RIP to 2 absolute maters at their craft ! The world is a crappier place without you Jan & Gary! Pure geniuses ……SNL the old days ( not todays dogs*** SNL, it’s unwatchable) we’re my favorite thing to watch! That cast class of 1988-1993 were sensational and made me write comedy…..I owed it to Phil Hartman & Dana! Then I dipped my big toe in standup after being mesmerized by the legendary Gary Shandling and his epic run on Larry Sanders Show……. These shows made me who iam today……. Thank You! Imagine if I was a teen today? Everything sucks! I would have zero charisma……zero drive…….anyhow! Great upload!
I had to watch a couple times to figure it out. He talks briefly at the beginning about his sexual confusion in grad school and Lovitz says, “Oh, Professor Palmer.” Suggesting that he’s extensively discussed his sexual connections with Professor Palmer. His mother knew about it, as stated in her letter to his fiancé. And so she’s really revealing at the end that she destroyed the birth certificate so he wouldn’t discover he’d been hooking up with his father back in grad school.
“I love my apartment. I'm never going out again.” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
"God! This is the worst character I've ever had to play!"
Wow I can't remember ever seeing a skit that takes place in 2 different places.
what's also funny is how everyone assumes the same seating arrangement.
@@tomitstube ha I didn't notice that.
Dana was definitely my favorite part about this sketch. “Couldn’t she just come here” 🤣🤣
he's my favourite part of most things he's in! "nice place"
Kevin Neelan never gets enough credit for his part in skits..His demeanor and wit is great.
I remembered seeing this live and searched for it. Jan Hooks was so great!
I love this! Rest in Peace Gary and Jan. ❤❤
RIP, Garry and Jan ..
All the cast is great and I loved the twist in the end.
Garth Algar before he grew his hair out.
Hey, that's Garth!
Proto Garth! Carvey actually has said that Garth was based on his brother Brad
DutchComedian this may be the first appearance of the ‘Brad’ character in SNL.
Dana couldn't get out of there fast enough 😃
Gary Shandling!! Awesome.
'' god. This is the worst character i had to play''. That s the best part for me. It immediately cured my nausea
Garry Shandling is so funny. And pairing him with Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz is awesome

Gary is frikin hilarious
I love how they play off Dana’s super tan as a burn 😂😂😂 and shandling!! Wish he hosted more
Clicked on this and was like “hey, no dislikes? That’s incredible!” Then 6:40... best skit ever.
Garry Shandling didn't do much SNL
Actually this was the only time he hosted. What a shame!
I'm Dana Carvey. Thank god for Amazon and Instacart. I'll be in my library if anyone wants to call.
Yes, make a Billionaire a Trillionaire while small business is CRUSHED.

Gary and Jan are resting in peace
Seen this live! I was 7
Talc.
Reminds me of Land Shark.
THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW years later would feature Garry Shandling and Dana Carvey doing an impression of him in that whiny voice, "Oooh my ass!"
Do you have the sketch where he tries to return the sweater and keeps breaking the fourth wall?
I was 4 years old when this aired. God I’m getting old.
Not to be confused with Sincere Stu
This s...is soooo funny.
Pre Garth, Garth
5:53 The audience is at a loss for words.
brilliant. incorporating his long-standing joke that his mother wanted to date him. i wonder who's idea it was to flesh that out?
That's garths brother there.....
Who is professor Palmer and why Ew

"couldnt she just come here?"
I didnt know Dan Harmon worked for SNL
Ron and Fez

He shoulda gone right back to kissing her.
He calls it the worst character he’s ever had to play, but it’s the number one memory in his spank bank. 😂
Is Brad Garth's estranged father?
When SNL wrote comedy, and not playground tropes like the 2020s ...
Snl has always had good and bad sketches. The decade is beside the point.
this is just weird.
Same character as Garth from Wayne's world
When SNL sucked. Farley, Sandler and Spade saved it and Ferrell carried it into the ‘00’s. When he left, it’s gone downhill again.
Okay fine but did you see the ones before this?
for me just looking at Dana's acting makes it whatchable
This era was one of the best. Carvey, Hartman, Hooks. They saved the show from a very dark period.
