Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). So, since I’m a native SoCal gal, I am admittedly jaded. With everything, every singer, every genre, and also being a pk, growing up taking piano lessons, and vocally, singing in church, playing Handels, Messiah, type songs for the choir. I think Dimash is technically the best singer in the world. Yes, in his concerts he sings off the cuff, and reaches all the notes easily without auto tune. He has some English songs, though his later more recent songs his English is better than when he was in the contest, “ I am Singer,” He sings “Stranger,” in English. He has a newer MV out, “When I’ve Got You.” Myself I really like his crossover songs such as pop or rock opera, “Olympico,” Is one. And one of his songs makes me think of classic lounge singers, called “Love is Like a Dream,” it’s not in English though, it is in Russian. Also for more runs, “Sinful Passion,” And “When I’ve Got You,” the MV, has some crazy runs. “Ave Maria,” version by composer Igor Krutoy, is simply beautiful. As a producer you might be interested to know where this song came from. It’s a song from Starmania…it is a French-Canadian cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976 with the music score by Michel Berger and the lyrics by Luc Plamondon. In the opera the lead character is Johnny Rocket and he is singing S.O.S. when Crystal, the love of his life has been killed while fighting extraterrestrials who are trying to take over the earth. It is a song of self-doubt about his life and whether he wants to go on living. At this point he wants to be taken up into the heavens. Starmania has been translated into many languages and has been performed in English by Tom Jones and many other famous singers. The song S.O.S. has been popular ever since it was written because I think it speaks to everyone’s self-doubt which we all feel at some time in our lives. Dimash performs this in its original french language. Dimash makes you feel every single emotion the character is going through in the opera in his performance. Why do I live…why do I die. In many performances of S.O.S. he will drop to his knees just as Johnny Rocket does in the opera, weeping over his lost love while holding her in his arms telling her to sleep child. @@monikadear3594 I know, I saw a hour long interview with him in his own country a couple of years ago where he addressed how many languages he spoke. of course I still see anywhere from 5 to 15 languages plastered all over the comments but speaking and learning the words to a song in another language is two different things.. This why I try not to get involved with what he speaks. I did however think that one of the three was French, but i would not swear to that so I'll take your word for it. Dimash once covered Vitas' Opera 2 on a Chinese singing competition and blew all the other competitors out of the water by exaggerating what Vitas had done even further. When Vitas (or his management) heard this cover, they forbade Dimash to ever sing Opera 2 again. Fortunately, the performance is here on RUclips, just search for it.

Well Vitas found out the Dimash not only sang his but took it up two more modulations than Vitas could or was willing to try. So, Vitas got a court injunction barring Dimash from ever singing it again in public. The version I am giving you shows more content than the video that usually is sent out. When you listen to it there is a story behind, the behind-the-scenes story of this performance. I see you already have reacted to this song, but perhaps not this view. The record label that owns the song did that. Dimash is not allowed to sing it again, but Vitas was not behind the legal action. Dimash is well worth a dive down his rabbit hole. Really, this is nothing. He performed Vitas; Opera 2 in China in 2017. He was so fabulous, Vitas wrote him and told him to cease and desist from performing any of his music.. Dimash did.

Check his performance of Unforgettable Day (which by the way he composed at age 17) at the 2017 Gakku music festival to hear his D8! As you pointed out, Dimash uses his range and mastery of genres as a painter would use colors on his palette, applying them wherever he feels they should be, often within the same song, or the same stanza, or the same phrase.

Welcome to the phenomenal Dimash. He was classically trained & offered a place in the Astana Opera House, but he had already decided to pursue a career in neo classic/crossover style. He sings all genres of music from Opera (& he can do baritone, tenor & soprano) to pop & everything inbetween. He truly is a once-in-a-lifetime artist. He is also a multi-instrumentalist and sings in 14+ languages, even though he only speaks 3 fluently - Kazakh, Russian & English. He is also a composer, but this is not one of his. This song is from a 1970's rock opera called Starmania. Many have sung it, but never like Dimash. He is also the most humble, caring & kind man who is very proud of his Kazakh roots. He has a worldwide following with fans (he calls us his Dears) willing to travel the globe to see him live & he regularly sells out arenas & stadiums. Dimash began his classical/operatic vocal training just before age 5. He will be 30 the 24th of May and is still meeting with vocal coaches. He is considered the greatest vocalist in the world and has a vocal range of well over 7 octaves. He has also trained in playing in several instruments. He does have perfect pitch. He is now Dr. Qudaibergen (PhD). Very high IQ, composer, has been quite the athlete but his schedule is quite busy so not sure where he is in that field at the moment. Like many in Kazakhstan, he is Eurasian. Tall at 6'3", kind, you will often see him walking around with someone's baby in his arms. He developed this habit from being that way with his two younger siblings. He came from musical parents who were well known entertainers in Kazakhstan.

I’ve been Dimashified 4 years ago and still get goosebumps all over every time i hear him sing. Speaking of Vitas, please check out Opera 2 originally by him. Dimash’ rendition is my favorite and you’ll see why. 🙏

I would like to recommend a song Dimash wrote that I'm sure you'll like, it's called "When I've Got You." Like most of his music it's completely different from this one and it's in English.
Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is a classically trained singer and his father is a singer and producer. With everything, every singer, every genre, and also being a pk, growing up taking piano lessons, and vocally, singing in church, playing Handels, Messiah, type songs for the choir.
I think Dimash is technically the best singer in the world.
Yes, in his concerts he sings off the cuff, and reaches all the notes easily without auto tune.
He has some English songs, though his later more recent songs his English is better than when he was in the contest, “ I am Singer,”
He sings “Stranger,” in English.
He has a newer MV out, “When I’ve Got You.”
Myself I really like his crossover songs such as pop or rock opera,

And one of his songs makes me think of classic lounge singers, called “Love is Like a Dream,” it’s not in English though, it is in Russian.

ARMY/DEAR here! Welcome to the party! The Vita Opera 2 silliness just showed that he knew Dimash out-sang him. IMO. Dimash was just a kid at the time also. You can’t go wrong w any of his songs and his story is so moving. Love all his work but his newest song When I’ve Got You is my daily go to.
Dimash is not just a singer. He is a musical genius and a beautiful human being. Performer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and the list goes on. He sings in all registers and yes... he can cover all the notes of a piano (and some off the piano). His 7 octave range combined with his amazing vocal and breathing control is a deadly combination. But most importantly he sings with his soul and whole body. He covers and combines genres like pop, rock, R&B, soul, jazz, folk, opera, EDM... basically whatever he feels about. He is the composer of the masterpiece "The story of one sky" and the mini movie for this one is a MUST see for everyone who feels the pain of humanity. As a producer you might be interested to know where this song came from. It’s a song from Starmania…it is a French-Canadian cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976 with the music score by Michel Berger and the lyrics by Luc Plamondon. In the opera the lead character is Johnny Rocket and he is singing S.O.S. when Crystal, the love of his life has been killed while fighting extraterrestrials who are trying to take over the earth. It is a song of self-doubt about his life and whether he wants to go on living. At this point he wants to be taken up into the heavens. Starmania has been translated into many languages and has been performed in English by Tom Jones and many other famous singers. The song S.O.S. has been popular ever since it was written because I think it speaks to everyone’s self-doubt which we all feel at some time in our lives. Dimash performs this in its original french language. Dimash makes you feel every single emotion the character is going through in the opera in his performance. Why do I live…why do I die. In many performances of S.O.S. he will drop to his knees just as Johnny Rocket does in the opera, weeping over his lost love while holding her in his arms telling her to sleep child. No one on the planet has ever sung this so perfectly as Dimash.

@@monikadear3594 I know, I saw a hour long interview with him in his own country a couple of years ago where he addressed how many languages he spoke. of course I still see anywhere from 5 to 15 languages plastered all over the comments but speaking and learning the words to a song in another language is two different things.. This why I try not to get involved with what he speaks. I did however think that one of the three was French, but i would not swear to that so I'll take your word for it. Dimash once covered Vitas' Opera 2 on a Chinese singing competition and blew all the other competitors out of the water by exaggerating what Vitas had done even further. When Vitas (or his management) heard this cover, they forbade Dimash to ever sing Opera 2 again. Fortunately, the performance is here on RUclips, just search for it.

Well Vitas found out the Dimash not only sang his but took it up two more modulations than Vitas could or was willing to try. So, Vitas got a court injunction barring Dimash from ever singing it again in public. The version I am giving you shows more content than the video that usually is sent out. When you listen to it there is a story behind, the behind-the-scenes story of this performance.

This is not true.
The record label that owns the song did that. Dimash is not allowed to sing it again, but Vitas was not behind the legal action. Vitas and Dimash have always been on friendly terms with each other - before and after the legal fight.

In those groups, these haters wrote BS about Dimash, Dimash's family, Dimash's friends, Dimash's compatriots, even Kazakhstan government, about Dimash's fans. Live in concert you see 3 avatar Dimash's, one Baritone, One Tenor, One Soprano and then the live pop all singing together in Spanish. He will sing in so many languages including English. Dimash is one of the most talented artists nowadays.. and one of the most complete one! If you get a chance to see him live in a concert, you shouldn't miss that opportunity! He'll have 2 concerts in November (Prague and Düsseldorf). His concerts are a life-changing experience. I have never ever had that with any other artists world-wide. Dimash is just one in a million. Check his performance of Unforgettable Day (which by the way he composed at age 17) at the 2017 Gakku music festival to hear his D8!
As you pointed out, Dimash uses his range and mastery of genres as a painter would use colors on his palette, applying them wherever he feels they should be, often within the same song, or the same stanza, or the same phrase.
It's always interesting to get reactions from singers and vocal coaches to Dimash. He's an amazing person beyond music as well. This is a person with a beautiful heart.

Welcome to the phenomenal Dimash. He was classically trained & offered a place in the Astana Opera House, but he had already decided to pursue a career in neo classic/crossover style. He sings all genres of music from Opera (& he can do baritone, tenor & soprano) to pop & everything inbetween. He truly is a once-in-a-lifetime artist. He is also a multi-instrumentalist and sings in 14+ languages, even though he only speaks 3 fluently - Kazakh, Russian & English. He is also a composer, but this is not one of his. This song is from a 1970's rock opera called Starmania. Many have sung it, but never like Dimash.
He is also the most humble, caring & kind man who is very proud of his Kazakh roots. He has a worldwide following with fans (he calls us his Dears) willing to travel the globe to see him live & he regularly sells out arenas & stadiums. I recently came back from Budapest where Dears from 77 countries attended. I am going to Istanbul next week for his 30th birthday concert on 24 May.

Dimash began his classical/operatic vocal training just before age 5.
He will be 30 the 24th of May and is still meeting with vocal coaches.
He is considered the greatest vocalist in the world and has a vocal range of well over 7 octaves.
He has also trained in playing in several instruments. He does have perfect pitch.
He is now Dr. Qudaibergen (PhD). Very high IQ, composer, has been quite the athlete but his schedule is quite busy so not sure where he is in that field at the moment.
Like many in Kazakhstan, he is Eurasian. Tall at 6'3", kind, you will often see him walking around with someone's baby in his arms. He developed this habit from being that way with his two younger siblings. He came from musical parents who were well known entertainers in
Kazakhstan.
