The reason Apple still uses 60hz displays on their basic models has nothing to do with keeping the costs down to offer a cheaper choice. It’s only to make their Pro models stand up more. Is it even cheaper to mass produce such a rare type of panel nowadays, when even the cheapest phones have 120hz? Xperia 10 mk 5 and Pixel 6a are the only exceptions I can think of.
They call it "ProMotion" to justify paying much more money for "Pro" models when in reality 120hz is an absolute standard for flagship devices. Disgusting company.
I gotta say, I switched from an iPhone 12 mini to a pixel 7 pro a while back. One of the reasons was for the 120hz display. All these RUclipsrs kept saying how it's so much better, but I could barely tell the difference once I got it, and I did side by side comparisons. Maybe that's just me, but I'm not making any purchases based on that again.

I have the ipad m1 ‘120 hz’ and an iphone 11 ‘60 hz’ and I literally do not feel the difference. If you’re not using it for work or if it’s not super needed it’d be a bad financial investment when you can get cheaper options that function the same way.
it's the screen size difference, guys. i too had the ipad 2018 11" and then m1 ipad both with 120 hz and never felt a difference with my iPhone but immediately felt the difference when stepping down from 120hz 15 to my 12 PM.

My eye become pain & uncomfortable after transition back from 120hz(iPhone 14 Pro) to 60hz(iPhone 11 Pro)…looks like can’t return back to 60hz once u stick with 120hz…my transition happen because of Green Screen issue happen on ip13pm & 14p series that i use before😮

The “lag” people are talking about is maybe a 2 second difference lol so you’ll be fine if you get the 15 plus. But the 13PM is the better phone over all. If the color is what you mainly want tho just get the 15plus. Do not get the 14 like the other guy was saying lmao it’s basically a rip off version of the 13pro max and 15plus
I have an Iphone with 120hz and I got to admit it‘s too damn fast for me, I didn‘t like it. Found out you can turn the hz down in the settings. Did that. Now it displays 60hz and I just like it more. I can tell the difference soooo much!
Apple can’t afford to put 120hz in their standard iPhone 16 in 2024. In fact we should be sending them more money since they can no longer include a charging brick.
My 13 pro is lagging so I feel the 60 won’t bother me. I didn’t see much difference in the video. I just bought a 15 plus so I guess I’ll find out soon.
14 pros will ramp down to low as 1hz compared to the 13 pros 10hz, so it’ll save a lot of battery plus aod is cool, I’ll upgrading my 11 pro to the 14 pro, mainly due to the refresh rate! M so hype! 🙌 🤩
Oh my god he did not film in true slow mo. He just slowed down a normal video. If you play at 0.25 speed, you can see that his fingers have the same frame rate as both screens, which means it's not truly showing the difference.

Go into settings / accessibility/ motion / and limit frame rate - then you will see if it will bother you or not

@@eren5411 I found out it was something wrong with the current update of iPhone and I had to wait for a new update and that fixed my situation.
The 14 pro series will also have an always on display which will save a lot of battery life.
