The reason Apple still uses 60hz displays on their basic models has nothing to do with keeping the costs down to offer a cheaper choice. It’s only to make their Pro models stand up more. Is it even cheaper to mass produce such a rare type of panel nowadays, when even the cheapest phones have 120hz? Xperia 10 mk 5 and Pixel 6a are the only exceptions I can think of.

I gotta say, I switched from an iPhone 12 mini to a pixel 7 pro a while back. One of the reasons was for the 120hz display. All these RUclipsrs kept saying how it's so much better, but I could barely tell the difference once I got it, and I did side by side comparisons. Maybe that's just me, but I'm not making any purchases based on that again.
