കഴിവ് ഉണ്ടെൽ നാട്ടിൽ തന്നെ നല്ല സാലറിയിൽ ജോലി കിട്ടും. ഞാൻ വീട്ടിൽ ഇരുന്നു ജോലി ചെയ്ത് 1lakh plus salary കിട്ടുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇതിലും നല്ല life ലോകത്ത് ഒരിടത്തും ലഭിക്കില്ല. എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞു ജനിച്ച അന്ന് മുതൽ ഫുൾ time അവന്റെ കൂടെ spend ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുന്നുണ്ട്. നാട്ടിലെ എല്ലാ function attend ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുന്നുണ്ട്.
അപ്പോൾ എനിക്ക് ഒരു സംശയം മലയാളികൾ നേരിടുന്ന അതേ സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ തന്നെയാണ് മറ്റു സംസ്ഥാനക്കാരും രാജ്യക്കാരും നേരിടുന്നത്. അവരിൽ കുറെ ആളുകൾ തിരിച്ചു പോകുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ? പക്ഷേ മലയാളികൾ മാത്രം തിരിച്ചുപോകാത്ത എന്തുകൊണ്ട്. എനിക്ക് തോന്നുന്നത് മലയാളികൾ അവിടെ ചെന്ന് ഉടനെ തന്നെ വലിയൊരു വീടും വലിയൊരു കാറും വാങ്ങിക്കും കിട്ടുന്ന കാശൊക്കെ അടിച്ചുപൊളിക്കും പിന്നെ കയ്യിൽ ബാക്കി ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടാകില്ല. മറ്റ് സംസ്ഥാനക്കാർ അങ്ങനെയല്ല അവർക്ക് ആഡംബര ഭ്രമം കുറവാണ്. പിന്നെ മലയാളികൾക്ക് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പറയുന്ന രാജ്യത്ത് ജീവിക്കാൻ വലിയ അഭിമാനമാണ് മലയാളികളുടെ കുട്ടികൾ വീട്ടിൽ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പറയൂ പക്ഷേ മറ്റ് സംസ്ഥാനക്കാരുടെ മക്കൾ സ്വന്തം ഭാഷയാണ് വീട്ടിൽ സംസാരിക്കുന്നത്. അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഷയെയും സംസ്കാരത്തെയും സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു. മലയാളികൾ അങ്ങനെയല്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് അവർ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യം വിടില്ല.

Living in North America for 30 years, I hardly see anyone retire back in India totally. They go to Kerala for a few months and then miss the comforts of living in a developed country.
Singapore is one of the best countries in the world for expats. Great infrastructure, high income, low tax, super safe for woman and children, great climate for Malayalis. Getting PR is really really tough. But if you get it Singapore is a great place.
Yes bro. I was a Permanent Resident both in Singapore and Australia. Sg frm 2003 to 2021. In between Australia frm 2016 to 2017 . I didn’t like Australia much , had family PR there. But decided to return to Sg again. now settled in Kerala. If we have money Kerala is best.

I agree with all the opinions here.. Singapore has no resources, but kerala is resource rich. Our political landscape is so complex and deep rooted with antediluvian ideology. Corruption is the main problem. It starts from lower grade civil servant😄
I am happy here in Bangalore, no complaints. Happily earning 25lpa . Get some onsite from time to time . Zero debt . I agree with quality of life aspect anyday , that sucks here in Bangalore more than our beloved Kerala . Education is all upto you , I got high standard education here in India itself (I paid 25k inr tuition fee for my 4 year UG at SNU ) Even if India doesn't progress as much , Kerala will progress (after a full collapse )

There are different reasons why people don't go back. In my situation I left Kerala in 1968 for university studies in North India. After completing my MSc, I left India for good to Canada. After my arrival my whole immediate family immigrated to Canada. Now I have no immediate family in India. I lost all contacts with my university friends (this is pre computers and internet). If I go to Kerala I am a total stranger there. Can I financially afford to go back? easily. Myself and my wife has accumulated enough wealth in Canada with no financial worries anywhere in the world. Then I have no reason to go back.
I have explained that in this video. People who came 20- 30 years ago are well settled here . You came at the right time . IMO millennials are struggling to create wealth. The average salary and price of a home 8 times higher these days . 20 year ago it was 3 or 4 times right ? I know the interest rates were higher but still you had good chance to afford a home those days !!’

The reason that motivate ppl to go abroad is not just because of its comfort or belief of a good govt, its bcoz of the surety that if you work and struggle more you can still have a decent life there irrespective of the cons there. You pay tax, you get good medical facility, education , quality transport etc... and the govt will do what they need to protect and help their citizens. Ppl who leave their homelands is sure that they wont get these in their countries irrespective of what they do. And also the society is better there. Ppl follow rules and instructions, dont harm nature, politicians are educated, ppl dont destroy public property..list can go on.. In other countries, they are civilized ppl but the minority uncivilized ppl are too horrible to bear and the lack of easiness to do things.

ഇതിലും നല്ല life ലോകത്ത് ഒരിടത്തും ലഭിക്കില്ല. എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞു ജനിച്ച അന്ന് മുതൽ ഫുൾ time അവന്റെ കൂടെ spend ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുന്നുണ്ട്. നാട്ടിലെ എല്ലാ function attend ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുന്നുണ്ട്.
അപ്പോൾ എനിക്ക് ഒരു സംശയം മലയാളികൾ നേരിടുന്ന അതേ സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ തന്നെയാണ് മറ്റു സംസ്ഥാനക്കാരും രാജ്യക്കാരും നേരിടുന്നത്. അവരിൽ കുറെ ആളുകൾ തിരിച്ചു പോകുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ? പക്ഷേ മലയാളികൾ മാത്രം തിരിച്ചുപോകാത്ത എന്തുകൊണ്ട്.

Living in North America for 30 years, I hardly see anyone retire back in India totally. They go to Kerala for a few months and then miss the comforts of living in a developed country.
Singapore is one of the best countries in the world for expats. Great infrastructure, high income, low tax, super safe for woman and children, great climate for Malayalis. Getting PR is really really tough. But if you get it Singapore is a great place.

There are different reasons why people don't go back. In my situation I left Kerala in 1968 for university studies in North India. After completing my MSc, I left India for good to Canada. After my arrival my whole immediate family immigrated to Canada. Now I have no immediate family in India. I lost all contacts with my university friends (this is pre computers and internet). If I go to Kerala I am a total stranger there.
Can I financially afford to go back? easily. Myself and my wife has accumulated enough wealth in Canada with no financial worries anywhere in the world.
Then I have no reason to go back.
I have explained that in this video. People who came 20- 30 years ago are well settled here . You came at the right time . IMO millennials are struggling to create wealth. The average salary and price of a home 8 times higher these days . 20 year ago it was 3 or 4 times right ? The reason that motivate ppl to go abroad is not just because of its comfort or belief of a good govt, its bcoz of the surety that if you work and struggle more you can still have a decent life there irrespective of the cons there.
You pay tax, you get good medical facility, education , quality transport etc... and the govt will do what they need to protect and help their citizens. Ppl who leave their homelands is sure that they wont get these in their countries irrespective of what they do.
And also the society is better there. Ppl follow rules and instructions, dont harm nature, politicians are educated, ppl dont destroy public property..list can go on.. In other countries, they are civilized ppl but the minority uncivilized ppl are too horrible to bear and the lack of easiness to do things.
