I remember watching this video a few years ago and being shocked by how good you were as I was terrible at naval battles I just build up a fleet of second rates and auto resolve and I remember seeing your name pop up post battle one time when I fought online I was stumped I wondered how is this guy so good?
Thanks! tbh -> I really feared those naval battles, as I was REALLY bad at them in Shogun 2! But in Empire I just... micro-managed the hell out of my ships and although they can be a pain in the ass, they are so freakin cool looking! Naval battles are the reason why I dig this game so much :-)
Gutsy move with that U-shaped formation. I probably would have pulled a Nelson and cut their line in half, crossing the T with both ends and firing both broadsides at once. But that's just me.
WesternInfantry Well, it's hard to get into, but once you've played several (smaller) battles, you'll get the hang of it! And regarding auto fire: I seriously cannot recall... sry.
Mitchell Sawinski Hi there! Yeah, I guess it's pretty common; what I remember it's not as hard to maintain even several fleets, unlike Shogun 2, where you were hard pressed to even have one :-)

That's a good idea. I think I will do that, I guess for sake of demonstration I should set up the enemy fleet to be composed of the same ships and take pick of 1 of any of the ships he has just to show how its done.

+Yuvaez Sure have. I enjoy it a lot. Especially the ship battles. Shooting a 4th rate with a Heavy 1st rate is really very... therapeutic.

i find the ships so difficult to maneuver and control, how do you do it with so many ships? do you have it on auto fire?

when I go to battle I only rely on bigger n more no. of ships . after watching this I really need to work on my management .

if your fighting AI... you would have only needed 1 ship...having your fleet massed like that is a waste of money.
