No Second Batch

A group of young men eager to join the Papua New Guinea Defence Force through the General Enlisting say they were told to re-apply.
This batch claims they were enlisted as the second batch for the 2019 intake however due to ongoing investigation into the recruitment process, they did not commence training in 2020.
Meanwhile, today marks the resumption of all unit operations for the PNG Defence Force following the PNGDF Commander's Stand-down in December 2020.
Those who passed out last year, have received their postings to the ten different units in the PNGDF.
