back! hahaha! Thank you so much for your reply, and happy growing!
Not a problem...I was hoping I could find an event that you could go to. I am glad you have some friends that share in the same passion. I don’t know what I’d do without you guys...my hubby is not a plant person...he just tolerates my crazy addiction. 😂🤪😁 Hopefully you can organize something that can be the start of a new plant tradition in your area. That would be so exciting! You may also try to host a plant swap to gain some interest and meet/network with other plant people...or even start a plant club. Such a beautiful plant that you brought home. I really miss going to plant shows (and showing in them) Being from California, most of the big shows are for either C&S or Epiphyllums. Aroids don't do too well in the dry heat so aren't as popular on the west coast. I would love to get back into showing plants and especially an aroid or orchid show now that I live in a more humid area.
Yes, I am very fortunate I live in an area with excellent conditions for them to thrive. Where are you living now? You definitely should take advantage of these type of shows and events to build up your jungle again.
I live in East Tennessee. With our kids out of the house now, we will need to downsize to a smaller house or *shudders* an apartment. I keep telling myself that I will go hog wild plant shopping once we move, unfortunately, with the pandemic, we've not moved yet so I've been put on plant restriction. I am allowed to do plant trades and will sneak in a plant or two every once in a while but nothing huge or expensive. I didn't even have a garden last year except for a cherry tomato and a ghost pepper that I had overwintered. I'm already dreading having to give up my mint and ginger collections. I have probably 25 different cultivars of mint and maybe 7 or 8 different species of ginger and turmeric. Some I had to import because they are not available in the states. To say this last year sucked would be an understatement. I just have to enjoy everyone else's plants and drool a little longer.
25 varieties of mint! WOW! I didn’t even know there were that many! I love gingers! I have about 5 different varieties. Hopefully you all will be able to move soon so you can have some of the plants that you want. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. If you ever want to do some plant trades let me know. I would love to get some of your fingers. 🤗
I will. They are all dormant right now except for my galangel. And at one time I had over 50 mints. There are probably hundreds of cultivars of Spearmint alone. I have 8 or 9 and maybe 5 peppermints. My favorite are the citrus mints, especially lemon and lime, and of course strawberry mint. (Yes, it smells and tastes like berries)
STRAWBERRY MINT!!!! WOW!!! I think that is so neat! I am going to have to look into it and see if I can grow different types of mint!!! See what you just started!!! I feel a new mint addiction/collection coming on!!! LOL! Curious to know what did you use the mint for other than beverages? I have heard some people cook with it and use it as a spice.
What a cool Philo! I'm really jonesing for the gold version too 😍 Yaaaas! So looking forward to our trade! 🙌 I'm feeling the same way this year. I definitely want to be a bit more selective with what I buy and focus on more trades if I can.

I’m a Filipino, I don’t believe that you can find billitiei in the Phil for 10usd, a lot of plants there are even more expensive than here.
Yea...I’ve seen a lot of videos of aroids sold in the Philippines and from the ones I seen they were a bit pricey too .
Still can’t believe the epipremnum pinnatum variegata is 120 I got mine for 280 which is about 35 bucks
Hi, may I know the Id of the plant next to you? Thanks.
