I still can’t believe I’m sitting in the front row for this concert. A million thanks to the ticket lady on the phone who decided to give a poor college student the thrill of her life. I didn’t believe the usher when he told me “all the way to the front deary”, as we walked past Bono & PJ Harvey. One of the best experiences of my life. 💗🙏🏻

Bjork on what inspired the song 'Hyperballad'
"The critical time in a relationship, which usually happens after 3 years, and I can see all around me with all my friends. It's got to do with when you fall in love, it is so precious to you, you never know this might be the last time, so your behaviour towards the loved one becomes very sweet and you go somewhere else to be aggressive. Because I believe that all people have got both sides. So you end up having to unload your aggression at a bar or by throwing cutlery off cliffs. So you can come back to your loved one, kiss him sweet on his cheek, and say happily, Hi honey."

@118060184418100742961 the guys are Matmos, they are like super skilled with electronics:) probably a part why this tour (and the subsequent Greatest Hist tour which they were on as well) was so good, all the programming and effects were perfect, some even done live. and yeah, I think Hyperballad has better live version than the studio one.

I saw Tricky play once... when the show started all the lights went out... all you could see were the rack mount lights and throughout the entirety of the show it stayed like that, with only the occasional raising and lowering of 3 or 4 very very, barely noticable red lights along the floor 9f the stage. All you heard was his voice and the band. Your other senses were overpowered by the darkness and the sound. It was the most amazing show I never saw...but heard.

    We live on a mountain
    Right at the top
    There's a beautiful view
From the top of the mountain
Every morning I walk towards the edge
    And throw little things off
    Like car-parts, bottles and cutlery
Or whatever I find lying around
    It's become a habit
A way to start the day
    I go through all this
    Before you wake up
    So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you
    I go through all this
    Before you wake up
    So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you
    It's real early morning
    No-one is awake
    I'm back at my cliff
    Still throwing things off
I listen to the sounds they make
    On their way down
I follow with my eyes 'til they crash
Imagine what my body would sound like
    Slamming against those rocks
    When it lands
    Will my eyes
    Be closed or open?
    I go through all this
    Before you wake up
    So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you
    I go through all this
    Before you wake up
    So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you

Shes such a phenomenal musician. I'm surprised no one has noticed nor mentioned this, but throughout her singing, she's making sure the rest of the musicians are okay. You can see her walk around to each person and sneak a peak to them, then around 2:00, she gets into positon she begins to sing.
From that point on you can see how happy she gets based off of each musical instrument execution.
And at 3:23, I think she even giggled/chuckled at the entire thing.
    So beautiful.

It seems that spontaneous weeping during any one of a number of her songs, certainly this one, is common. One of the few gifted musicians to be able to transfer their love of life to the public through song. This song will never die.

So much does the heart strings pull, in all too familiar and painful ways. The tears, though they stream down, they fall so gladfully.
And this, from a quiet night's watching of Bjork's Live at Royal Opera House 'Pagan Poetry' and 'Hyperballad' back to back.

I've loved this song since the first time I heard it, but it now has a special meaning to me. A year and a half ago, at 2am, I fell 3 stories straight down onto brick and rock. My scream woke my partner and then he heard the sound of my body hitting the ground. I blacked out the fall, so I will never know what my body sounded like, or if my eyes were closed or open, and I still wonder..
