How to Create a Windows 10 Bootable USB Drive (Tutorial)

Some people are intimidated by this, but the process is fairly simple and should be done before you have any problems. Good advice. Also you can store your windows (and other software) licence information and keys in most password managers and safely back up the encrypted data in the cloud.

Making a boot disk doesn't require the files on your PC, so as long as you can access the web and have a working USB you can create one. But if your PC is too messed up to create a boot disk and you don't have friends with a PC, you can create a boot disk from a smart phone that can connect to a USB stick. You can also get windows on a pen drive although that will likely cost... Note that Windows is a standard product so you are unlikely to need a special version. After you install it you will likely need to update the device drivers for your hardware. One other thing: if you want to keep the data on the drive where you are installing windows be careful to select the option to only install windows and not wipe the entire drive at the same time.
