I ran the platow in 21 and 22. I love it. I use one stick and strap it to the bottom. Great pack!

The platow pack is awesome. The only issues I have is some of the hardware. The tabs on the zippers didn't last too long and when running 3 sticks on the bottom of the pack the straps had a tendency to come lose. Other than that It's great. It's comfortable, quiet and lightweight. Just big enough to tote everything I need and the fabric holds camo dust really well compared to my other packs.

$899 is a great deal. There is plenty of hunting gear you can buy cheap and be just fine. Saddle Hunting isn’t one of them! Cheap saddles are miserable, cheap sticks are heavy or kick out, cheap platforms do the same. Trying to save money on saddle gear cost me a fortune in the long run 😂
However I’ll say the XOP sticks have done really well for me and they are super affordable
I’m curious about the trophyline sumpter pack for saddle hunting and being able to pack a deer out with the meat sleeve. I have a Tenzing 1250 Fanny style pack I use now that’s very similar to the platow and it’s great but sometimes I wish I could pack a deer out.
