Awesome Adam what a kind noble gentleman to give, up 2 hours, of his, free time to teach someone new to the game. Wish there were more like, that. Great video mate
A great guy with loads of information. Given me great information to pick up a fly rod again after so many years not fly fishing. Fantastic positive attitude and approach to helping others. Thanks for the video.
Nice video, and really nice of you to truly show a newbie trying fly fishing. It can be frustrating at first, but once you get it you are hooked (pardon the pun) However, in your video, make sure you can hear the instructor. Another point to know. Take a look around 360 degrees. Nothing ruins a day of fly fishing as constantly hooking tress. Good luck you look to have gotten the hang of it rather quickly. Be careful it can quickly go from a little part time hobby to a full time passion.
Hi Adam enjoyed your video you did say the guy you met was very helpful I would like to say I am a fly fisherman and that’s what people who fly do we share information tips and tricks even to the point we’re we give flies to one and other, can I say you can learn a lot on RUclips have a look at people demonstrating the roll cast dead easy and very effective 🎣🎣🎣 you are obviously a coarse fisherman have a go at fly fishing for carp that’s amazing, all the best
@@AdamsFishingAdventures your welcome, where about were you fishing it looks like a nice little stretch of water is it a day ticket or a syndicate water
Absolutely brilliant to watch this. Proper enjoying your videos. This was just proper nice to watch man. Fair play to you both. Thank you for sharing it too. I bet there's not many who'd be willing to film amd share their first ever fly fishing session. I bought a fly setup last year local store was closing down and they had a nice fly rod reel, they sorted me out some line amd some flies. I've not used them yet. Realised recently I should've had it out the last month or 2. Definitely going to give it a go next closed season feel like I've missed a trick this time having it sat there but ahwell. Not long till 'rivers open' now bud.
Great video mate and nice to see you branching out into other areas of the sport, and what gent to stop his own fishing and give you a hands on lesson to get your casting right and then to get you on the fish which must have made it a day to remember for the both of you
Sorry, but I think this is important to fly fishing beginners. 1) If you can join a FF club. 2) start on a lake or somewhere there are not a lot of trees 3) learn the Roll Cast.
Casting a fly line is very hard to learn on your own as you can't see your own faults. Try practising on a field or similar and film yourself and keep having a look at the video to see what's going wrong, or right. put 9' of mono on and knot a small bunch of bright wool on the end to simulate the fly.
The blind leading the blind ?? This isn’t very good at all and I hope that people won’t watch this and think this is how to fly cast. The idea is that your wrist and the rod do all the work - what’s with the throwing your body forward in a lurching movement, That’s not fly casting at all. I’ve fly fished for 35 years plus and taught numerous people but never like that
I agree on a different category…. This is not a good video for beginners. You need to remove this. It’s not about “You”. Bad call sir. Your basic knowledge is flawed. Go to a website to help you understand fly fishing.
It is about "me" Kenneth and my journey to becoming a fly fisherman this is what starting looks like and what better way to start than on the bank if I was sat at home on a website I wouldn't of met the guy that tought me how to do it.......

I find it's a really productive method now I know partially what I'm doing

@@AdamsFishingAdventures Ta. If you get the casting sorted you can have a bit of fun on the Foss dry fly fishing for chub, or whatever.
