Today I'm challenged by none other than Max Bertone, who two years ago destroyed me on a boulder called Saruman Du Bas, a technical 8B/V13 in Fontainebleau. In this video we climb on some of the boulders that are set for the national french team to train on, but we only get one attempt per boulder.

I had a ton of fun editing this video and ended up bursting into laughter several times, I hope you all enjoyed it too!
PS. I didn’t put any grades in the video since the boulders were set for the French national team to train on and therefore don’t have a grade, but the range is easy World Cup to hard World cup level, if that gives any indication.

I guess starting off as a kid with a world class climber as a silbling is not a disadvantage. Most likely he also has great genetics, certainly great movement. I am excited to see him in the IFSC eventually!

Comp kids come into my gym, and complain about not having enough routes, because they've done everything, and we have a wide range of v7-9 and they'll do every route in the gym before doing those. While I'm warming up on v5 to attempt the v7s
