The side effects for me with Farxiga was cramping due to dehydration. Plus I was taking Lisonipril + HCZT which is a urine flusher along with Farxiga.

I was on Jardiance for 2 years. My CBC changed and my hemoglobin and hematocrit rose. Then diagnosed with polycythemia Vera. 16 months of phlebotomy. Breathlessness, increased heart rate, thought I was dying. Finally got off the jardiance when my oncologist hematologist's boss wrote a letter to the editor of a medical journal and I found it. It's a rare and unusual side effect but drs need to be aware. All I heard from my endo was Jardiance was the gold standard of diabetes care. Not for me.

I have been taking Jardiance for over a year and no side effects, what-so-ever. In fact my kidney function has slightly improved. I do drink lots of water though.
I’ve been on Jardiance for a year. I lost about 10 pounds but more importantly is the constant peeing. It’s like I pee once, wash my hands then need to pee again. It’s always in 2 stages, the second pee is normally more than the first. I pee at least 3 times a night. Drives me nuts.
I just spent seven days in the hospital due to Jardiance. It started with a persistent, repeating yeast infection under my foreskin that went on for over a year. Then 3AM one morning I was woken from sleep, not being able to catch my breath with a pounding heartbeat. I thought I was having an anxiety attack. Eventually I was able to catch my breath and the attack passed, though I still was not feeling well. I had the chills and felt disorientated. I fell asleep in a chair and woke about three hours later. I called my daughter who came to see me and immediately called 911. I was transported to the emergency room with a fever of 103, dropping blood pressure and tachycardia. Bottom line, I was septic with a UTI and pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital ICU. I spent seven days in the hospital on IV antibiotics. My release instructions included the stopping of Jardiance. I will never take that drug again and feel that it should be removed from the market.
I was just prescribed Jardiance yesterday, but decided to do some research before actually taking the medication. When my sugar was tested at the clinic yesterday it was 70! The assistant came out and gave me apple juice to bring the numbers up. After I came home I started thinking about it and realized that if I was taking a medication that made me pee out my sugar and if I was getting low numbers already, that could spell real big trouble for me. Needless to say I will not be taking this medication, instead I will do my best to better control my sugar through exercise, smaller portions and healthier food choices.
I just went through similar, on Farxiga.
My mom is a type 2 diabetic. Last January she was hospitalized because of weight lost admitted weighing 97lbs. which she had been concerned about and trying to get help from physician. Test were run and ER physician diagnosed her with Keto acidosis from the medication Invokana she was prescribed. She nearly died. With all that my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer probably from the Metformin she took before the Invokana. People please try and manage your diabetes with healthy fats and protein.
The best diet to reverse Diabetes is a whole food plant based diet and it is the only diet proven by research. Keto which you describe in your text is a seemingly quick fix making labs look better and weight loss but you are still doing much damage to your liver, pancreas and other organs.
Here's what one website posted re" Jardiance side-effects: • Necrotizing fasciitis. A rare but serious bacterial infection that causes damage to the tissue under the skin in the area between and around your anus and genitals (perineum). This bacterial infection has happened in women and men who take JARDIANCE, and may lead to hospitalization, multiple surgeries, and death.
It may be rare, but I got a yeast infection of my glans penis and foreskin in addition to a constant dry mouth and low-grade headache in my forehead. I didn't call a doctor, I quit taking Jardiance.
Jardiance helps me very well, and no side effects, blood sugar is back to normal, and i lost some weight, Jardiance is Top❤
My dad's been taking Farxiga for a few months but recently he was feeling dizzy and light headed. I took him to the doctor, turned out he had mild dehydration. He wasn't drinking anouhg water while taking this medicine. So they put an IV on him and recommended to drink a lot of water with this medicine. So just be careful if you or your loved ones have any symptoms like that. Don't wait to see your doctor.

This medication made me so sick from day one my doctor told me ah it will pass I was vomiting after ever meal bad bowls every day I felt like I was been poisoned and after all that my blood text came back eveing higer , I stop it an I feel normal again this stuff keeps you sick , it never fix the problems just ongoing visit to get your meds just change you eating best you can and you be thankful you did , type 2 is not as bad as its made out to be
Horrible UTIs on Jardiance, anything else I can take?
I’m taking metformin and my a1c lower from 10.8 to 6.3. My doctor asked me why I’m not taking Farxiga. I just took it a month ago along with Metformin. I have light headache but I’m not aware if this medication causes or not. My blood sugar often goes down under 60 mg/dl. I’m wearing Libre 3 sensor. The alarm of the sensor kept me awake from 1 am to 5 am because my blood sugar goes down below 60 sometimes 54. Is it too much to have these two medications taking together?

You're leaving out some highly crucial information about risk. I not only hear of yeast infections, but repeated ones that do not abate with treatment. A medication given to help protect the kidneys that can ruin them? Or your liver or pancreas? And horrible yeast and fungal infections so exrensive they result in sepsis or necrotizing fasciitis? My Dr. sang the praises of this $500 a month drug today, but after some research, I'm telling her tomorrow that the risks don't outweigh the benefits! I am T2D for 25 years, without heart disease. I take Metformin, Lisinipril and Atorvastatin. I control my glucose levels 6:07 with nutrition and exercise. A1c is 6.1 and determined to drop to 5.0.

I have type 2 diabetes and been on medication for 5 years while taking Forxiga for more than a year now and it helped to lower down my HbA1c from 8.2 to 6.8.. I was taking Glimperide before and it’s causing me hypoglycemia, so my doctor switched it to Forxiga. I don’t get UTI’s often as I make sure to drink a lot of water and stay hydrated. Does taking Farxia mean that it can lead to hypoglycemia? I consume a whole-food diet with little sugar. I am scared that I would my diet will have to include more sugar so that I do not have hypoglycimea. Does this medicine make the pancreas not work anymore on its own because the sugar metabolim is taken over by the medication? In course of time, will the pancreas not work anymore at all?
I was just released from the hospital after having a reoccurring thyroid cancer. While on the operating table I had a complication called Bradycardia. They were able to get my heart rate back up to 60 and I did make it through.
I have also been SUFFERING with UTI and yeast infections. Infections so painful I couldn't bear it. The itching, bleeding, pain has almost gone away after one week of Jardiance.
Jaurdiance is giving me bad chest pain . Told my doctor she says oh there no way jaurdiance is good for your heart so she says just take half a pill but this chest pain comes right back when I start taking it again. A sharp pain in my heart. It goes away every time I stop taking it. Explain that and why Im not being taken seriously. Just because a med is so called good for the heart dont mean some people might not have a bad experience.

My doctor took me off of metformin due to stage 3 CKD. So all I have now to take is 25 mg Jardiance. PLUS, I am taking the one pill per day of your Dihydroberberine with Ceylon Cinnamon. My blood sugars are constantly in the low 200’s and sometimes low 300’s. Should I increase to another Super Berberine per day?

since i taken this 2 weeks my skin broke out with fluids and infections under my arms and inter thighs
I urinate a lot, but the flatulence/farting is almost debilitating
My husband is on Jardiance due to CHF and has a heart pump. He is excessively thirsty and has to drink at least two liters of water a day for the pump to work right. So he urinates a lot as well. If he gets dehydrated he does have the dizzy spells.

I just received a prescription for Farxiga yesterday, which is replacing Januvia. I am also on Metformin. I have been doing calorie-counting, intermittent fasting, and some light walking, but I have only managed to lose 10 lbs in 3 months. I hope this medication will help my weight loss efforts.

I was taking Jardiance and experienced the dizziness and extreme diarrhea. Plus my blood pressure was dropping extremely low. Reported it to my doctor who immediately removed me from the Jardiance...

I'm so surprised that dr's would even perscribe these medications knowing these side effects are possible. My mother couldn't even drink enough water to conteract the dehydration. She ended up passing away from the complications of this medicine (Jardiance). Make sure you dr. is monitoring you closely while starting on a new medication.
i reduced my insulin 2 to 3 units and started farxiga.
increased urination then i started it 5mg on alternate days. its going well now.

Farxiga. I'm LADA. 8 days on drug. Projected vomiting, passed out, 2 days on floor before found. I was in a coma for 3 days. Acid 6.7. Not expected to live. I had a great Intensivist when arrived at hospital. Woke up after showing signs of being able to breath on my own. Dangerous drug. I was drinking about 1 1/2 litres H2O daily before signs. Anyway, 9 months later now and feeling about 95%. Happy ending so far. Not all drugs are for all people that's for sure. If your Type 1 or LADA, be very careful.

As and when possible save for exceptional circumstances, I will stay away from any synthetic medication, I use food and lifestyle changes along with herbal supplements to control my blood sugar. So far so good in my personal experience but we all different, I suppose.

I am taking Dapagaliflozin+ Metformin since a fortnight and my sleep has been hijacked ever since. Nocturia copious amounts and dry mouth and a runny nose as well. I wonder if the body will get used to the new drug and the side effects will disappear after a while???

Love the app. Your videos, you supplements and the app have helped me lower my A1c from 7.3 last fall to a new test result of 6.6. Since I have been on metformin and glipizide for over ten years, I think this is great. I want you as my doctor. You are great! However, as much as I need the app to help me be accountable to myself, over and over, every 7 or 10 days I have trouble with the app. It makes no difference whether I use it on Samsung 9 plus or my iphone 14... For the weekend, again, it will not run.... I waste hours trying to get it going again. No luck. ugh.

Papers that came with my Farxiga say “may or may not cause bladder cancer” 😞

Only things I've noticed being on jardiance ,is the frequent urination,the headaches ,dizziness .feeling crummy at times
I took jardiance for 7 days and my sugar went up to over 350 ! ! My doctor told me to discontinue glipizide and take jardiance! ! After taking jardiance and the increase to 350 my doctor told me to go back to taking glipizide dose ! ! I am seriously confused! !

These drugs are very expensive. Berberibe or glimepiride work hust as well and are affordable.
My Md has me taking both Farxiga and Januvia along with Metformin. What your take on why he would do this?

I will be starting Jardien soon. My doctor told me to use wipes instead of toilet paper and wipe inside and out after peeing to avoid a UTI. I wonder if taking acidophilus capsules would help to avoid yeast infections?
Well I’m on Trulicity and have been taking and haven’t had a Issue but when I wasn’t on Trulicity I got yeast infections. I think because I was peeing too much
i started taking it about five days ago. So far I've been good. I do drink a lot of water though. I've noticed the weight loss is a bit fast.. so i'm trying to include more healthy foods in my diet like i was on already. Im addicted to iceberg lettuce :D lol

It's causing me a major constipation! having to increase fiber intake AND take a laxative for relief. still having problems. This didn't happen before starting the medication almost a year ago. However, my heart efraction rate has greatly improved while on it. I have had a slight improvement in the A1C.

Just started Farxiga for CHF with reduced EF. I feel so much better than i did prior to taking it, but I have to admit I am a bit scared.
In 2021 Farxiga gave me Severe Sepsis, I stayed in the hospital from February 3rd to February 23rd antibiotics 24 hours a day, and had to have home health visits 7 weeks after released home with a pic line to continue antibiotics every day. I had to learn to walk again plus I was wearing diapers.

Thats what it caused me also, along with a dry cracked mouth, I wasn't drinking enough water, back on metformin now, I didn't wanna mess with my kidneys, good luck and good health!

I had back pain and leg pain so bad I could hardly walk, I stopped taking in and feel so much better now.
I was never told about side efeffects until it was to late.
My friend took this and it damaged his kidneys.
My dad started taking empagliflozin so when I went back home I brought this up with my endo and she said let’s try it because I refused taking met Forman even though all my docs got mad at me for not taking it. Fast forward, everything was goin* fine until I started getting yeast infections just to find that it was from the medication. It was terrible! I’ve had a yeast infection once before but this one felt really bad.
It’s because there is sugar in the pee which yeast obviously love. Need to wipe thorough and with wet wipe to dilute the sugar

Farxiga increases ketones therefore blood acidity. It also undermines the pancrease. It is also bad for people with low bone density and causes urinary tract infection which is bad for kidneys and prostate.
I had very bad side effect from these medication
Take for heart failure, but causes tiredness, weakness, shaking like Parkinson’s symptoms.
I take jardiance, no known side effects. Except peeing a lot. The only time I don’t have to pee is when I’m peeing.
Doctors are already aware!
Jardiance almost killed my husband.
My husband was on jardiance but he didn't care for it. He instead took 300mg of benfotiamine and slowly weaned off his insulin and all diabetic meds. His latest A1C was 5.9 in the prediabetic range.
Benfotiamine is amazing.
