MHW Iceborne: How to farm Fatalis Evil Eye! (Easy no stress...noob way)

- Hello folks.
Am sure you all have come across videos on how to farm evil eye using plundeblade. I have decided to give a go...and almost gave up after more than 3 hours or so...finally...i got lucky!
Basically what i did was:
Round 1 -
Use ghillie mantle
Spam all palico plunderblade moves
Return camp (either by dying or farcaster)
Change palico equipment to reset plunderblade
Enter next round
Round 2 -
Use temporal mantle
Spam all palico plunderblade moves
Return camp (either by dying or farcaster)
Change palico equipment to reset plunderblade
Enter next round
Rinse and repeat until 4 rounds.
You can either continue round 5 or choose to Return from Quest.
But since palico maximum can only carry 4 items from plunderblade, there is actually no point doing round 5. Plus if you used up all 5 lives, there is a message saying Rewards reduced....not sure if that affect the quality of plunders...so best to return from quest! ^^
Note: Palico plundeblade level was 15
Update: Once you get a piece of fatalis armor, remember to maxed out the Maintenance Jewel/decorations to get Tool Specialist secret. That way you are able to reset each mantle just in time after you use 3 of the plunderblade moves in each round.

This is legit I got 2 eyes just from plundering runs just do a lot of plundering runs focus on breaking parts.

Which one is it. Plunder or break parts because breaking his head completely is a whole other story

Hey guys, I finally got my 2nd Evil Eye!
Lets see, i got first on Saturday...
Sunday did a couple hours of run (2 set of 2-3 hours) with no luck..
Monday did a 2 hours+ run with no luck..
Tuesday did a 2.5 hours run and got it finally! I did a full 4 player run prior to the last plunderblade run just for info ^^
That 4 player run last till the 2nd time roaming balista can fire...
After died, decided to give one final plunderblade run, it i got it :D
Now, time to try Velkhanized Clutch Claw attack on the Vor Buster HBG ^^ (will post the video soon)

Can u get the wing from fatalis?
@@jackinthebox5261 So far i didn't get any wings from plunderblade. But i do get it sometimes from the cannon fire at the start.
Alternatively if you want to farm the wings consider running a HBG on it. Keep firing pierce 3 ammo on the wings should break it easily. Easier than breaking its horn.

This does work I got one eye a couple of weeks ago but no luck since then grinding can be such a pain sometimes
Glad you got one eye. Yes, it can be pretty tiring & tedious just running plunderblade.
Now i try to kill it...but still find it hard to kill, especially in the Event Quest Fade to Black as only got 3 lives. :(
Even running full hunt, breaking its head is also hard for me...I tried greatsword, insect glaive and even switch axe...
Well, event is still up and running.
Maybe you can try join full run. Equip 3 pieces of its armor (which require no Evil Eye to forge) should give you enough slots to play
this is way better than finding a team that doesn't faint all the time

But recently notice there is not much people playing online compared to those days when Fatalis released.
So getting good team mate can be harder.

Make a tool specialist, marathon runner secret build. Gillie and Temporal. Eat rations to max out stamina. When you run out of palarangs, gillie still active, go back to camp by using the map. Then reset plunderblade, and use temporal. By the time plunderblade and temporal are done, gillie is up. Die or farcaster back. reset plunderblade switch to gillie. Repeat till you get 4 MATERIAL drops from fatalis. Then end not abandon mission.

The two canons on the higher stand aren't really a waste of time.
They deal enough damage to get you a wing break and a knock down with Heavy Artillery!

@hewtwok how many do you have?
On PC with SSD (fast load times), you can just start quest, ghillie, fly in, run under Fatalis, signal palico so it comes next to you, plunderblade & return from quest. Then repeat. Each run takes about a minute. Palarang won't give you evil eye but useful for other mats or the Dragon Treasure worth 1600 points (you'll stack up a nice amount of points). Mount/Blade is for trade in cash materials & can't be done while in ghillie mantle (4 drops at Fatalis is around 34K zenny).
Then there is the other method - you stay in quest until you've done 4 plunderblades. 1 run is the above method, then farcast & change back/forth your palico tools (it refreshes cooldown times). Then you basically repeat the same process 3 times with other mantels which is a bit dangerous. Before 4th try, the ghille mantle might be up to use again but if you're fast enough it mostly isn't the case. This run takes about 5 minutes.
Your biggest problem is the "break Fatalis head" item which the Fatalis gear needs (helmet/gloves). So I recommend you hunt Fatalis with decent gear solo or in duo multiplayer first while palico item is plunderblade as there is a chance you'll get an evil eye or 2 that way automatically (palico uses all the skills automatically by itself in the hunt without you needing to do anything). Once you have enough "break Fatalis head" items (4 piece gear needs 3 in total I believe), then worry about missing evil eyes. Or try to kill Fatalis with some randoms. Might be at least able to break the head. 1 break gives you the hardhorn, 2nd break gives you an evil eye. In short, worth trying.

Another good method I’ve used to get easy evil eyes, using frost craft alatreon GS
And baiting cones
Gets easier the more you do it
Struggled a bit a first failed a few times then started getting consistent
I get a guaranteed evil eye every run now
Ah yes...bait cone.
Unfortunately for me, when using GS, i hardly trigger any cones.
Surprisingly if i use IG, i get to trigger more cones with it.
But not sure why, my IG just cannot break its head even the number of head bash is a lot ^^
Thanks for showing me this dude I can probably make a two peace Fatalis set using this method it’s gonna take some time but it’ll be worth it in the long run. I don’t really have a choice at this point bc every time I face Fatalis the result is just the same me fainting threw out the quest and not even my fully upgraded raging brachy armor can save me sadly so. Lol XD

Just bring a Great Sword set with Partbreaker LVL 3 with some DPS skills, don’t use the cannons and go at him old school. (Unless its the roaming Ballista, Binders or Dragonator)
You’ll be able to get the x2 headbreak before phase 3.

I'm set just got 3 eyes from my first kill got one from carve one in bonus and broke the head already had 2 1 from plunder blade and one from previous head break

I use my main weapon. But breaking the head is easy for that 100% drop. Didnt know that :)

i was having tough time to break the head.
i heard u need to break both its horn to count as head break
@@haliloogaming1647 yes 100% . Fatalis comes crashing down after each headbreak and is on the ground for a long time. But only 1 horn on the head is visibly broken. But its 2 times a "part broken" notification and I only hit his head.
Btw: I use slice ammo to do the job.
@@haliloogaming1647 i am sorry. My first comment was to the wrong video. I watched multiple videos on how to farm the evil eye.
The other video just focused on breaking the head two times and then returning from the quest.
I farm the eyes in a comfortable way from range since I had no luck with killing him normally.
I use lbg slice ammo on his head.
I speed it up by using fortify 2 times.
On my last life I eat for moxie, have my Palico with heal tool. I only switch between glider and fire mantle and just have to come back for camp for ammo refill 3 times. So basically with less than 4x30 slice to the head and a wallbang i get a headbreak. In phase 2 you even can use two binders to get a lot of hits in.
First headbreak is im phase 1 of the fight.
2nd headbreak is in phase 2.
He never even uses the 2nd big flame attack where you have to hide behind the barricade wall.
I used the plunder blade at the first runs but now i have enough of the other materials and only farm eyes ( I have 4 of my 5 weapons, the palico weapon any his armor done but I will farm more eyes to make every weapon )

The mount and plunder only drops selling items right? Not the ones used in crafting. Is it necessary or the first two are fine?
It drops most carved items from Fatalis with the lowest % drop for Evil Eye.
You need the Evil Eye to craft all of its Fatalis weapon and also 2 pieces of its armor (Helmet and torso)

@@ryder4313 here's what you do. Get it to fall over by hitting w both cannons. Then spam sticky lbg. Shouldn't take too much time. And if you've got the roaming ballista go for wings. If you only need wings just break both and return from quest and not abandon quest
How do I make it so I can spam the plunderblade? It doesn’t show up in my radial menus during quests. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Or you can just stand still while it reloads and do something else until each plunder resets... no stress... barely any movement and guaranteed 4 drops from plunder every run since im not gonna waste time getting to round two when i could just restart for 4 more... dont git guud... git smarts...
Oh and the standing still part makes ghilli infinite

Yep...its only 1%.
Some people consider the palico can plunder 4 items so each of the 4 items has a 1% chance.
Well, dont really know how the game measure 1% though

So can plunderblade get evey part? I wanna get the wings so I can actually start building the set but my palico never seems to get any
Most of the parts can be plundered easily except pectus, wings and the rarest evil eye.
Wings not so easy from plunderblade.
I got the wings few times after firing the cannons at the start. Use a Ghillie mantle to setup the 2 cannons to fire at it.
If you are using HBG with pierce 3 ammo - that is even easier to break both its wing. (You can fire SOS or join a team in case solo HBG is hard since Fatalis only focus on you or your palico)

Excellent weapon choice my friend. I like gunlance for its simple way to use it. Switch axe is cool when u using the 'lawnmover' move on the monster.

Found a player who helped me repeatedly kill fatallis got full armour set and glaive upgraded
I have been using hammer to try and get 2nd head break but no use i will have to try this method to get the eyes i am trying to get the full armor set
Are you using frostcraft?
I havent really tried using hammer on fatalis.
I feel hammer is too short range.
I used IG with frostcraft.
I did quite alot of head bash with it yet it does not even break the head 2nd time.
Perhaps you can try maximum deco on Partbreaker?

The spam plunderblade u need to do certain quest to get it.

Once u get the plunderblade u can customize the menu to perform the action.
Make sure you equip it for your palico. Else the command will not appear.

Yes, plunderblade function works on all monsters.
But not sure any rare materials u can get from Alatreon via plunderblade.
@@haliloogaming1647 You can, but the drop rate is low. Azure Dragonsphire, for example, is 1% via Plunderblade.

I did try the farm (solo) Alatreon with plunderplade. For some weird reason, after fighting Fatalis countless of time, I find fighting Alatreon is easy. Only thing that kills me is his supernova 😅

Never got one. And i need 4 of this.......
Be patient my friend. It took me couple of hours non-stop farming before i got my first evil eye.
You can always try joining 4 player co-op - if u get good team may kill fatalis fast.
Did u get any Fatalis armor pieces yet?

My first attempt did continuos for 2.5 hrs - 3 hrs
Second attempt failed for one or 2 days each couple of hours
Third attempt after 2.5 hours
Its a rare drop, only 1% from plunderblade.
Dont give up my friend.

@@haliloogaming1647 longsword the Safi Shatterblade with 3 attack and 1 affinity 1 sharpness its all on V except attack one has VI and handicraft 5 with true razor from fatalis setbonus and divine agitator crit boost and eye all in max level and 1 affinity augment and health augment and 1 defense or elemental depends on the hunt for me i just switch it at smithy and kulve feet all augmented
@@haliloogaming1647 before i use brachydium mail and coil and teostra and white sharpness cuz i put teostra in safi blade masters touch but the only difference is it has ms but no true razor sharp and level 3 divine bless
