What's odd is I noticed on my labwork after leaving my doctor's office my WBC is high and my sodium is low - so now I'm not even sure if I should be on this if it blocks sodium!! I'm so terrified, but I"m a christian too.

LOL, it works because it makes you drink water, that's all, it's ridiculous. Do some research on the effects of drinking more water when it comes to lowering blood sugar, reducing chance of hypoglycemia, kidney function.

Hi Koiku! 👋 Thank you for your informative video on Farxiga's side effects - your insights are invaluable! Grateful for your detailed breakdown, especially highlighting hypoglycemia signs and the importance of having an action plan. Dehydration concerns are well-addressed, emphasizing hydration for users. Your gender-inclusive approach discussing yeast infections in both men and women adds significant value. The warning about urinary tract infections is crucial for awareness.
The mention of ketoacidosis and the suggestion to monitor ketones with test strips is proactive advice. Bringing attention to the rare but serious Fournier's gangrene ensures viewers are well-informed about potential risks.
Keep up the fantastic work in educating and empowering your audience! 💊👨‍⚕ #HealthEducation #Farxiga #MedicalInsights

  • @rebinkhorani

    Some corrections
Hypoglycemia risks are only increased with if its combined with sulfonyl ureas or insulins which are known for causing hypoglycemia
Patients without diabetes have no risks of hypoglycemia according to their latest studies on ckd and hf
Regarding the infections, its advised to keep it dry and clean after peeing
Gangrene was significantly less compared to placebo for farxiga ( unlike canagliflozins )
Sglt2i s are generally very tolerable

Thank for the video extremely helpful and I would think the same thing would be for Jardiance which is in the same class as Farxiga. You explained the side effects of very well which my doctor failed to do. Please keep the videos coming because it helps those who do not get the explanation from those from there doctor.
One thing not explained in your video and I have watch similar videos close to yours, it is proposed that you can drink more water in order to cure urinary tract infections and yeast infections is that true, because it is not in your video at all.

    • @HealthRX
      @HealthRX  3 года назад +4

I’m glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for watching.
To answer your questions, FARXIGA is in the same class as JARDIANCE and share common side effects. I have a video on JARDIANCE on my channel if u are interested.
With respect to the urinary tract and yeast infections, keeping hydrated is definitely a recommended way to prevent such infections.
This class works by causing the excretion of glucose through the urine which creates a conducive environment for the growth of microbes. The more hydrated you are, the less concentrated the urine hence theoretically the smaller the risk of developing these infections.
Unfortunately, drinking water alone may not be enough to effect a cure once one comes down with any of these infections.

Farxiga worked against my health! My vision blurred, I had arthroses pains because this medication dehydrated my arthroses and the dehydration augmented the pressure in my eyes and now I have to prevent glaucoma! It's strange to me that I had all these side effects because I was drinking a lot of water! I made a recherche and found that Farxiga creates major acidity in the body and that is a great problem for arthroses because the body tries to become more alkalic and "steal" from the bones Calcium. And as a result weakens the bones and the muscles..

Not necessarily. While there is potential for these side effects, most people hardly experience anything severe.
Sometimes I’m torn between saying what is possible, for people to be on the look out but risk “scaring” them VS assuring them all is OK and not knowing how to react when something bad occurs.
