I've seen many people questioning about 5th step, I'll work on a brief explanation soon. I had to mute that song in order to unlock it again, I'm truly sorry because that part of the video was special for me and now it doesn't have music for you to enjoy.

@@pututsoul7681 PC user here, While i haven't given this a serious try so i don't know how strict the timing is, maybe it could be because of the input lag on console compared to pc? You might have to start charging two or three frames sooner to compensate. That's only a guess, though.

@Josh Boalton definitely not for beginners lol understanding the positioning and timing is pain in the ass. I used GS when I was a newbie thinking GS is simple, and I tell you.. Anjanath alone didn't give me a good time 😂 perhaps you enjoy a game with more button smashing nuh oh (Ps I have 2.5k hours in the game now, I basically understood every weapon of the game.)
I think you might be the best greatsword user I've ever seen. I think I watched this video around 2 years ago and it turned me into a GS main. I've definitely improved but damn I'm still a ways off from being as good as this. These videos inspire me to be better even though I haven't been able to Pseudo loop or be consistent at all with dunks. Keep up the good work
I've been waiting for a gs version of 10 levels/steps. You delivered very well. Hats off to you and everyone involved in this vid! Admittedly, I wasn't even aware number 5 existed since I never saw it on any runs. Number 10 was to be expected, lit! Awesome stuff!
Just started using great sword yesterday and step 6 was a savior for me, once I figured that out I was hooked on using it whenever I could, but seeing this vid and how good shoulder check is makes me realize I still have to practice some stuff to draw out the full potential. Damn good video!
I still see a lot of questions about step 5. It's difficult to perform but it's a [frame perfect?] trick where, after the end of the tackle, your character has an animation to bring the GS back to the neutral position. In the middle of this tackle->neutral animation is where you want to input an attack and a direction. Given that it's such tight timing, I'm guessing that it's not an intended mechanic. Glad to answer specific questions if anyone wants to ask
Bruh. Its midnight and I'm on my usual RUclips grind before bed and the moment I heard the song, I did the equivalent of hitting super Saiyan. Mortals is such a good song. Loving the vids btw, made me want to use the underrated lance alot more
i got it now been practicing it....so basically u do any 2nd charged tackle so if u do the overhead slash it would result to a fully charge slash...its a perfect input so it requires practice and patience
its a bug, basically it does nothing. as you know, tackle will save ur charge level(try partially charge -> tackle -> wide slash, and fully charge -> tackle -> wide slash) for a short time, there is a very short time window you can use charge instantly. (ur previous combo ended but charge level has not been removed). It's 100% a bug looks cool but does nothing.

But between Alatreon forcing me to git gud and actually learn a monster, and seeing the insane reads in this video, I'm remembering why I fell in love with the weapon to begin with. What? You don't enjoy the gamble of plowing through supernovas, divebombs, breath attacks and whatnot with a tackle, coming out with little health only to deliver that toppling TSC? But I'll say this, the gear we got before Alatreon made the game a little too easy. Heck, with so much damage at our disposal and so much armor, you can just unga bunga through most monsters without even figuring out the monsters. That's why Alatreon is hard because you can't brute force him by the power of gear alone.
