Temple was by far the best map if you just wanted to bounce off walls a million times, which I liked even though I did not know how to tech.
Really curious The Adventure of Link does not receive the same amount of praise compared to the other franchise games

@@hermanfranke16821:14 Definitely a harp. I play acoustic guitar myself, and their strings don't sound like this, even if you're picking flamenco style (which is pretty fast), strums sound totally different and arpeggios only sound that clean on electric guitar.

Considering Zelda 2 is seen as the "Black Sheep" of the franchise and Hyrule Temple is such an iconic Smash stage, Temple Theme has more identity as a Smash song than a Zelda song.
Ironically enough, I actually like Zelda 2.

you know what it was? the fact that smash is a 2d platformer, just like zelda 2.
they probably initially had the idea because of the game's adventure mode which is probably the closest thing we'll ever get to an official zelda 2 remake.

Men settle it on Temple.
Temple's great for learning the game and messing around, and is basically the nostalgic GOAT, but trying to have an actual fight there when the other player just runs around for 10 minutes makes it clear why this stage doesn't improve with increased player skill.
I learned how to play this song on piano just by ear, when I was little. I can still play it to this day. It’s one of the only songs I still remember how to play by heart even without playing piano for over 10 years
This isn't _just_ one of the best songs in Smash; it's one of the greatest video game music tracks of all time.
The Smash series has a _lot_ of good music, but there's no question that this is my #1.

It's crazy too! The story behind the composer for the original nes version was pretty fresh at the time, and came up with this absolute banger!

you're god damn right it is. i'm gonna go play Zelda II right now. it's a good ass game that didn't live up to the hype of its original, and then the next game was even better than the original, so it landed in just the right pocket to be forgotten about. but for those of you out there listening - go play Zelda II. it's different and difficult, so you may dislike it. but you might also love it.

It seems like most songs get another cover one or two smash games later, but this and Story 5 Meeting has remained the only covers of their songs, so they must be the best.
Technically this song was paired with the great temple theme from Zelda 2 for smash ultimate.
That first 10 seconds always perfectly sets the mood for the Temple stage imo

Zelda 2 was actually a good game and had this AWESOME soundtrack
This song takes many of us back to those days on that Temple. The days when you didn't even care if you liked the person you were playing against or not you were playing smash and you were there to when and you were just happy to be playing and not fight club of an arena will ring in our heads years down the road
Nostalgia of the GameCube! Maining Young link while fighting against my cousin who was maining link, those good old days. I also think this is one of the best smash stages too and I'm glad to see it come back and every other smash titles (besides smash 64)!
so the original theme took inspiration from the original castlevanias on nes and this one from around the era of the ps1 uses a style reminiscent of symphony of the night. just phenomenal

This is THE perfect backdrop music for an epic battle in my opinion.
They so need to remake Zelda II and use this theme in it, such an underappreciated gem of a game that dared to go a different route from the original. Would love to see it remade top to bottom and even throw in some bonuses.
If they wanted to make it more accessible to current gamers maybe they could make a rule in the remake where the player respawns at the beginning of a palace if they get a game over in it (like Great Palace already does), and if they die in the overworld they could go back to the last town they were in instead of North Castle. Throw in some better hints about the hiding places of various overworld secrets and it would probably be just fine without lowering enemy difficulty or attack patterns. They could always add a Difficulty setting when starting a game, too, so maybe a different difficulty could have reduced enemy damage (or increased for a challenge).
Personally I like the game the way it is, but I can see how it would be harder to get into now than it was back then. Of course, if they remade the game with changes to make it easier but also included a "Classic" game mode that keeps the original rules and difficulty, that would probably be the most crowd-pleasing solution.

Hear me out, but THIS SONG would make the PERFECT trailer music for a Legend of Zelda movie. Imagine a cinematic orchestral version of 1:01 where each time the melody repeats and goes up in pitch, the trailer is edited to show cool scenes like Link blocking a bomb explosion with his shield or something in sync with the music. How cool would that be?? So much trailer potential in this song!
