    I bought one and here are some tips:
    - You can use this headphone wired with a usb-c cable, It works both on phones and computers.
    - When you use it connected with cable to a computer, the headphone will also charge while you use it.
    - The Microphone also works while wired. So you can basically use this as a wired headset.

    That's really nice man, pointing out that hi-res isn't just about the headphones/earbuds, but rather the source. I don't think many casual listeners are aware of that fact! Or the fact that if your earbuds come equipped with certain codecs but your device doesn't support the codecs, then no hi-res experience for you!

    I'm just wondering how good are these compared to Edifier W830BT...
    Despite focusing on a more premium experience and bringing great sound, the W830BT lacks on ANC features and performs very poorly when it comes to mic quality (verified by my own experience during calls).
    Could the W820NB sound quality match or even surpass the W830BT's?

    • @lucashsantosnew
      @lucashsantosnew 2 года назад +14

      @@jamesfauzan4246 Yes, indeed. I've got the W820NB since last December. And I'm really enjoying the experience. One standout feature between both is the microphone, being the W820NB's away better than the W830BT's one. As for the W830BT, they are clearly more firmly build, more of a premium feeling, and have a slightly larger sound stage. Nevertheless, audio quality between both is pretty much similar, with the W820NB being benefitted by ANC, which makes the whole listening section more enjoyable. By the way, comfort wise, they are both very pleasant to use, with the W820NB being lighter and a little bit more comfortable. I would recommend both straightway. But, regarding the increasing need for noise cancelation in urban areas, I'd pick-up the W820NB for excelling this feature.

    • @jamesfauzan4246
      @jamesfauzan4246 2 года назад +2

      @@lucashsantosnew Thanks for the quick and thorough response! Yes once you go ANC, you can't live without them haha. I have a TWS with excellent ANC, but I tend to drop them every time I sleep, so it's a major concern if I was to have a long trip on a train, which I am going to soon. I've been reading very positive reviews about W830BT's comfort, so W820NB being a little more comfortable is a pleasant surprise. Also, does the 820 lean towards the intimate side or is it still relatively wide? And how is the imaging? I don't play games but can you hear from which direction steps come from?

    • @lucashsantosnew
      @lucashsantosnew 2 года назад

      @@jamesfauzan4246 You're welcome! I'm glad to answer. Definitely, going with ANC is an one way route... We totally agree on that! So, despite the little difference I've pointed out, they are both very comfortable. What happens is that the build and materials of W830BT make them slightly heavier and a bit bulkier than the W820NB. The all-plastic W820NB are still relatively wide (not much, the expected for over-the-ear headphones), but they tend to sit closer to the head, more integrated to its silhouette. It can be my particular case, though. Speaking of spatial audio capability, yes, both the headphones allow you distinguish the direction of steps, knockings and even blowing and blasts (depending upon the source quality). Instruments separation is also quite good on both devices. Only the sound stage that is just a bit narrower on W820NB, a feel that is, again, balanced by the ANC feature. One thing that I forgot to mention is about battery life. Using the W820NB everyday, 5 to 6 hours a day and ANC on, I recharge the battery like once a week. With W830BT, the same pattern of usage requires just a monthly recharge, or even less. Besides ANC, that's the only other big difference between them.

      Yeah there is. You just need to press once on the bluetooth/multi function button and it will cycle through ANC on, ANC off and Ambient mode. The ambient mode is pretty subtle at zero. At the app you can set it to 6 levels of ambient mode intensity. Even at +3 it doesn't sound too artificial which is good 😁

      @@erizheizlan it is not about that, it's about using any wireless Headphones/Earbuds with regular PC - is terrible because regular Bluetooth has terrible audio codecs, and dedicated Bluetooth Audio Dongle/Device are not cheap... I will say the problem I've had with them is thw turning part that was talked about does catch my hair and if I'm not careful it will pull my hair it's only like one or 2 strands of hair but it's still annoying the sharpness isn't much of an issue it's the fact that it will pull my hair out other than that they are amazing I only needed these for school since we need visable headphones so else I'd have wireless eae bus taken or not permitted some weird rule. I didn't really know how to use the buttons at first and the ambient sound but I usually have it on my ear buds so it wasn't new I don't use these for a complete noise block so I can't really review thag
