Bart is a big fan of Michael Jackson, but uses Michael Jackson as an example of something made up to scare kids, when trying to make his point about a soul not existing to Milhouse.
Now picture Mindy in a marriage with a somewhat nagging Blue haired Man, a rebellious skateboarding daughter, a bookworm son and a baby that talks all the time.
There's an episode where the whole family each tells a story about their experience with love, and homer mentions that mindy got fired and became a drunk.
I know right? I'm guessing they did it like that because if he had actually fallen down an elevator shaft it might have killed him. Then again he did survive two plunges into Springfield Gorge, three if you count the Family Guy crossover.
Because when a person knows you're married that means they know someone found you attractive enough to put a ring on it. Therefore people will gravitate toward you with that knowledge.
Homer crying thinking he is going to have sex with Mindy was heartbreaking. He knew what he might end up doing was wrong, alot of guys feel guilty doing so when they are already with someone for a long time. But for Homer to just cry when the moment of truth shows Homer loves his family
And that's why I loved Mindy when she told him he didn't have to even after kind of admitting she would have liked to have sex with him too. And that he had a choice. Homer kissing her was probably the closest he has ever gotten to actually cheating to this day and that to me really shows just how much he liked Mindy. I'm sad things got too awkward between them. I think she could have been a good lady friend for him to hang out with, but Marge would probably get jealous (and she evidently can get nasty about it).
Abandon true love and the happiness? Time and time again, it's shown how dysfunctional their family is. Homer should have bit the bullet and filed for a divorce. It's better to suck for a bit and be happy after than to have it suck for the rest of your life. Don't let the idea of marriage be your shackle, folks. If you're unhappy with it and nothing you've tried has worked, it's completely fine to get a divorce.
Nah it’s about moral decay. People think it’s okay to get everything they want without thinking about the other person and act like a victim. That’s why sometimes people have to be the better persons because if we won’t, who will?
They basically showed so much restraint and that they both REALLY love and care for each other and would always rather be together with each other no matter how good the temptation is. Having such a trusty partner really is the BEST thing you can have in life.
1:55 I love everything about that little scene, literally everything, Homer pushing the emergency stop as if it was his floor, the way he has to force the elevator door open and tries to make it seem casual, his willingnes to throw himself of the 5th god damn floor to avoid akwardness and marital problems, the way he screams his eyes out but still has the presence of mind to wish her a good farewell, him sliding down the tubes for some reason, this was just Simpsons perfection right here
@@magicdog9523 Even that, he knows that action won't really harm his kid in any permanent way. You have to think of that from a cartoon (bio)physics perspective ;).
@D Alm seriously dude...he made the choice to stop immediately after a single mistake and focus solely on his wife instead of jumping into an easy one night stand. Or worse, having a full blown affair. If you think Homer's one kiss, especially given what he learned and took away from it under his own reflections with no other influence whatever, are worthy of a permanent dumping, divorce, and family breakup, I can't say much for your relationship choices, and I for one would never want to be with someone as unforgiving and heartless as you. In our lives we all have our “Mindys” who on paper seem perfect, they’re attractive and have the same hobbies, and then our “Marges” who may contrast to us in certain ways, but complement us in the ways that we need to, and have the essential character and integrity for true and meaningful love, beyond superficial attraction and shared interests.
I agree with this, but there's nothing that says that the "Mindys" in people's lives can't love and understand you in ways that "Marges" can. If you watch the episode, the flashback shows that they would have been happy with each other and Marge would have lived a better life. If Homer had met Mindy first, there's nothing that says he would have been unhappy with her.
@Someguy136 I eat 2X more food then the rest of my family and friends and I'm still 128. to most people they think I would've been 60 pounds fatter or more by now. some people can actually stay skinny long as they don't over eat. same goes with junk food. is just some people they actually do need to workout or just keep in eye on how much they eat.

@Loxie what I'm asking is "why are those characters not aging yet?" I mean what's the point on the characters mentally and mature mind but don't let any of them age? at lest in my stories everyone actually age and learning even more things and dark corners of the world. it's very rare when a show actually do let everyone age and have an end somewhere. I never use a money an fans excuse to make a story even longer and never have anyone age the way they should. I don't even care I have a low budget. a story is a story, not just show of my art work on a story I'm trying to tell.

I'll just push the button for the stimulator.
i think if mindy and homer got together that will be good
Now picture Mindy in a marriage with a somewhat nagging Blue haired Man, a rebellious skateboarding daughter, a bookworm son and a baby that talks all the time.
So basically Milhouse's dad
Underrated comment
Kinda like gumball
Opposite simpsons
There's an episode where the whole family each tells a story about their experience with love, and homer mentions that mindy got fired and became a drunk.
Mindy was basically the female version of Homer, just more attractive.
I mean yeah
Well done you watched the episode.
Well fucking done detective Christopher Lewis you fucking moron
Not really, she wouldn't do THIS: 1:54
Just thinner and smarter
Flanders: "thts a dilly of a pickle, let's conference you with Marge. "

I’m laughing so hard right now omg I read that when it played on my screen lmaooo

It’s called a cooling tower
@@leogel1116 always wondered what those were when I saw them. Life's gotten a little brighter.
They have the plant, but we have the _pooweerrr._
I know right? I'm guessing they did it like that because if he had actually fallen down an elevator shaft it might have killed him. Then again he did survive two plunges into Springfield Gorge, three if you count the Family Guy crossover.
Lmao I know right
Why doesn’t this happen to us when we are single and available?
Because life sucks that will only send you women when you already have one
Because when a person knows you're married that means they know someone found you attractive enough to put a ring on it. Therefore people will gravitate toward you with that knowledge.
@Ned Flanders you're 17...just become a gym rat once you start college and you'll be fine
@Ned Flanders don´t worry mate, you are still young. Don´t pressure yourself.
@Ned Flanders you're welcome
I know a girl that is basically the female version of myself. A relationship with her would be a disaster.
So you're both psychopaths? wth? lol
I am an absolute bastard, which means someone who is attracted to me has no standards. I could never be with someone like that.
I think it's better than have nothing in common. My wife left me because of that
Dated someone like me, it gets boring after a while
If she is hot, who cares
Homer crying thinking he is going to have sex with Mindy was heartbreaking. He knew what he might end up doing was wrong, alot of guys feel guilty doing so when they are already with someone for a long time. But for Homer to just cry when the moment of truth shows Homer loves his family
😭😭 that was beautiful 😭😭
And that's why I loved Mindy when she told him he didn't have to even after kind of admitting she would have liked to have sex with him too. And that he had a choice. Homer kissing her was probably the closest he has ever gotten to actually cheating to this day and that to me really shows just how much he liked Mindy. I'm sad things got too awkward between them. I think she could have been a good lady friend for him to hang out with, but Marge would probably get jealous (and she evidently can get nasty about it).
@No you poor guy
@No you
I feel you man. I really do.
He should have gone for it.
Back when the Simpsons had morals and very good lessons.
Now they'd be both sitting on the sofa, with their phones out swiping left or right on tinder.
Now since after season 11 it’s been weekend at bernies
And very good writers...
@@catwithshades7577 Homer's True Love is Marge, they are a happy and supportive marriage despite everything.

Nah it’s about moral decay. People think it’s okay to get everything they want without thinking about the other person and act like a victim. That’s why sometimes people have to be the better persons because if we won’t, who will?

it happens. The challenge is not acting up on them.
They basically showed so much restraint and that they both REALLY love and care for each other and would always rather be together with each other no matter how good the temptation is. Having such a trusty partner really is the BEST thing you can have in life.

1:55 I love everything about that little scene, literally everything, Homer pushing the emergency stop as if it was his floor, the way he has to force the elevator door open and tries to make it seem casual, his willingnes to throw himself of the 5th god damn floor to avoid akwardness and marital problems, the way he screams his eyes out but still has the presence of mind to wish her a good farewell, him sliding down the tubes for some reason, this was just Simpsons perfection right here
Not to mention that there aren't supposed to be elevators inside cooling towers! xD

For all his cluelessness, Homer is the epitome of morality and love where his family is concerned.
Well, aside from the whole regularly strangling his ten year old thing.
@@magicdog9523 Even that, he knows that action won't really harm his kid in any permanent way. You have to think of that from a cartoon (bio)physics perspective ;).
Golden Era Homer: Absolutely
The last 15-20 years: not really.
He got tempted and immediately made the right choice.
@@carmeloanthony6424 bullshit. You and everyone else who hates on the new ones episodes are just haters who act like professional critics, the new episodes are enjoyable and there are still lessons being taught
Lucas Martinez That can also be true too, agreed, there is indeed often more than one “destined partner”
I don't have a Mindy. Or a Marge.
I like chimichangas
Shared interests I feel are pretty important tho lol
For Mindy to be in the shape that she's in and be into all the foods and stuff Homer's into, I'm guessing she works out hard.
@Someguy136 homer walks by the window
Or a super high metabolism. I worked with a guy who would eat two bags of frozen gnocchi's for lunch everyday and was skinny as a rail.
Or just has a killer metabolism
@Someguy136 I eat 2X more food then the rest of my family and friends and I'm still 128. to most people they think I would've been 60 pounds fatter or more by now. some people can actually stay skinny long as they don't over eat. same goes with junk food. is just some people they actually do need to workout or just keep in eye on how much they eat.

Michelle Pfeiffer, ladies and gentlemen. She nailed the role as Mindy. And I agree with the other comments: Homer might be a jerk at times, but he has a good soul and loves his wife and family with all his heart.
I agree. He chokes Bart with...love

That was brilliant. This episode was aired in 1993 and the fall of the Berlin wall was in 1989. That's a historical and ironic reference.
Homer is a good guy. Hes tempted by a sexy new woman who is into him but he stays faithful to his family
@Eye Ball I know the new simpsons has lost all morals. I hope they get new producers and then they can write all the new series of as some dream.
