1st Head Break in Phase 1 2nd Head Bread in Phase 2 Positioned optimally for both One Shot Binders to be used just after 2nd Head Break All this contributes to my conclusion that this big bastard was effectively dead before the second Gigantic Flame was even cast. Masterful script for the fight!
These speedrun strats are absolutely insane! Unbelievable. I’m gonna have to watch this multiple times to truly appreciate and understand what I just witnessed. I love the use of smoke bombs to keep Fatalis in place. That is the biggest problem I have with this hunt is how difficult it is to hit the head consistently. My biggest enemy is the time limit in this hunt. I’m not running heroics and i’m doing mostly draw attacks so I find it very difficult to break both horns and slay him in time. Your positioning and timing needs to be perfect with the greatsword because you don’t get attack windows very often and you need to make good use of them.
I wouldnt recommend to use this video as a reference to beat fatalis with GS. It strictly for single player and smoke bomb strat, better watch videos before smoke strat became popular or TA run so you can actually get better at the fight in single or multiplayer hunt
@@manikaditha6308 Haha I don’t use these strats. I fight him solo with no palico and only use smoke bombs for the artillery. He carted me a lot at first but i’ve got a lot better at him, his first two phases is pretty simple but final phase is tough. I don’t like using palico as I find it actually makes it harder. I can control where Fatalis is gonna be a lot easier without it. There’s a couple attacks that still give me trouble in his later phases but I mostly have a problem with timing out. Ive been trying to start attacking the chest and not just the head to deal more damage faster.
@@grimreefer213 just cone bait him and you can break his head even in the 1st phase, at the 3rd phase with 2 binders you will definitely break his head again. You can outright skip the 2nd head break if you like, but only attack his chest only when he use his his zig zag breath thingy while hes standing or his 180 breath while hes all four (you can head snipe it too if you like) . Only focus on his chest in the 3rd phase because in that phase, his chest hitzone become juicy (1st and 2nd phase has 45 hitzone while in the 3rd phase its 70, his head is 75 all time).
@@manikaditha6308 I know how to cone bait but doing that takes forever and I can’t slay him by just cone baiting. I usually break both horns in phase 2 or very early in phase 3. I still want to get evil eyes and it lessens the damage as far as I know. But if I can just do one horn break that’s fine too. I can cone bait but I usually time out when doing that because most of the fight is spent running around. There’s a couple other attacks he does that allow you to hit the head but it’s tricky and requires good positioning and timing. When he does his charged fire ball that gives me an opening to attack the chest but not the head, so that’s why I said I should mix in chest shots to keep damage uptime regardless of the bad hitzones in phase one. If I can find a way to break the horns faster and beat him without just cone baiting then that will increase my odds of success. But honestly i’m trying to just farm up a bunch of materials before I complete the special assignment, because the event quest only allows for 3 carts.

Even then i died like 4 times out of 5 and i still able to kill him in 22 minutes. My strat was, palico health, cone bait, no cannons, roaming balista with heavy artillery 2 twice (2nd phase and mid 3d phase), 2 binders in phase 3 and dragonator. Only cone bait him in 1st and 2nd phase, the 3rd phase he have much more window to attacks such as after he using flame breath, you can use smoke and attack him when he unaware, when he uses his charged balls you can land tcs as well. You can also use poison smoke bomb if you want, i didnt use it tho. And it was an average run with average gear. But yeah, farming him is a good idea, its better to craft his armor before actually kill him, its much comfier and safer.

This is really impressive, as a greatsword main I can really appreciate the amount of precision this takes.
