I've been saddle hunting the last 2 1/2 years now and I have an Alpz Outdoors Traverse EPS. It's great because it has an expandable cavity that has 1,300 cubic inches for meat - which I usually use when I quarter and pack my meat out. However now I'm leaning more toward a pack like this to make it easier to attach the platform and sticks. And then if I'm successful, make a trip back to my truck to offload my bow and everything else, then swap to the backpack that I can pack all the meat in. Thank you for taking the time to do such a thorough review!

Absolutely! Thank you for watching! This is one of the pieces of gear that I review that I use on every hunt rather saddle or not. All the pockets make carrying my camera gear a dream!

What I did to improve the pack and prevent everything from falling to the ground.
I was having issues when digging through the pack, in the saddle and it’s hanging from the tree. My loose gear fell out, this happened one too many times. So, I took some PEX tubing and created a frame by inserting it into the liner Lining of the pack. It provides a ridge back. I then re stitches the lining.

Great stuff & glad you’re liking it! It also has a drop down weapon scabbard & the entire exterior back is open at the top so you can slide in a frame or stay for heavier loads. 🤙🏻

Helpful for me. Ring of steps will help get more movement around the tree. If needed . Thanks for the pack review.

@@themichiganmountainman751 yeah it is more expensive but worth it. When loaded down with gear it feels way better than the Cays. Especially if you have to quarter up a deer and pack it out after hiking in a couple of miles. The straps on the Cays pack feel cheap and thin and seem to really dig in after awhile
