You just didn't know me You just didn't know me You JUST didn't know ME You JUST didn't know ME Most of Bjork's songs are about love, and life. In this song (IMHO) she is explaining the great distance between what we feel and what we need.
This is from the Cambridge DVD. Björk is beyond amazing. She is possessed by her love for music and you can feel it every time you listen. One in a million.
she says "you just didn't know me" it just sounds like she says you "just did know me", cuz the -n't part is kinda fast. i do it all the time when i say "didn't"
@blackshuck1000 i think shes saying to the person shes addressing "the reason ur surprised by the way im acting is cause 'you just didn't know me...im a hunter...i bring back the goods'...if we're not getting along it's cause 'you just didnt know me'"
I know there are many successful singers and bands in the genre, like Portishead, Massive Attack, Lamb and many many more... But she is the most successful... Björk is The Queen of Trip-Hop.
Björk did NOT write the opening song that plays before Hunter. It is called " Vísur Vatnsenda Rósu " and is written by Jón Ásgeirsson based on a poem by Vatnsenda Rósa (1795-1855). It's an old Icelandic lullaby.... Lovely rendition though
"You just didn't know me..." I'm not 100% sure what it's supposed to "mean;" Bjork's lyrics, to me, are somewhat abstract. Heart the stuffing out them, tho. =)
here in NYC a group called "Bjorkestra" did their best to ruin this song, and fairly well succeeded...:>) Bjork's version rules, and is also the best re-cycling of Ravel's "Bolero" riff I have ever heard!!!
@trueaudience It's sad that Björk fans think like this. And it's even sadder that there are twelve more who agree. Why can't you just enjoy and appreciate the music?
Me also, my musical tendencies are toward Christian Hardcore but this doesn't make me not enjoy Electronica/Dance stuff. I personally think that bjork is amazing.
@trueaudience From what I see, whoever praises Björk and talks bad about Gaga is just immature kid who think he's cool just because he thinks he's not mainstream (although, he is) and because he thinks he's different from others (although, he isn't). Nothing personal. $0.02
You wouldn't believe what types of christian music there is, it covers every genere: colombian cumbia, hip-hop, even death metal!! Which I personally believe is like a double blasphemy to God and to Death Metal at once.
I feel so privileged to experience this - so many are missing the amazing gifts vested in Bjork
You just didn't know me
You just didn't know me
You JUST didn't know ME
You JUST didn't know ME
Most of Bjork's songs are about love, and life. In this song (IMHO) she is explaining the great distance between what we feel and what we need.

God. Pure creativity and talent. I just love it! She's so into her music, it's great. Haunting. Merci pour ces superbes videos!

God she is so beautiful.

Björk is The Queen of Trip-Hop.

;_; I really love this version
T-T She's great!
love this version ;)
I love Björk's parents !!!! I love Björk :p !!!
she says 'you just didnt know me'
as far as i'm concerned, EVERY gudmundsdottir album-opener should include the coda of this song. she keeps our ears on their toes.
amazing, love it !
@tentedlove007
It's "You just didn't know me"
(not "you just did know me" as it says in the description either)
Björk did NOT write the opening song that plays before Hunter. It is called " Vísur Vatnsenda Rósu " and is written by Jón Ásgeirsson based on a poem by Vatnsenda Rósa (1795-1855). It's an old Icelandic lullaby.... Lovely rendition though
cool merci
@blackshuck1000 I heard her explain this song in an interview, its about a bird that hunts a certain way. Search bjork hunter interview on tube
what a gift ... so not fair but i can't help but love it anyway ;(
BJORKKKKKK....
yeah i like the beginning the song too
YOU JUST DIDN'T KNOW ME
"You just didn't know me..."
I'm not 100% sure what it's supposed to "mean;" Bjork's lyrics, to me, are somewhat abstract. Heart the stuffing out them, tho. =)
😍
Whiskey tango foxtrot? Why can't I see my post? Eh. Life hates me. :P
here in NYC a group called "Bjorkestra" did their best to
ruin this song, and fairly well succeeded...:>)
Bjork's version rules, and is also the best re-cycling of Ravel's
"Bolero" riff I have ever heard!!!
good question :)))
I just had the funniest thought: what if Bjork had a pop-esque choreography?
she said you just didn't know me
if someone doesn't get touched by this music probably will be deaf
lo tienes?? me gustaria escucharlo
Bjork released her's first.
30 seconds to mars just did they "own" version of the song..
@12345random67890 yeah it's pretty fucking good. it is from a dvd.. she has a butt ton of live dvd's.. check them all out!
I guess she says "You just didn't know me"
@trueaudience It's sad that Björk fans think like this. And it's even sadder that there are twelve more who agree.
Why can't you just enjoy and appreciate the music?
Is that opening song on the Homogenic Live album?
It's " You Just Ignored Me " !!!!!!!!!
I have a feeling it's all low strings: viola and cello... Some knowitall might come correct me though :P
does anyone know what year this was?
i want to be the most important person in her life ok
Me also, my musical tendencies are toward Christian Hardcore but this doesn't make me not enjoy Electronica/Dance stuff.
I personally think that bjork is amazing.
@trueaudience and whats up with the criticism?
Follow the Bliss!!
The police intercepted it :D.
@krazycalvin At least she has good inspiration.
With all respect, our muse looks kind of sexy in this one, doesn't she?
why is it so dark? i can't see her face
@trueaudience From what I see, whoever praises Björk and talks bad about Gaga is just immature kid who think he's cool just because he thinks he's not mainstream (although, he is) and because he thinks he's different from others (although, he isn't).
Nothing personal. $0.02
corn exchange? its not the junction...
i love this song. i really don't like 30 seconds to mars' version. she is amazing live!
@prozie286 england
Nope, Hardcore is defined by a particular sound, not a background or lyrics.
There's a HUGE Christian Hardcore scene.
You wouldn't believe what types of christian music there is, it covers every genere: colombian cumbia, hip-hop, even death metal!! Which I personally believe is like a double blasphemy to God and to Death Metal at once.
I think Lady Gaga rips too many pages from Bjorks book.
"Live in Cambridge." Cambridge, Minnesota? Correct me if I'm wrong...
and i know a lot of black republicans. lol. :P
Way to run expired blogs, nanortalik... 0 for 3? I smell FAIL..
well,that's a piece of crap
your estimation couldn't be further from the truth
if someone doesn't get touched by this music probably will be deaf
