Hi mate, just started playing. I’m decent on the rally aspect of the game but am struggling with the online rallycross. I’m always about a second to two off the pace. Noticed that you were controlling them corners impressively and was wondering if you could give me some tips on keeping the car under control but maintaining your speed
Hi, thanks for the kind words. First of all i think if you just two seconds of the pace with just starting to play the game, than you do already well. :) I have done quite some hours of RX in both DiRT 4 and DR 2.0 Here are some tips: - I use manual gears, so i have better control over the revs i want to use. Actually I use no assists at all because it slows me down. One assist that could help is braking. - Know the track lay-out. Same as circuit racing you need to know the track lay-out. sometimes need to sacrifice a corner to have a good following section. - Practice at DirtFish. Hoon the car around and see what it does with your inputs so you can get a feeling of the car. - Practice with Time Trail at the track. You can select one or multiple ghosts from the leaderboard. Don't choose the top guy, but for example a driver who is around halve a second faster. You can better check where you loose and gain time. - Stay flexible with your inputs. With circuit racing the point of turn-in, braking, apex and stuff stay very similar. But with Rallycross you need to very adjustable as almost every lap is different, because hitting a bump just a little bit makes the car already be positions differently for the next 100m. So you need to adjust your inputs based on that quickly. But with experience you will learn this i think :)
RX is a bit of contact sport, so some rubbing is allowed, but push them out of the way is not allowed. What I do is pretty much the limit. What other did at T1 at the start is to much. Normal in the quali races you see much more clean racing, as it goes about the fastest time. In the finals it is ussually more aggresive as it then goes about position. Check some World RX races from last year. You will get a good indication what is allowed and what not.
@@JJ-pe5er Yeah, random lobby can have some moron drivers. Luckily i have a few mates in the Codemasters forum where we drive together online. Maybe best way to race online is with friends or online league. Or host your own custom event, and kick out people who drive shit constantly.
Yes. - Clubs, this is cross platform rally events. You not need to be at the same time online. - Custom, online rally and rallycross events where you directly compete against your friend. This is not cross platform.
good gameplay 💪
Belle course

A bit too over-aggressive with the subaru but gj
Nah, subaru made the mistake, went sideways, while having multiple cars in the corner
