- ****Old Fashioned Buttered Noodles is outstanding all by itself, but it also makes for a fantastic base for meatballs, stews, and even casseroles. This easy buttered noodles recipe only uses 3 ingredients. Old Fashioned Buttered Noodles is amazingly delicious, quick and easy. Old Fashioned Buttered Noodles Ingredients:
1 package Wide Egg Noodles
1 stick salted butter ( you may use unsalted)
1/2 teaspoon chicken bullion
1 teaspoon parsley for garnish (optional)
THIS IS HOW WE DO IT:
*Bring a large pot of cold water to a rolling boil.
*Add the chicken bullion
*Add the noodles and cook according to the package directions
*Drain the noodles and put them in a large bowl
*Add the butter and stir until completely melted or incorporated
*Garnish with parsley (optional)

When I was young we ate pasta with butter a lot. My mom and dad divorced when I was only 4. My dad served in the military so he was gone a lot. I think it just put a strain on their relationship. 😔 My mom already had 2 boys before she married my dad so now after their divorce she was a single mother of 3. I watched her struggle to feed us financially all the time. But our mouths didn't know it was "strugglin food" because it was always so good. You bring back child hood memories for me sometimes with a few of your videos and it's always the GOOD memories. 🫂❤️🤗 This dish literally represents my childhood. 🙏 Have a beautiful day Momma Pam. Yes! As delicious as this dish is I think it represents struggle food to many including me. We didn’t realize it then but as we became adults with our own struggles it became crystal clear! Thanks Brandy

This story resonates with me bc it was the same. I did not know we were struggling bc it was always so good! I’m actually making it today with some pork fat to add extra flavor but just bc my mom passed and this is a desire of my heart and a taste to provide that nostalgia from missing her.

one of my favorite dishes when I was a kid. My mom made this, but always added garlic cuz were Italian and she added garlic to everything! LOL. I love it cuz it's so simple, but oh so good. ❤❤❤

I remember as a kid I used to always visit my aunt and she would always say to me when I asked her what we were having for dinner she would say: "spaghetti!"And then she would hand me a plate of spaghetti with butter! When I tell you I was disappointed every single time I ask the stupid question!! I'mma watch this video but I don't know how I'm going to take it or if I'll copy the recipe LOL
Lol. Well I would have been disappointed too!! I’ve had spaghetti and butter. it is NOT the same as true buttered noodles. The texture and taste are completely different. And I don’t like spaghetti and butter lol. I am sorry you had to go through that but on the other hand I’m sure she was providing you what should could and maybe what she thought was delicious. Forgive her and just never serve spaghetti and butter lol
