Her voice is so pure and earnest and affecting, and the way she performs like a little girl putting on a show for her parents. I get choked up every time I watch her.
what is expressive, is not only her amazing voice, but how magnific her arrangements are too. You can enter a really special atmosfere, for Unravel its like you're alone at home in a regular life and find yourself fearing losing your loved one or something. So intimate
This is so good it melts me. At first I was like, aw, Bjork's voice isn't as good. Then I realized it's just reverb-less, and I'm used to the produced stuff on the album. I got used to it, and was able to bask fully in the natural resonance of her voice. She uses the room for reverb, anyway, if you'll notice.
@@zombockermanit's a subdued take, but it's good, wouldn't say it's special or anything though. I'm a big fan Thom's work in any capacity, I just think what they did in the Thumbs Down performance could've been better. Thom could belt it out then, he was in his prime, both vocally and physically, but he held back, which was probably an intentional choice.
I like Thom hes a bit of a musical genius himself. Didnt he say this is the most beautiful so ever written? I think to truly experience it you must listen to every word
Homogenic ..my favorites LP of Bjork. Ona ma gigantyczny talent.Piękny oryginalny głos,czasem brzmiący jak u małej dziewczynki.Technicznie znakomity warsztat wokalny. No. ¡Bjork!
The Beatles son realmente unos revolucionarios de la música, al igual que Björk ¿Por qué no hablar de los dos en lugar de sólo Björk o solo The Beatles?
imagine if bjork was unsigned and unnoticed and started doing this in the living room of some get together you were at. you'd probably poop your pants.
thank you for sharing love & light... 😿 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 beautiful reminders... sharing love & light.. comfort.. to & for allll... always.. all is full of love ~
her passion in the lyrics are really put out there with her singing and i really enjoy that. you don't see many deep songs with beautiful and powerful singing like hers
She had a flue and it effected her voice ofcorse during the Voltatour, I mean the studio album Volta vocal efforts are good. But as Björk said herself, she could have put more time on that project, but she was hungry for touring so she didn't.
While you are away My heart comes undone Slowly unravels In a ball of yarn The devil collects it With a grin Our love In a ball of yarn He'll never return it So, when you come back We'll have to make new love He'll never return it So, when you come back We'll have to make new love While you are away My heart comes undone Slowly unravels In a ball of yarn The devil collects it With a grin Our love, our love In a ball of yarn He'll never return it So, when you come back We'll have to make new love He'll never return it So, when you come back We'll have to make new love He'll never return it So, when you come back We'll have to make new love He'll never return it So, when you come back We'll have to make new love Writer(s): Bjork Gudmundsdottir, Guy Sigsworth
well i love bjork everything she does, but volta tour is the last one of my fave bjork tours, not because of her voice, she is always amazing, it was because the melodies changed =(, i think its cool she changes and dont repeat stuff, but i like the most vespertine tour and greatest hits tour
This is so pretty but it's no wonder she had vocal problems singing like that. I'm glad she's gotten a vocal trainer to help her keep her voice healthy.
I'm a moron because I can actually see faults in singers that I like? Lol should I be praising bad technique? I'm glad she changed how she sings because it saved her voice.
if you compare björk's older performances to her newer ones, you'll hear that her voice isn't nearly as pushed sounding and doesn't crack nearly as often. From what it sounds like, she used to growl her way through songs and would sing from the throat (which usually results in a shorty tone although it sounded good for her). Ever since Biophilia was released, her voice has been so much smoother and just sounds steadier and fuller, which leads me to believe that she's gotten a coach and has started to properly sing from her diaphragm instead of her throat. Singing from the throat = bad. Singing from the diaphragm = good. You should feel your abdominal muscles tensing when belting, not your throat.
U are my heart allison
Im not ok ill keep waiting
I was luckily there! Sitting right in front just a few feet from her
@@juniorcitizen ,you are very lucky
Her voice is so pure and earnest and affecting, and the way she performs like a little girl putting on a show for her parents. I get choked up every time I watch her.
ok, weirdo
This is my favorite version. Her voice is so raw and delicate. So forceful and wonderful at the same time. I’m tearing up with every note
Still come back to it sometimes when I want to hear the song
Well there's this thing called confidence, it's a big factor in how loud you can project your voice. Apparently she's got a lot of it.
It helps when your voice is perfect. Lord knows I can't sing like that.
I love how everyone in the back is quiet and looking at her mesmerized.
The intensity of the harpist is contagious..
even her rehearsal sounds like a grammy performance
The grammys are shit. They don’t deserve her
@@bjarca3639 🤣 you are right
I noticed that she doesn't always sing the lyrics; she improvises with such great skill!
And she's beautiful too! ;)
It might just be the most brutal and revealing and beautiful song ever written
This song is so raw, so pure & uncut.
what is expressive, is not only her amazing voice, but how magnific her arrangements are too. You can enter a really special atmosfere, for Unravel its like you're alone at home in a regular life and find yourself fearing losing your loved one or something. So intimate
1:55 lord almighty....that vibrato is divine
I do not get tired of hearing this version, it always makes both eyes and heart overflow in feelings. Amen, Björk!
I've searched far and wide for someone that puts this much effort into singing.. so far, no good. Keep it up Bjork.
+Brian Foster very true, man. Do you know Joanna Newsom?
I sure don't Adam. Sorry to disappoint.
Brian Foster She's one of those rare talents that might just equal Bjork. Check her out!
wow I was just gonna suggest her lmao
what about thommo :'(

so much emotion and power coming from goddess Bjork

July 18, 2019 currently the best live vocal emotionally passionate performance I’ve observed.
This is the greatest piece of standard definition footage of recorded music I've ever seen in 40 years of loving music.
Its possibly the most honest and beautiful love song ever written and could only be sung with her voice
Thom yorkes version is pretty good

Wish I could understand that extended bridge! Such beautiful and complex notes! There is no imitating her voice.

yes
people do it all the time.....not all the diamonds are mined my dear 🙂
Don't worry, I brought enough diapers for everyone 😮 !!!! ❤
I'd die haha its so perfect
Безусловно!
I consider this version is better than the original
Less porn. I agree.
No!
Idk I really love her voice overlapping in the original
Not better, but incredible
I think its wayyy better yeah
It's beautiful i almost cry
Oh my God, this makes my heart ache. So powerful and so surreal.
this is so beautiful my innards feel blue and happy at the same time
2021 and still wondering been there in that living room listening to her
Raise your hand if you're visiting all the things in the world you KNOW are beautiful and pure in this time of ugliness and BS.

This is amazing. But if you haven't seen it already look up "So Broken" on Jools Holland. The best ever.
So broken , my favorite as well... she sings it with such emotion...
precisando dessa mulher aqui em casa durante a quarentena. rainha!
0:01 - 03:28 de perfección en una sola canción
The most interesting instrument we've ever heard, her voice.

Fucking wow. Jesus Christ. Lol goddamn this is so good. I melt every single time I hear her.
What a stunning vocal. Wow.
Her voice is the weirdest in a most beautiful way, i can't explain my emotion. Really hahaha.
I love the little melody change up at 1:43
Adore this performance 😍

How privileged those people:)
the people in this room had a better "show" that some people are having today in super big events.

I cannot stop crying.
I'm always happy to see footage I've never seen before thank you for the upload.

While you are away
My heart comes undone
Slowly unravels
In a ball of yarn
The devil collects it
With a grin
Our love
In a ball of yarn
He'll never return it
So, when you come back
We'll have to make new love
He'll never return it
So, when you come back
We'll have to make new love
While you are away
My heart comes undone
Slowly unravels
In a ball of yarn
The devil collects it
With a grin
Our love, our love
In a ball of yarn
He'll never return it
So, when you come back
We'll have to make new love
He'll never return it
So, when you come back
We'll have to make new love
He'll never return it
So, when you come back

He'll never return it
So, when you come back
