I still can’t believe I’m sitting in the front row for this concert. A million thanks to the ticket lady on the phone who decided to give a poor college student the thrill of her life. I didn’t believe the usher when he told me “all the way to the front deary”, as we walked past Bono & PJ Harvey. One of the best experiences of my life. 💗🙏🏻

Bjork on what inspired the song 'Hyperballad'
"The critical time in a relationship, which usually happens after 3 years, and I can see all around me with all my friends. It's got to do with when you fall in love, it is so precious to you, you never know this might be the last time, so your behaviour towards the loved one becomes very sweet and you go somewhere else to be aggressive. Because I believe that all people have got both sides. So you end up having to unload your aggression at a bar or by throwing cutlery off cliffs. So you can come back to your loved one, kiss him sweet on his cheek, and say happily, Hi honey."

@118060184418100742961 the guys are Matmos, they are like super skilled with electronics:) probably a part why this tour (and the subsequent Greatest Hist tour which they were on as well) was so good, all the programming and effects were perfect, some even done live. and yeah, I think Hyperballad has better live version than the studio one.

    We live on a mountain
    Right at the top
    There's a beautiful view
From the top of the mountain
Every morning I walk towards the edge
    And throw little things off
    Like car-parts, bottles and cutlery
Or whatever I find lying around
    It's become a habit
A way to start the day
    I go through all this
    Before you wake up
    So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you
    I go through all this
    Before you wake up
    So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you
    It's real early morning
    No-one is awake
    I'm back at my cliff
    Still throwing things off
I listen to the sounds they make
    On their way down
I follow with my eyes 'til they crash
Imagine what my body would sound like
    Slamming against those rocks
    When it lands
    Will my eyes
    Be closed or open?
    I go through all this
    Before you wake up
    So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you
    I go through all this
    Before you wake up
    So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you
    I go through all this
    Before you wake up
    So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you
    Safe up (here with you)

I just broke up with the girl i thought i'd spend my whole life with, 1 month after i bought an house for us.
I had so many moments where i wanted to really express myself to her but she couldn't handle my weak side, i had to always be the positive and strong man with her.
I had to handle all her emotional up and downs and this really took a toll on me after years of never being able to be weak in front of her.

All you heard was his voice and the band. Your other senses were overpowered by the darkness and the sound. It was the most amazing show I never saw...but heard.

    Kita hidup di gunung
    We live on a mountain
    Tepat di atas
    Right at the top
    Ada pemandangan yang indah
    There's a beautiful view
    Dari puncak gunung
From the top of the mountain
Setiap pagi saya berjalan menuju tepi
Every morning I walk towards the edge
    Dan membuang hal-hal kecil
    And throw little things off
Seperti suku cadang mobil, botol dan peralatan makan
    Like car-parts, bottles and cutlery
Atau apa pun yang saya temukan tergeletak di sekitar
Or whatever I find lying around
    Itu sudah menjadi kebiasaan
    It's become a habit
    Cara untuk memulai hari
A way to start the day
    Saya mengalami semua ini
    I go through all this
    Sebelum kamu bangun
    Before you wake up
Jadi saya bisa merasa lebih bahagia
    So I can feel happier
    Untuk aman di sini bersamamu
To be safe up here with you
    Saya mengalami semua ini
    I go through all this
    Sebelum kamu bangun
    Before you wake up
Jadi saya bisa merasa lebih bahagia
    So I can feel happier
    Untuk aman di sini bersamamu
To be safe up here with you
    Ini pagi-pagi sekali
    It's real early morning
    Tidak ada yang bangun
    No-one is awake
    Saya kembali ke tebing saya
    I'm back at my cliff
    Masih melempar barang-barang
    Still throwing things off
Saya mendengarkan suara yang mereka buat
I listen to the sounds they make
    Dalam perjalanan turun
    On their way down
Saya mengikuti dengan mata saya sampai jatuh
I follow with my eyes 'til they crash
Bayangkan seperti apa tubuh saya nantinya
Imagine what my body would sound like
    Membanting batu-batu itu
    Slamming against those rocks
    Saat mendarat
    When it lands
    Akankah mataku
    Will my eyes
    Tertutup atau terbuka?
    Be closed or open?
    Saya mengalami semua ini
    I go through all this
    Sebelum kamu bangun
    Before you wake up
Jadi saya bisa merasa lebih bahagia
    So I can feel happier
    Untuk aman di sini bersamamu
To be safe up here with you
    Saya mengalami semua ini
    I go through all this
    Sebelum kamu bangun
    Before you wake up
Jadi saya bisa merasa lebih bahagia
    So I can feel happier
    Untuk aman di sini bersamamu
To be safe up here with you
    Saya mengalami semua ini
    I go through all this
    Sebelum kamu bangun
    Before you wake up
Jadi saya bisa merasa lebih bahagia
    So I can feel happier
    Untuk aman di sini bersamamu
To be safe up here with you
    Aman (di sini bersama Anda)
    Safe up (here with you)

I know Bjork's interpretation, but for me the lyrics are translated into the feeling when you're unsafe in a relationship, but you deny the truth, so you go out and do something dangerous so you can back and feel some safety even from a partner who doesn't really care.... You drink a lot and you become self destructive and then all they have to do is comfort you in the most simple ways, even if they don't care so much.

It's not her interpretation, it is her song, she wrote it. If you get something different from it, great, that is how true art works. But you can't call her explanation of her own song 'her interpretation'.
